Captain Flint Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Bluwhorm Cottage is the home of Eric. He is a young man who lives deep in the swamp. The place is very dangerous with a lot of dangerous creatures and living conditions are anything but friendly. And so, here begins his adventure, leaving his home and pass on a dangerous long journey to find ... something. It was fun to build this. Quote
Garmadon Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Another excellent cottage, Captain Flint, awesome work with the walls and roof with the exposed rafters Great landscaping as well - fantastic build Quote
Kai NRG Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Great build Captain Flint, I especially like that roof but the landscaping is also very good! Like the inclusion of the owl! Quote
BrickCurve Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 (edited) Great job on the cottage, the only suggestion I have is the addition of a slightly clearer path. Edited November 7, 2014 by BrickCurve Quote
Slegengr Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 (edited) Nice build, Captain Flint! Those walls and roof are excellent! The stone mottling is beautiful. The roof looks great, especially the worn-out appearance and the spider web across the hole. I like the mottling on the ground as well, though I am not sure it is fitting for a swamp. It seems a bit too rocky with not enough mud and water (though it depends on how you define "swamp"). I also think the dark green puddles would stand out a bit more if there was not other dark green ground as well. The bubbles in the sludge look great. The net tree-trunk is great as well. Brick on, Captain Flint! Edited November 7, 2014 by Slegengr Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 That tree looks so evil, like its gonna grab you up! I love the shape of the house. I like how you made the house look old, I like it! Quote
de Gothia Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Holy cow! This is so great! So many nice details on this one! I love the spider web behind the damaged roof, an excellent eye to detail there! Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 This is great! It seems very desolate and barren. Quote
mrcp6d Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Sweet MOC! The door handle is awesome, though I'm not sure I could bring myself to break a LEGO chain to do it... I do have to wonder what kind of nasty Nocty wood they're burning to put out yellow smoke. Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Very, very cool! I do have to wonder what kind of nasty Nocty wood they're burning to put out yellow smoke. Beard hair from Mitgardian bearded ladies! Quote
Jorrith Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Beard hair from Mitgardian bearded ladies! LOL! Excellent build! Really enjoying that roof there, i might have to borrow that technique some time. Quote
Infernum Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Great! Love the house, the roof and stonework is great! Awesome landscape too! Quote
Jakorin Swiftsword Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Wow! Nice job! The house is just fantastic! Quote
mccoyed Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Great work here. Lots of details to love. My favorite things are the layering effects on the roof and landscaping. Quote
Hammerhand Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Awesome job! You've got lots of great texturing here, and the details like the bubble in the swamp and the rafters showing through are top notch. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Another lovely Nocturnus build Superb textures and color usage on the cottage and dilapidated bridge is a great detail Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Great build, Captain! Why would somebody leave such a nice home like this? (Well maybe because of that strange black tree/creature on the left...) I like your non-rectangular windows a lot. Quote
MassEditor Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Awesome! The beat up, worn out look of the cottage is so well done. The spider web peaking through the roof is such an incredible detail! You're in Nocturnus, right?? Quote
Captain Flint Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Yes, I am in Nocturnus, MassEditor. Thank you all! I'm glad you like it! Quote
Gunman Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Awesome Cottage again Captain Flint! Your landscaping is also really recognizable Quote
Gideon Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Great build overall and many nice details! I think the patched roof is my favorite here Quote
cesbrick Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Excellent house and texture all over! I love your style of building. It's dark and mysterious. Keep them coming! ;) Quote
