  1. Mkay. I just thought that this was a buy/sell/trade thread purely. I am sorry for the inconvenience and will move this back to the LEGO News & General Discussion thread. I didn't mean to turn your post into something off-topic. Also I've taken the liberty of slightly changing the topics name to a more suitable name.
  2. Now why do you insist on having me quote myself? Please feel free to continue this in the embassy. Actually I suggest starting a topic on this here, as I am sure a lot of members would gladly discuss and talk about it. TLC is in this business for money. I think we all know that. I don't work for free...well, except as a Moderator on Eurobricks. Let's just discuss the sets, this price discussion hasn't really got anything to do with LEGO Star Wars. Also the price for manufacturing different colours are very different. That's why the chrome light sabre hilt was replaced by the grey version.
  3. Great that would be awesome. Nice review though ' Thanks for contributing to our evergrowing review index
  4. I doubt it since the Star Wars movies began in 1976 which is some 20 years before LEGO got the license. A great story though, but not real. Sorry
  5. Ahh yes, that's the one. I was about to take a pic of it. I have it right here at my desk with the "Andy Warhol Stormtrooper" card. No need now - thanks CopMike
  6. I got a Christmas card this last Christmas and it had Santa Vader featuring a red Vader helmet. Now there's a use for it Now what is Hinckley up to with all those new helmets?
  7. Amazing. I like all the little details in this fine bignette. The design of the house in the back is stunning and they way, you've made that hat fly is simple and effective. Nice work - no need for comments on how to make it better. It's as good as it gets
  8. Ahh. Yes, thanks for pointing that out. I'll move that one as well.
  9. Great to see a topic on sharing local intel on shopping I'll just move this to the proper forum.
  10. Welcome to Eurobricks And thanks for that elaborate description of him...you. Look around and I'm sure you'll find whatever you're looking for here.
  11. Buy one and compare it to your black version. And people selling on bricklink rarely cheat. Not that I've experienced anyway.
  12. I think it's a test mold colour. When TLG tests their molds they tend to do it with a colour not used later. Hence the red Vader helmet, black ghost, trans clear ghost and so forth. You can get a red helmet for 30USD+ on bricklink.
  13. Sure. But we're waiting for CloneCommando to say when. Could it be that You're leading right now?
  14. Still that doesn't concern the discussion on the 2008 thread. I suggest posting thoughts and knowledge on this in the proper forum. In this case in the discussion on pricing in the Embassy Forum. Now let's get back to discussion the 2008 sets to still to come
  15. And I'll move it outta here
  16. I never heard it before. And that's funny. Now this better be moved to the right place.
  17. Now something like this doesn't belong here, but in the Buy/Sell/Trade Forum. I certainly hope You posted it here by mistake and not because you don't have enough posts to post in BSTF I'll move this and let it live, but don't do it again.
  18. Ahem! Most of you already post there and this has been mentioned in the 2008 picture thread. Stay on topic and discuss the movie the appropriate place. Now until someone gets info on what sith is in the AAT, perhaps we should let that discussion rest? Now get back on topic or do I have to call in the bounty hunters? "No Disintegration!"
  19. What Falcon costs 40USD to produce? The Millenium Falcon UCS? I find this very hard to believe. You working for LEGO retail and posting something like this on a fan site. You better have proof of this or I'll call your bluff and then I'll be kinda upset.
  20. I'm sure that this set will show up worldwide. Maybe as a TRU exclusive, maybe as a S@H exclusive. But I doubt it. I think it's a regular part of the CW assortment. So stay cool people, it'll come eventually. Let's not turn this into the same panic that arose around the 7666 Hoth Rebel Base and Castle Dwarves Mine. Stay cool, stay on target and comment on the set - this is a review thread and I think we've heard all about pricing and availability at this point
  21. What do you mean? It's not just a box of plastic bricks, it's a silky smooth seductive cardboardbox of ABS plastic bricks. Nope. It's company business. When a brick is replaced by a newer version, they simply add it when the obsolete version is used up. We had quite a fuzz when this changed into this Yeah I know I saw that neat solution in your review. But at first I wanted to construct the set "properly" and then later make some changes. But thanks for reminding me of that. PS: Pics missing in this post will be added shortly
  22. I couldn't resist buying this set. I went to my local toy store and they had this one. I didn't want to buy anything, but by mistake I touched the box and wauw! I've never touched a LEGO box that felt like silk before. - To be sure I discretely touched a few "regular" Lego boxes and they felt nothing like this new Clone Wars set. So I bought it and rushed home. Tonight I built it and sadly I am as happy as I am sad. Why? These are the reasons: Happy: 1. Design - this is a well designed starfighter 2. Pieces - a lot of fine pieces 3. Figs - always nice to get new figs, especially when they have new capes Sad: 1. They've changed the pole brick thing to a new bulkier model: Now that might have been ok (new version in the buttom of the pic), but it makes the staves and some of the fighter look goofy. I've replaced the pole with the old model for your convenience in the following pics: Top = old, Bottom=new Also the Magna Guards can't handle their combat pole very cool in the new version: 2. The cockpit doesn't fit the Magna Guard Droid (or is it the other way around): 3. The top of the wings falls off easily when wing is lifted in upward position: It's only attached by a 1x1 round plate and a 1x3 plate - not much to struggle with the hands (and force) of a child opening the wing to get the crappy pole/staff/rod for his does-not-fit-the-cockpit-magna-guard-droid. A nice set, that has some flaws...damn
  23. Welcome to Eurobricks. Those modularlike buildings look great - I especially like the police station. Now that's how Lego should have done their I'm sure You'll find equally minded members in the Town Forum.
  24. That has been talked about earlier and I wont even tell you who the rumours say is in the AAT. Perhaps reading the thread might be a good idea? And please don't post LIKE THIS. So read the thread and you'll be up to date on all info/rumours so far.
  25. Simple. Licensed versus non-licensed. With the Taj-Mahal TLG makes ALL the money. With licensed like SW they DON'T. I hope that satisfies your question.
