Great :glare: Earlier today a terrorist fraction in Iraq declared a fatwa on the Danish forces and there's even been demonstrations in Baghdad over this megablocking comic strip. In Palaestine they've begun burning pics of our prime minister along with pics of George Bush. This is not good being compared to the USA (no offense, but our foreign policy is a little different). And even Bahrain demands that our Queen excuses for the entire Danish nation - I am so ready to go to my attic, fetch my uniform and sign up for war (jk). It's just a comic and they've even said SORRY several times - the world is odd. That does it - while writing this I just heard in the radio that the newspaper that printed the pics has recieved a bomb threat and the police is currently evacuating the premises. Man this better be a hoax threat or else this is going seriously outta hand... KimT

Maybe the dino line is a look into the future for lego. Maybe there also using it to see peoples reaction to having weapons in lego. I still don't see the argument of "military would be to violent" standing. Not with what they curently offer. And why can't there be any imagination in an army theme? Also, i you don't have to have it a "theme". You could have maybe a designer, or techinc tank or plane. Nothing wrong, or violent there. I just don't think LEGO'll ever do contemporary military minifig scale. They've done some military stuff in designer sets as discussed above. But never anything modern / contemporary. I'd love it if they did - but I don't think they'll ever do so :( KimT

I for one think this is funny. A joke on a joke misinterpreted - does it get any wackier? *wacko* I might consider getting some of these new sets - they look more and more like "real" castle - perhaps they'll be any good in 2 or 3 years :-D KimT

Before Christmas a Danish newspaper had a comic strip which featured a pic of the Prophet Muhammed. This has caused anger towards Denmark in the Islamic parts of our world. As it all seemed to die a Norwegian newspaper reprinted the strip and now megablocks is lose. In Palaestine they burn the Danish flag and threaten to attack Danes and Libya and Syria has withdrawn their ambassadors - over a comic strip - is this insane or is it just me? I bought the Uplink and Sentry from the Exo-Force theme yesterday and Friday I bought the small Dino 2010 set 7294 - kinda neat - nice pieces: black helmet, military look torso and I think the raptor is ok.. KimT

The vassal/citizen and so forth titles change with the amount of post that You've made. Check the top section of the forum for more info on how and what. I just bought the Uplink and Sentry. I like the orange colour scheme in the Uplink and the minifig - but 14 stickers for a set that small drives one mad within seconds >:( As for the Sentry :oD I'm so gonna buy a bunch of them and have an army *wub*. Both sets are fairly cheap and good for spare parts. They hold plenty of interesting pieces especially the Sentry that has the "light brown creamy colured" parts which are truly awesome and also a "black R2D2 body piece" KimT

Er...yes...but that is not an "army theme" is it? It's a designer set. What I meant was that we'll never see a theme featuring modern military minifigs and minifig sized vehicles and planes! We'll have themes for play and imagination like Vikings, Castle, Dino Attack and Exo-Force but never a modern war theme with suicidal bombers, SEAL teams, Nukes, Jet fighters and the like... KimT

We'll never see an army theme. We'll get semi army themes as Exo-Force or Dino-Attack, since they're imaginative. We'll never see a theme in which we get camouflaged modern infantry, Abrams Tanks or F-16's. LEGO won't go that far. We just gotta work with what we got and get |-/ KimT
