MOC: Tank

Recommended Posts

Here is a small MOC tank I've recently created. Small enough as it is intended to 'fit in' with my 1980s style 4-wide civilian vehicles. Currently in the process of tweaking and rolling a few off the production line. Hope you like it.

Although I am not a fan of military Lego models, i like your design very much!

I've moved this to Special Themes, the home of military MOCs.

Ha ha ha. You need to space those gears out because where they are now the tank will be going no where!

I had the exact same thought. Give the gears some space.

Otherwise I like the design. Can a minifig fit inside?

I'll take out 2 of the large gears so and see how it looks. I went more for look - not sure if it will look a bit bare with less cogs. I can't make the tank longer as it will look out-of-scale when compared to small 4-wide cars.

A minifig can fit inside the main body (not the turret) but must be lying down (would not win any design for comfort)..

Nice tank, did you base your tank from any real one? :classic:

You could swap the 16 tooth gears for 12 tooth double bevel gears (comes in grey), that would fix your issue of all the gears meshing with each other.

I also would of not of bothered with the old style connector at the end of the main gun.

Thanks for the suggestion; Will check out alternative cogs before deciding which suits best. Tank based on a hybrids of a number of German and Soviet WWII models.
