I'd say custom sculpting over non pirate headgear (i.e. standard hair or a head). Like if you want the hat to be on one fig's head forever, just sculpt onto the head. Or sculpt it onto a hear peice so it can be removed.

Wow. This is quite good, though I highly doubt it's for smuggling rum. Why would the Imperial Navy need to smuggle their rum? That'd be pirates doing that. Nice Moc all over I think, besides the title.

WOWEE! What a Nice stern castle! I'd try to make slopes leading down to the deck, like the bsb, so the stern castle integrates. But it's all up to you my friend. : )
