What inspired me to make this was seeing another brands models (I know the horror). The brand Forever Clever has a line of LEGO like sets. You can look them up online if desired. When you watch the reviews the quality of the sets is mentioned. And how it might not be up to LEGO's standards. So on that note I decided to just make my own Hiss Tank. But at the same time I figured I could build one from my existing parts that I own so I took out my Sandcrawler (10144) and started to replicate the Forever Clever model the result is here... As you can see their is a few flaws with their version the most obvious is you can not put a mini figure in the driver's seat. And if you compared it to the original Hasbro toy you would noticed other things off with the Forever Clever model (like you would need more bricks to stabilize the top slopes). So then I started to mess around with version one Tank until some point I was satisfied enough with the basic shape... Using other sets like the original V-Wing as you can see with the pilot in the gunners station. And an aqua-raiders set (7772 lobster strike) and even using 75264 Kylo Ren's Shuttle Microfighter at one point. Then I started to order parts from LEGO (directly). As I continued to fiddle around with the Hiss Tank and make a couple of more part(s) order from LEGO, I eventually came up with my latest version here... I guess the main features I tried to keep from the original toy is the figure in the drivers seat, a figure in the gunners station and a couple of figures riding along in the back. Not to mention trying to keep the basic shape of the original toy. The only down side I could think of the gunner's station the figure should be lower in the tank but unfortunately I could not figure out how to do such a thing with out making the Tank to big. I know their is other MOC ups of this toy out their but I hope you like this one. Here is a link to the rest of the pictures of the Hiss Tank (feel free to ignore the airship or not)... https://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=581285

After my 2 pick-up alternates, I returned to set 10265 twice more but this time to create 2 vehicles heavily inspired by iconic and classic sportscars from the 1960's in which Ford also played a key role, the GT40 and the Shelby Cobra which both fit perfectly with the 1967 Mustang. First the GT40 famous for winning Lemans. The GT40 was first built in England, but the later version in the US. GT04 main by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr The model features working steering wheel, opening doors, and engine cover with an engine that can be removed and displayed separately. GT04 open by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr Next is the Cobra Roadster, also a car that originated in the UK, but which Shelby with the help of Ford imported to the US. There it was equipped with a much larger engine that also required other changes to the chassis and suspension. I built this specific model for the TLCB Lock-down competition Cobra Roadster by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr This was a tricky model to render in bricks due to all its curves. Cobra Roadster rear by Nathanael Kuipers, on Flickr As with the GT40, this model features a working steering wheel and opening doors. Both front and rear open too. The features are as follows: - has working steering via an adjustable steering wheel. - mini working v8 through a differential. - independant front and rear suspension - openable hood via a lever on the dashboard - openable doors and trunk - very sturdy and solid build This can be the first Idea set that has lots of Technic features. If you like my idea, please support. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/cf0541fd-a421-45e1-ba80-cfa9b97c07e8 -

Here we go today with my younger daughter Alice's favourite car of my collection - Shelby Cobra 427. As many builders I've started with a brilliant model from lichtblau, adapting it to Friends dolls requirements (and adding the doors, of course :)), but I haven't liked its proportions and too vintage look. I wanted something more modern and sporty, so I've started the MOC from the scratch. The car is 6 studs wide, as it fits best to its dimensions in comparision with the previous shown Mustang and other cars, and it's heavy duty construction allows playing for my little daughter. The final effect is presented below, I'm almost pleased with it, besides some minor disadvantages, such as tiled grills on the side instead of the modified bricks (quite hard to get in my country, still on my wanted list). I've spent tons of time looking for optimal look of exhaust pipes, but there went Aurie from Chrome Block City in hand, adding some extra bricks to my order for one of the next creations (coming soon!) - I didn't realise, that the chrome helmet horn will fit so well. Hope you like it :)! More photos on my flickr page. Download a LDD file (not 100% accurate there are some differences). My other presentations:
