the firefighting game: the true story!
KimT replied to snefroe's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Bla bla bla Here's the evidence that the Vikings are not afraid of rollercoasters and such. It may not be the extremely dangerous racer ride :-| - which to some is a dangerous thing, but to kids and vikings a straight up non-PG ride. BTW "BLAME CANADA" :-D ;-) -
[still thinking about what Phes ment with the previous post] I've just bought the 7019 Viking Fortress (in Windsor X-D ) and these are my thoughts on it: 3 Catapults - maybe that's overdoing it :-X Also I'm not sure the Vikings were that much into catapults - but they do add some playability to the set. The "prison" or cage is an acceptable feature, though the baby dragon is crappy and reminds me more of a guarddog... ;-) What I do love is the "hinging" of the different fortress parts *wub* This allows one to construct more parts and add them for a fortress immense. Also I hope it's a sign of more sets with "hingeability" like the good old castle sets - Viking Blacksmith, Viking Stables and so forth. The set has a huge amount of bricks that can be used for one's own Viking MOC ideas and all in all I say that this is a must have. Viking On! KimT

the firefighting game: the true story!
KimT replied to snefroe's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
As for the insults on us cheating I can only reply: "Was it difficult to understand when the employee said: DON'T START UNTIL I SAY SO!?? The not so superteam with last years French and Belgian losers obviously had to try a sneak start. Anyways we let them have about 2 meters of cheating start until we started the pumps - and we even got there first *sweet* Then the other lie about who hit the most - this was US (The Viking Team). The house was dry on the outside and soaked on the inside. This is my reply to all posts before this and all after: I dare anyone here to challenge the Viking Team next year... just remember that one does not win silver medals :-D :-P KimT -
And whilst searching for exo force promotionals and stuff for copmike 8801 Knights' attack barge 8802 Dark Fortress Landing more than half price = 20 Euros... KimT

You should call LEGO direct and talk to them. They're nice and will surely send the missing torso unless it's a SW :'-( No need to flame them before they have a chance of maikng it right... KimT
-
They were released as part of this week's Donald Duck Magazine. I'm off to see if I can get more for my fellow EB members. They price will be 3Euros or 4 USD... I'll post them in the buy, sell, trades and finds if I get any KimT

As much as I love Dr Who, I don't think that these are the best ever! They're pretty good and that's about it. KimT

So before going to Windsor I bought these two sets. The only thing to say is, that You get a minifig in each and that's about it. I guess one couldn't ask much from promotionals, but the thing that puzzles me is, how on earth does these guys "drive" their outfits? No controls and weapons are handheld. Judge for yourselves: And now the red one: Considering the price I'll give them a clean 7.0 for the bricks and the minifigs. The real crappy thing is that once again someone decided to replace the space gun with side sight in the white set - a bit confusing and very unprofessional :-| KimT

Welcome Ultra Prime Enjoy the EB experience *y* KimT

One rule? Ohh boy :-| Yeah it's behave or else You'll be taken for a spammer and that's not good my newly arrived EB friend KimT

The Adventures of Johnny Thunder 4
KimT replied to Athos's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great work as usual. I love the story except for the "to Be Continued" part. Can't wait for the rest of the story... *sweet* KimT -
Nice work. Could You post closeup pics of the fretruck, it looks great and I'd like to see it a bit closer. And also please post more closeups of the police car and the jet plane - that is if You want comments on them. It's easier to comment on good things or suggest improvements with better pics. MOC ON! *y* KimT

Seems like we now have a solution 5 for the CD compilation. 5: post a link for your brickshelf folder in this thread and I'll download from that. Already doing it to Hobbes' and Jonfett's pics. KimT NB My brickshelf gallery should be up soon. Link will follow.... :-/

THE OLD Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List
KimT replied to The Middleman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
My nominations for the Event are: copmike = for being very generous [purple helmet and more] jonfett = for accepting a red exo force mech which might should have been the white snefroe = for a full exo force deal and I think that's it [That'll do] KimT -
Oh boy someone here is looking to get "chambered" ;-) And NO the cookies aren't good actually they suck. The label states that "The cookies may contain traces of soya" - think about it. "That'll do" KimT BTW - why is this thread in the LEGO trains and Town section instead of "Buy, sell, trades and finds"? KimT

Ahem... :-$ Seems like I was promising too much too fast. Apparently my MAC doesn't work well with my PC. The resizing thing was a BAD idea. Now I have to do it over -this may take a while = pics wont be available until late Monday or early Tuesday. I have to call my MAC friend and have a solution. KimT [double posting *wacko* ] But You may have this SUPERSIZED pic titled "LEAVING" as a teaser ;-) KimT

As I write this post resized pics are being uploaded to my brickshelf folder. For those of the eventgoers that wishes for a cd compilation of pics, please send med the pictures You've taken and I'll gather all on a cd and send it back. You can do one of the following things 1. email me the pics at bse19192@gmail.com and include Your adress 2. send me a cd with Your pics and adress (PM me for my adress) 3. send me Your memory card and adress (PM me for my adress) and I'll send back the card ASAP. 4. Panic and therefore send me a PM first. My pics are sized 1024x768, but the pics that go to my brickshelf are only sized 640x480 :'-( Thanks for an awesome event - beware of the German Sheperds guarding Lego near You!! I love it *wub* [guess I have to say that! :-P ] Reminds me of the good ol' days in Bosnia. Can't wait to see more pics of the jeep stuffed in the back - (read closeup pics) KimT

I don't like the fact that they are carrying the printed shields, I liked the stickered ones better. These are too big, I hope they still change it :( . I agree - perhaps they could change the "regular" sticker shield to a printed shield. Now that would be great instead of these large radar dishes! KimT

Nice review Yes yellow is a girlie colour compared to the ever awesome red jsf :-P KimT

I'm not so sure. Yes we've seen only two sets so far. But it may be that LEGO has several more up their sleeve. Remember that the Vikings weren't meant for the wide audience. They didn't plan to release it in the US but by popular demand they did. This must mean that the Vikings theme is selling well. My guess is that there will be a follow up wave late this year or jan - feb next year. To Lindisfarne ATTACK! :'-) KimT
