  1. Eh, I don't think it would sell that well. The Lego Company usually targets kids because it's a larger market. I know a lot of kids who live in the UK who are Doctor Who fans, but not in the US. I don't think it would do that well in the US. Doctor Who isn't shown on the TV in US I think (correct me if I'm wrong), and it's not very well known among kids. So no, I think it would only sell well in the UK.
  2. WOW. Much better then what I expected. And it looks like a great way to get Cad Bane, Senate Commandos, Space Pirate and a black Assassin Droid cheap. Nice rare figures and a very, very good looking speeder. I'm expecting it to be around 20-30, pretty good deal if you ask me.
  3. (Sorry about the bump.) More and better pics:
  4. Very, very, very late. But, I just want to say that I absolutely LOVE the snowtrooper pic on the first page. In my opinion the most meaningful and the best pic. Keep up the good work! This one.^^ Amazing, it really captures a sense of peace and emptiness. Brilliant photo.
  5. Thanks for the extra pics! After seeing this review I'll definitely have to consider getting this set. Of all the 2010 SW sets this one has been my favorite so far.
  6. Thanks for the great review, ReZourceman! Eh, the only problem I have with Grevious is that he looks to cartoon-y to be scary. The arms can be easily modded with this piece: Just attach one to either arm and connect the second pair of arms to the ends of it. Not perfect but it will work better then just having the arms hanging out at a awkward angle as they come. If you have time could you see if that mod would work and post a pic, ReZourceman?
  7. I LOVE IT. Even though it has a good price to parts ratio, it's probably going to be too expensive for me to afford.
  8. Amazing ship! There aren't words to describe this. Also, where did you get the Collectible Robot Minifigure?
  9. That would actually be quite interesting... I'll have to try it sometime. The TARDIS is made up of 5 parts, the doors, the column in between the doors, the base, the top. And inside the TARDIS is a column of 2 x 4 bricks. At the top and bottom of each side a 2 x 4 brick sticks out and on the end of each of those are a hinge that holds the doors in place. It's all very sturdy making it quite swooshable.
  10. A MOC I made a while back. I was in a Doctor Who mood and I decided to make one out of Lego. Sorry about the not so great quality pics, but my digital camera broke a while back so I'm afraid these are the only pics I have. For those who are wondering it measures 8 inches high by just over 4 inches long, and weighs 1 pound. It took around 6 hours to make and used pretty nearly all the blue bricks I had. Unfortunately, it is not bigger on the inside.
  11. I just hope they re-release Jango's Slave I. That's one set I've been hoping to get my hands on for years.
  12. Exactly, everything about it is awesome, it had so much potential, but it all went to waste, in my opinion. The build is the exact same, just a few new pieces here and there, nothing really different from the 2006 one. And that's where I'm so disappointed. Sure, the figs are nice, but all they did was take the 2006 one, change a bit of detail and bump up the price by 30 USD. I expected more from this Lego Slave I. It's still a good set if you missed the 2006 version, but the price is a big turn off.
  13. Isn't why they re-released Slave I because it was the anniversary of Empire Strikes Back? At least that's what I thought, which is why I thought that Slave I would look more like this: (A screencap from the movie.) Here it has the sand green with brown color scheme, and I personally think it suits it better. It looks more dirty, battleworn, etc. Fitting for a bounty hunter is the main point. The new Slave I looks far to "clean and shiny" in my opinion.
  14. Ehhh, I was pretty excited for this set, but after seeing the review... Don't get me wrong, it was a great review, but seeing the set itself it is 99% the same as 6209 from 2006. All they changed were a few minor details, the color scheme (which I personally think looks worse) and added a few flick missiles. The only reason I would get this set would be for the figs, although I doubt it. The 2006 one cost 50 USD for 537 pieces, a steal in my opinion. This one should have about the same, or less from what I estimate, but for at least 20 USD more. In my opinion, the 2006 one is still king. But still, thanks for the review, CopMike.
  15. I'm guessing this is the "Clone Wars" version. So the blue may be some leftover from Jango's armor.
  16. Nice mini figures all around. Although, I have to say, the detail is a bit too high on Han's shirt, it makes the rest of him and all other figures around him look kinda cheap. I do wish the Boba's helmet and jetpack were dark green. There's something about that sand green color that makes him look so plastic, in my opinion.
  17. It was amazing to see this thing in the flesh (or plastic). It was, by far, the most impressive model I have ever seen. As for the piece count I used the dimensions given to estimate 20,000. So close and yet so far. I did manage to win a Indiana Jones mini figure, so it wasn't a total loss. Again, fantastic job with this, it was really nice to meet a you in person, Einsteinonthebeach.
