This is a war You can't win - We've got the Striking Venom" Great colour scheme, not so many stickers, several robots, great durability and playability. Though I still can't see (or figure :-| ) how to work the disc launcher... The discs are coming up the launcher in all directions when fired and as in the Hero Tank it isn't attached in a manner that allows easy firing *n* My verdict 9/10 and *y* *y* *y* KimT

Great to have yet another AFOL enter the boards :-) I've been to Hungary on several occasions myself and I must say that I envy You the Balaton Lake and Budapest (to me the prettiest Capitol of Europe). Knowing that there already is a review I still decided to do yet another of this set. First (to get things started) here's a pic of the thingy: From afar it looks pretty cool *y* But it's actually pretty far from cool when closely looked at |-/ It has a great colour scheme - orange ROCKS!, but the excessive use of technical parts really stand out and makes the track suspension look fragile: In order to "cover" the open designs the LEGO designers added exhaust pipes :-X and they're not cool. Then there's the gun turret. I still don't understand how he controls the cannon or even how to fire the disc launcher since the attachment to the tank makes it nearly impossible (the turret turns when the disc launcher is pushed): [above is an image of the attachment between tank and turret *n* ] The idea have four tracks is actually awesome. The design used is B-A-D. The tracks are "loose" and when adding force to push them into motion the tank collapses: The tank looks more like a tortoise than a robot slaying piece of war machinery :'-( Last and least there's the rocket launcher on the sides of the tank. They have the same useless connection as the turret and there's no chance to actually "launch" the rockets. I wish they did them like the flammable rockets in the viking-theme. They're stuck to the launcher and it looks horrific: All that said, I must admit that the set holds great bricks *y* The Verdict: Playability 1/10 due to the turret, rockets, tracks, disc launcher (from which the discs keep falling out) Design 3/10 great colour scheme, sorry MB open design, non-hid technic construction Figs 10/10 Exo-Force RULES! Price 5/10 Too expensive for my tatse. Not enough bricks, too many big ones and way too much technic All in all 3/10 (figs don't count ;-) ) Buy it when on sale if You're a collector or just in it for the bricks KimT

I've just acquired this set and I'm kinda dissapointed. The set is very fragile to handle and the disc-cannon is useless. The connection of the cannon to the tank makes it almost impossible to fire - at least very difficult. Nice work on playability LEGO *n* Also the tracks and how they're attached to the tank is crappy. Putting a little weight on the tank in order to make the tracks move results in the entire thing setting on it's belly. My verdict is: 3/10 - it does have some ok bricks and 2 minifigs. And that's about it. If You want an Exo-Force set... then this is NOT the one to get. So far the Mechs and gates have been cool, but this is left hand work *n* *n* :-X KimT NB Pics and my sceptic review will follow as will the Striking Venom and Sentai Fortress [when build :-| ]

I am a fan of Team America and that should say it all... Yeah I know I forgot the S.W.A.T, but that would suggest that these two guys were up to something. The entire MOC has already been taken apart in a ruff manner [like that of an explosion ;-) ]. I'm thinking about suburban enviroment with serious riots for my next project. The batteriy is manufactured in China for the Lego Cooperation. But it looks like a regular rechargeable battery with a quite ordinary connector piece. Check legoshop.com for a better pic of the battery pack. ""Can you tell us about compatibility with Technic and System legos? Could you attach the motors to a technic chassis and make something completely different? like motorize a dump truck or something? how about the chance of using a Mindstorms controller to control those powerful motors?"" No the racers are NOT compatible with technics. It's kinda like trying to mate duplo and system bricks, I guess it can be done but the result = :-X . Check the above pictures of the racer to discover how it's built and the design of the bricks. The RCs are a breed of their own, brickwise that is! KimT
