  1. A brick-built frame of the bubble turrets would look so much better, giving the illusion of glass between the spaces. It doesn't NEED to be translucent plastic to match the source material (movies, cross sections) if that means they use a such a primitive half-bubble design. Same thing with the recent Gungan Sub, which would have looked way better with a source-accurate frame IMO.

Also, it's really time that LEGO built a proper aft section for the RGS. The past 2 RGS sets have been very inaccurately designed at the rear. The wing turrets aren't manned either, but actually rotating spheres suspended in a frame and controlled by the co-pilot gunner.:

Totally agree, I'm already thinking about how to mod the RGS. And thanks for the pic, I haven't seen this MOC and it's really amazing

  2. Do keep in mind that these models are still preliminary. If I remember correctly, the RGS model seen in the Yoda chronicles trailer had brick-built backs to the gun pods. That's probably what they will do in the final version.

Yes I was expecting the cannons to be like that. I hope you are right and they fix it, because That's themost wanted set of the year on my list (Oh and the Corellian Defender-class Light Corvette  )

  3. Now that I returned to LEGO I started to keep it a secret, but my parents eventually found out so they know it. I told my girlfriend too and to my surprise she accepted it in a way. The reason I kept it a secret it's because most of people don't understand how great LEGO is, they think it's a toy for children, and they think you are childish if they find out you are a fan. Now I'm not keeping it a secret (Also it's hard to hide the Black Pearl  ) but I only talk about it if somebody asks.

Now I just have to find a balance between my Bank account and my LEGO purchasing desires :classic:

  4. Hm....I'm not sure why they're using repainted Stormtrooper armor for him when Yoda Chronicles is supposed to take place during the Prequel-era timeline. Not really a fan of the minifig, though. Hopefully the others impress me more.

It can be a prelim helmet, but I kinda like it. Also I think his shield is a bit simple, maybe later they add some painting.

  5. Thanks for the pictures!

The new AT-TE looks a little short or maybe it's the same size but a little taller. Although it looks very nice with the new improvements and I like the figs.

The JEk-14 starfighter is not a big deal but it looks ok. Although I am really interested in the figures, the guy 2nd from right looks like a clone trooper with lightsaber :look:. Is he supposed to be JEK-14? I'm curious to see bigger pics.

  6. Your review is excellent and it's really gives us all the little details. I was very happy when I saw that Lego makes a new A-wing beacuse In Hungary the prevoius one wasn'tt released(don't know why :sceptic: ). Anyhow I'm totally gonna buy this set and your review just review just made my point of view stonger

  7. I'm planning to collect some Hobbit sets, especially the 79003. I also want to have my hands on some SW sets but seeing the summer setlist I'd rather wait for the new Ep 2 goodies and save some money until then (just buy the TOR battleack and the A-wing). And recently I just fell in love with the Medieval Market Village and the Haunted house as well... Oh my poor wallet :look:

  8. Hi there!

As Lego accompanied me in my life I just couldn't leave it. About 4 years ago I stopped playing and collecting them, but always seeing the new fabulous sets coming out just made my heart beating, so I just hopped on the Lego train again with some nre Star Wars sets and the 8014 Black Pearl. In the meantime I also checked Eurobricks frequently and I thought that it would be very good to speak with people about this hobby/lifestyle:)

  9. Also note that the two sails are of very different sizes in the prelim photograph. I suspect the issue here is the massive foreshortening caused by a terrible photograph, rather than a terrible prototype.

I was thinking about this as well, taking into consideration that the new barge has way more bigger sails than the 6210. But sadly the Republic Gunship's wings are not victims of bad photography, they look really short. About 6 stud shorter than the 7676 and as I couldn't buy it I was really over the moon when I heard that they release a new RG. :cry_sad:
