Very nice, I like the engine at the back and the SNOT construction, very inventive.

Very nice figures. I've never tried building on miniland scale, I might give it a go. I love that office chair though, that's the highlight for me.

Asolutely fantastic MOC, especially after 20 years! I've been tempted to buy some of the power miners stuff to rebuild as construction too but been put off by the big drills and orange parts but you've used them really well here. I especially want to turn the small treaded vehicle into a fork lift truck. Is that the chassis from the bulldozer that you've used? An excellent job

I'm more interested in why TLC chose this castle of all the castles they've released in the past30 odd years. It's relatively recent (maybe the shortest time period between release and 'classic' status so far?), is from one of the least popular castle sub-themes and they're only releasing it in the US. Why not rerelease one of the old modular castles? I'm sure they'd sell much better. I guess it must have been easier to retool for manufacturing of this castle.
I'm pretty disappointed, as I'm guessing others will be too, at TLC's choice. I would have bought it had it been a truely classic castle.
*Rant over!*

It does tolerate corners, I've not had a derailment yet. I'm gonna add some red in the buffers and a dash on the side. I'm thinking about adding some yellow like this one too.
I'm just looking through trains on brickshelf to find some custom buffers. I'm not sure how to add the magnet.
Thanks,

I'm afraid to say those two crates of fruit are taken straight from Market Street! I don't have any lego bananas so the monkeys will never find any. They've taken to auto theft now, as you can see in one of the other MOCs in my Brickshelf.

Very nice job on the modernisation, you've retained the look of the original but achieved a very modern technic look. My brother had that set when we were younger and passed it on to me. I was never quite sure what it was supposed to be. It says Rally on the front, but it's like no vehicle I know.
Do you have the original? It would be good to see the two side by side.

Thanks Rick and Asuka. That's actually where I got the original idea from, Rick, then a little research to discover what sort of train Diesel was based on. I assure you my model is perfectly well behaved.

What is the release date for the farm sets in the UK does anyone know?I believe it's March, late or early I don't know. I can't wait though

I was thinking of making a custom buffer and hitch, not sure if I could get the bumpers to scale though, they're bigger than 1 stud, but not as wide as 2 studs. There aren't any round pieces that I know of that fit that size. I'll have a go once I've finished my current MOCs

A Class 08 Shunter operated by British Rail that I built using mainly bricks from the Hobby Train set. This is my first MOC based on a real train and I'm pretty pleased with it. I chose it cos it's pretty plain without the need for decals and because it looked like it would fit in well with my current trains.
The real deal
Thanks for looking,

Fantastic model, I saw this on Brickshelf earlier and was very impressed. I especially like the decals, I really need to learn how to make those

Thank you very much, Brickster. I'm very glad to be featured on classic-town.net, honoured in fact!
Thanks,

This is an microlight I made a couple of years ago. It's a pretty simple design with 33 pieces plus pilot, but I find it works really well. It's not based on any particular aircraft, in fact I don't believe there are any twin engined microlights out there. It's not supposed to be ultra realistic, just the sort of set that TLC might have released in the late 80s.
The intrepid pilot and his trusty aeroplane
Ready for departure
Oops, is it supposed to do that? An 'exploded' view
One last view of the rear of the aircraft
Unfortunately Lego doesn't produce that propellor piece with the screw of the prop in the opposite direction or I would've done counter rotating props. Due to this foresight on TLC's part these props woul cause far more torque than this rudderless aircraft could deal with and any attempt to take off would be met with a sharp turn and roll to the right and a crash. Lego pilots beware!
Sorry about the background and dirt on the lego. That flash brings out every little particle
Thanks for looking,

On Shop@Home the PF motors and IR reciever come up as related items when I view the Emerald Night's page, perhaps instructions will be included to motorise the locomotive. I'll definately be getting it even without a motor. I just hope tan train windows will be available on pick-a-brick, or perhaps it would be possible to buy the passenger carriage separately too? I don't think I could bear running a largo loco like that with just the one carriage

Very nice vigs, I made my girlfriend a little piano Vignette for valentines, but I forgot to take any pictures! I especially like that bar and the half empty bottles on the shelf

I'm so annoyed we're not getting these in the UK this year. Might have to have a little trip to France one day

Great comics. It's just a pity that Lego, despite being the greatest toy, is so easily intimidated by other toys. I hope Scouse gets his revenge

That's a beautiful building, I like the style. That half built boat is great too. You've really captured the look of its frame. Great job

Thanks guys, this was my first attempt at photographing Lego. I got a bit bored just taking photos so I couldn't resist adding some Fabuland and having a play! I have a bunch more pictures of trains and cars and aircraft, all done in a classic town style and all with Fabuland figures and monkeys causing chaos throughout. Hopefully I'm gonna edit out the backgrounds on the rest today and get them uploaded.

The monkeys, led by an evil bus-driving Fabuland monkey, of Lego City are desperate for bananas! Could this refrigerator truck that's being shunted hold any of those lovely yellow fruits? Only one way to find out...
The monkeys force the train driver to unload all the pallets of fruit; will this one hold the yellowy goodness they so desire?
Check out that monkey's sideburns, I wouldn't mess with him even if he didn't have a gun.
All that lovely fruit wasted, what a shame.
I spent a few hours today photographing some of my MOCs and thought I'd preview my refrigerator car and my Shunter based on a BR Class 08. I need to edit and resize the rest of the photos tomorrow then I'll upload them all to Brickshelf and show them here.

This looks fantastic, I'll be buying it for sure. Any word on whether it will work on standard track corners or do we have to wait for the new track geometries? Also, how wide exactly is the train? The majority seems to be 6 wide with 8-wide greebles but the drivers cab looks 7 wide to me. This will be a fantastic train to own.

Very nice. I love the side detail, as well as the way the stripe isn't quite down the middle. Cars are definately getting bigger; but they're getting a lot more varied too which is nice. I found a 4-wide car yesterday that I made years ago as an attempt to give a car a more unique look as I was fed up with fleets of rectangular bonnets and boots (or hoods and trunks if you're inclined that way.) I'll have to upload some pics to my bricklink sometime.

I was gonna use that part in red with a red plate turned vertically but in the end it looks better using red bricks to build the buffer. It's still a WIP, I'm just about to order some more red bricks and some yellow and black 1x1s so that i can do the striping on the front
