Leewan Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Hi guys ! Here's my latest MOC ! It's a Toa of Gravity, called Kokama. Nothing too fancy for the design, I tried to keep things simple, my main goal was to build something with my recently bought purple parts. Brickshelf / MOCPage What do you think ? C&C are greatly appreciated ! Quote
Chro Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I feel like a purple Pakari would look better than the black one, but I think you probably only have two of them. Cool build! :) Quote
DraikNova Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Pretty nice. I have to agree with Chro though. Quote
zero1312 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Very nice!!! Too bad LEGO Doesn't produce this shade of purple anymore. Quote
Infernum Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Nice! Love the shoulders, upper, and lower leg designs! Quote
Leewan Posted October 30, 2013 Author Posted October 30, 2013 Thanks for the feedback guys ! I feel like a purple Pakari would look better than the black one, but I think you probably only have two of them. Cool build! :) Exactly, that's why I used them only as shoulder armors. I also tried with a Ruru, he looks more menacing. But I think a black Hau would be the best. I'll have to order one, together with some more purple parts. :D Quote
Takanuinuva Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Not to complain but I've seen that torso design before. Its very similar to the Impruva Torso that Tokaru came up with. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=214591. Did you borrow ideas from that design or is it just a coincidence Quote
Leewan Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 Not to complain but I've seen that torso design before. Me too, this is a very common technique, and I was too lazy (as often) to try something new. And I've never seen Tokaru's MOCs before, so no, I didn't borrow any idea from his MOCs. ;) BTW, I made some modifications to the torso, with even more purple. Yes ! More purple ! Quote
Chro Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Nice update. And I agree that a black Hau would be more fitting (or a purple Hau if it were to exist)... Quote
SlimShady Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 It's very nice to see some old Bionicle MOCs ... Quote
Legofan225 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Hey Leewan ! great MOC you are an amazing MOC maker ! Quote
Leewan Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 Thanks for those kind comments, guys ! I recently made some more modifications : I changed the color of the eyes/brain and the lifestone : What do you think ? Quote
Chro Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Hmm, yes, the light blue does look better than the orange and trans-clear. Quote
LegoPanda Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 i like it, how did you attach the masks to his shoulders? Quote
Energo Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Mmm...decided to see some MOCs connected with my previous interest. This work looks stylish and elegant, love the mix of colors) Quote
Leewan Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 Thank you guys ! The arms are built this way : And the masks are held by the round hole of the 1x3 beam thin. Quote
LegoPanda Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Nice technique, thans you for showing that Quote
