  1. Yeah and as usual the parts are glued :-X KimT
  2. Neat. I especially like the wheels of that cart. Man it bothers me that the calendar was sold out when I tried to get one and now they
  3. Great work Athos - as usual You make great vignettes. This one definately goes to my desktop for that special christmas feeling *y* KimT
  4. I'm pretty sure he means BL (bricklink.com) KimT
  5. Today's review will be of the 1981 set: 6870 Space Probe Launcher This is a great set. First of all You get one of these: Also the colour scheme is good. A grey launcher transport with a white "probe" *wub* The "probe" is simple, but still a great small spacecraft. As always the lack of an engine and so on could be discussed, but hey this is LEGO and not reality. Maybe the launcher hurls the probe into orbit and let the rest be up to the small gravity that may be? Sort of like a glider? ;-) The set allows loads of play. The transport can twist and turn and also the launchpad can be raised or lowered. The "probe" is easy to "attach" or "dis-attach" when played with. This set is a good addition and holds many good bricks for classic space MOCs. Definately a "must have" IMO KimT
  6. Nice review and I agree with Ras. I must have two of these *wub* KimT
  7. Thx Legomilk for sharing those pre-boxart pics. Man I can't wait to get my hands on those new creator sets. They'll be a fine replacement for the x-pods. KimT
  8. It always surprises me what some people will post just to sound important. If people would just post info instead of "I know something, but can't tell!" *n* *n* - Great :-| ... I know nothing but do manage to shut up about it! KimT
  9. what what what!!! The Classic Space minifig is the ONLY space minifigs IMO. Since that very cool planet logo there hasn't been any cool spacefigs. KimT
  10. I use the following browsers Safari, Firefox and IE and I've not had any problems using the Eurobricks forum so far since I joined... Could it be that You guys have been tampering the settings in your used browsers? ;-) KimT
  11. Some of us are just waiting impatiently... ;-) KimT
  12. Lately I've been upgrading my classic space collection and I've decided to review sets I buy, that hasn't already been reviewed here in the Docking Bay. This time I'm reviewing the 1982 classic space set :"Mobile Rocket Transport" Here's a few shoots of the build model: and with rocket ready to launch: Still with the rocket ready but a little further back: In the set there's two classic yellow spacemen which look like this: The review: I think this is a really great set. It has some cool playable features: A: The rocket can be deployed from the vehicle or from the ground - also one's own rockets can be modified to fit the transport easily. B: The wheels' suspension allows the transport to travel in hostile moonbase terrain (moon baseplates) as the wheels can move up and down pretty far. The colour scheme is okay, but not great. I'm not really fond of the use of gray and blue. I'd rather is was all grey or all blue :-| There's not much else to say, except that the set holds two yellow minifigs and perhaps it should have been a mix instead for example a red and a yellow and so on. The transport is quite big and might outsize for example the Galaxy Eplorer or one of the moonbases... Still this is a "classic" and IMO of the better sets from the Golden Age of Classic Lego Space. As for a grade, I'll give it 8/10... there's better sets, but there's definately worse sets to get. KimT
  13. Great work. That's a pretty cool MOC you've made *y* KimT
  14. Agreed! Nice work. *y* KimT
  15. I agree, the gun looks crappy *n* IMO the waist is also way too thin. The mech looks like a chestnut animal. Though I'm surely getting this I still think the 7700 and 7701 are better designed. But hey! with better pics I might change my mind. ROCK ON! KimT
  16. Well I think it's a downside because: A: it's huge and kinda useless with the regular system brick (IMO) B: It's made of soft plastic like the bionicle parts and I'm not a fan of "soft" LEGO :-X C: It's "Fisher Price" or even MB *n* KimT
  17. First let me say that I never imagined buying anything bionicle themed, but this set proves it wrong. I bought it on sale and decided to do a review before I split it into a zillion pieces again (this has already been done - so no more pics) This is the set to be reviewed: And to start things of here's the lot of Bionicle minifigs: I think they're pretty neat and the teeth and eyes are printed on, which means NO STICKERS *y* *y* Then we have some accesories, a pair of surfboards with launchers mounted. Not much in my liking, but I think they'll do fine in the hands of a 10 years old boy. "Surf's up!" X-D The bridge and towers actually look quite cool and has a lot of dark blue slopes and arches that'll spice up anyones brickcollection: On both towers the shield on top is a release mechanism that'll (if hit by the surflaunchers) let go of either the left or right side of the bridge. Behold!: Also the two towers has portocullis (spelled like this?) that's released and pulled back up quite easily. Lots of play there *y* The only "downside" :-| is the raised baseplates (BURPs one might call them): Final verdict: Playability 10/10 launchers, collapsing bridge, portocullis, surfboards, minifigs... *y* *y* Design: 7/10 very open design - I'd rather have the ol' style like classic castle :-| Awesome bridge. Colours 8/10 great use of dark blue and black, the BURPS are awful, silvery bionicle parts *n* *n* Stability 9/10 I tried rocking and tumbling this thing and it still kept together, the surfboards are quite useless though Minifigs 9/10 nearly perfect, they'll do well as supplemental parts for my exo-robots or as an addition *y* All in all 8/10 - this is purely based on loving bionicle (which I don't). Great set for spare parts and if a fan of bionicle also a great playset that'll keep one playing for hours and hours. BTW the shiny bionicle parts and launchers are soon to be sold on eBay, should anyone be interested that is. :-P X-D Enjoy and PLAY ON! KimT EDIT: ups I forgot more pics here when public
  18. I agree with my fellow danes. "Hand over the date or else..." KimT

    my own divers

Nice use of those large bricks. I really like it *y* Keep it up :-) KimT
  20. Thanks for the pics and a nice review. Looks like I'm going to buy more Exo-Force in the future. I noticed the drawing (the latter of your pics) - seems like we might be in for a Robot gate set... That would be neat! A human gate on one side and the robot gate on the other. Time for Exo-Dice... KimT
  21. My answers: Classic Space Colour Scheme The Ships Hey what can I say? The Classic Space wasn't all that into trans-clear and strange UFO designs. It was all about plain space trekking. Great colour scheme - grey, blue and white. It even has the coolest theme logo to this date *wub* *wub* . And don't get me started about the ships. - just think of 918 and 928... best ships ever designed to roam the outer LEGO space *y* *y* KimT
  22. Sadly I must admit to liking the original versions a whole lot more. It looks a little too much like taking the original instructions and just change a brick here and there. Nah! Give me ye olde Galaxy Explorer or Starfleet Voyager anytime *wub* *wub* *wub* But that's probably just me.... incarnated Classic Space fan KimT

    New 2007 city sets

Arw man :-| Here I am, sitting quietly in front of my computer reading news on my favourite board and THIS comes up! >:-) Hell might not have no fury like a woman scorn, but the "friendly" giver of the Duplo Cow set will pay....oh yeah he'll pay for handing me a present that's haunting me... Anyways I can't wait for the 2007 sets to become available. I'm so in for these new City sets, especially the new fire-fighter 4WD SUV with trailer *wub* *wub* LEGO ON! KimT
  24. Nice...[whistles] It looks great. KimT
  25. So we're discussing box sizes again are we? Man this is another never-ending story like the ever fiery new grey versus old grey discussion. The only thing to say is; the boxes have the sizes they have and that's that. Do as I do: 1. Open the box 2. Remove LEGO and instruction 3. Throw away box (enviromentally correct) 4. Use LEGO and be merry KimT
