You nailed just how I feel. It's way too easy to say anything on the net. As for those who claim they've got this, I highly doubt it. Not a single picture of box or polybags is out there. Anyways as I said earlier, I've recreated both sets and will review them shortly. I forgot some essential pieces when ordering from BL (the wheels, the wrong skeleton head), so it'll be a few days before the sets are complete.

The one in the box is the same Vader as the one in the Death Star (Set#10188) The extra is part of a PR stunt and 85000 will be handed out at different places in the world. So no-can't-do about the chrome Vader being in the box.

Which is odd. I've bought 3 calendars this year and 2 last year and none had missing parts. Perhaps you'd better check those polybags an extra time

LEGO Customer service doesn't always have all the answers. I recall of them calling the Chrome Black Vader a fake

C'mon guys. If these were real, then we'd have polybag or boxshots all over brickset, bricklink and brickshelf. Noone has ever seen a boxshot. All we've ever seen is the picture from the instructions in LEGO's cache. So let go of your promotional dream. These sets were never produced. The next one to say so, better have the box or polybag to back up his/her words.

Erhm.. They don't exist. Yes I managed to acquire bricks enough to actually make 20 sets of each. I'm considering what to do with those 40 sets in total.
