  1. Well I'm really looking forward to a new Slave 1, since it's one of the most iconic ships in OT that I still don't have. The thing is, I just found a local store here with an old stock, they have some 8097 left and I'm really tempted to get one... I can't afford both, if I get this old one now probably I will not get the new version anytime soon. In the other hand, if the new one is an UCS (as rumors are suggesting) then probably I couldn't afford it anyway... I would prefer a minifig scale version (and still hoping it is)... Oh god, what a dilemma I have here...

  2. Yes you are totally correct! It's nice to see that Lego was looking at relatively obscure EU starships for inspiration. I was just saying that because the build isn't stable and most reviews have been below average or mediocre.

Do you see Lego's inspiration for the Jedi Scout ship? ;)

Honestly I can't recall anything similar in the SW Universe... I think it is a new design exclusive for the yoda chronicles series, right? May be from some previous unused concept art, like the ghost?

  3. I don't think anyone preferred the old Jek-14 fighter, that was one of the worst starfighter designs ever made. The new one is a complete 180, looks solid and well designed. Has a great color scheme as noted and comes with an even better selection of minifigs, not just recolored clones.

Think again... actually I like more the old one. :)

Its based on the E-wing and I think its a cool design. I like the dark color scheme.

  4. Indeed thinner wheels look much better on small cars.

And unfortunately here in the final set the car has the same tyres as the truck:

Oh my gosh, they simply ruined this set for me :hmpf_bad:

Seems like I'll need to replace the wheels myself... I was thinking about bricklink a lot of those new wheels to replace the bulky ones on all my lego cars, anyway...

  5. I just noticed something. In the photo below, it highlights the wheel cut out on the trailer, and I'm wondering how does the car park on that without interfering with the trucks wheels? Is it something I'm not noticing, or is that a design flaw? :shrug_confused:

The car wheels will not sit over the trailer wheels when parked. Actually this is a very common design for some flat bed trailers:

  6. Anyone else think Lego needs to release a new wheel design? The balloon tires that came out around, what? 1992, ' 93? They look WAY too chunky on cars. They need something that is the same height but is much thinner in width, with a thinner tire allowing for a taller rim. Because at the moment you have cars and lorries with the same wheels, which just looks odd.

    Totally agree.

But hey, looks like we have a new wheel design in 60060. Or at least its new for me. Seems like its attached by a cross-axe or something like it.

But even before TLG already have these kind of wheel, just look at 4207 "City Garage" from 2012 and 7642 "Garage" from 2009:

What I didn't get though is why designers insist using the bulky wheels on small 4 studs cars....

  7. I do not post here very often, but I couldnt let it pass.

The MOC is great, but I dont think its funny smashing some legos in the ground. I mean, why damage bricks like that? Especially when there is a lot of people that would apreciate to have that legos you are destroying. Lego is not cheap ( and you would be shocked if you find how much they cost here). Please do not encourage people to do that :(

Anyway, its your bricks, you can do whatever you want whit them. Just my 2 cents.

    Best regards.
