    Ben 10 discussion thread

Thanks for all the extra pictures - now I can see how good (or bad) the sets look. I can't say I'll want these sets, BUT... it doesn't mean that kids won't, because they like action figures. You can't compare this theme to Bionicle to be honest. Bionicle is interchangeable and has new weapons every year to use in Bionicle MOCs - there are always at least two Bionicle of the same colour to combine - not much combinability here.

    Toy Story's Wild West Town

I said I might buy it if it's on clearance - I already have Fort Legoredo and the Gold Rush town buildings such as sheriff's, general store and bank. I also have the WW set with an abandoned gold mine, so I wouldn't really buy this just for the figs. The signs look a little goofy as well (of course) so they wouldn't match with the signs I already have on my buildings.

    VIP Program Release info

Really good insider info Copmike, thanks. If only I had better access to a Lego store (less than 4 hour car journey) I would definately use the scheme.

Star Wars TFU Ultimate Sith Edition

The good ending redemption certainly is more satisfying though -as not only do you save everyone else, but you leave Vader and the Emporer injured whilst letting the rebels escape. It feels so much better to do the good thing btw you guys may not want to know, but I already have the platinum trophy on PS3 for SW:TFU normal edition.

Disneyland Paris: Star Wars Park Video

Maybe you should be a Paris tour guide, with the English detail you're putting in. I bet it would be better than one of those tourist buses with about 20 languages previously recorded.

    Pirates of the Caribbean IV

That didn't stop TLG froms making Dinsey Cars sets I can't wait for this film though. I just saw the trilogy of previous films on DVD so I'm stoked for more rum-induced adventure
  7. Hardly, but it is very stupid that you can't have the advent calendar so I'll sign this.

    Atlantis 2010

Yeah, return of the Space massive visors. I'll definately be getting at least one of these sets for the diver. I might just buy Neptune's submarine, then see if I want anything else.

LEGO Star Wars 2010 Pictures and Rumors

The very small blurry pic of the ARC-170 on brickshelf gives us a good idea that it will look similar to the old one. One big bit of news is that there are 2 pilots, Kit Fisto (so I believe) and a complete atsromech.

Disneyland Paris: Star Wars Park Video

lol, I've never seen anyone do that at Disneyland before - notice that most are over 60 it would seem

    Most Hated!

Seconded - at least buzz droids look relatively like their movie counterparts. And so as not to be biased towards PT or OT: here are my worst PT and OT sets: PT: Sith Infiltrator (not very interesting design, only one minifig, barelly any useful pieces) OT: Twin Pod Cloud Car (A bit too andular for the sleek look in the movie, uninteresting fig unless a collector)

Disneyland Paris: Star Wars Park Video

Well I can see you know as well that the suffocation combined with shock is a pretty weird experience I think that's actually from the TV series called Dinotopia which I can't remember what channel it was on. The series was about some people getting wrecked on an island to find it inhabited by people AND dinosaurs. Man that dragon's breath is scorching. I almost felt burnt when that flame comes out. (I've been burnt quite badly before so I'm not a big fan of flames )

LEGO Star Wars 2010 Pictures and Rumors

Ah! Lego Freak is our saviour as far as pointing out 2010 pics is concerned. I agree with the general opinions aroused by these sets: Battlepacks: Perfect with just the right minifigs Freeco: Almost perfect with excellent design and Tal (if that is the singular of Talz), but no cold assault troopers. Tri-Fighter: Boring, didn't buy the first one, and I won't buy this one either unless it is cheaper than we all think. TIE Defender: I wonder how it stands up on its own

    Tusken Raider Battle Pack

I don't think there are as many pieces as may have been initially thought in the speeder.

    Imperial Boarding Team Battle Pack

As much as I would like to have 3 chrome troopers in a battlepack, this would probably cost

    Clone Tank Battle Pack

Very nice Dewback (I assume I can leave out the Green ), and a very original concept I don't think it would be very easy if you didn't have the set but putting 'Stubby' in there from Ahsoka's starfighter would make it far more wantable. Still, I know there's quite a shortage in red astromechs, so the pack is useful there, as well as in the tools for the cart.

    30006 Clone Walker Review

Does the phrase 'One Lego set per reader' mean anything to you? Still, it is a very good overall review for such as small set, and I got one too. There's some nice useful pieces in there - lightsaber hilt, lollypop, lots of 2x1 clipping pieces. It's a shame there was no pistol blaster in this set to arm the trooper when not on the walker.

    Tusken Raider Battle Pack

The inspiration is useful, because Tuskens have only been in 2-3 non-promotional sets ever (as far as I am aware). I don't own any Tusken minifigs myself, so I would certainly buy this pack if sold by TLG The speeder looks very applicable to the Tuskens, especially considering the details. The weapons selection is also great.

LEGO Star Wars 2010 Pictures and Rumors

I'm not missing Saturday's, Sunday's and Tuesday's Daily Mirrors. It's alright - I still know someone who'll get the promos for me!

Box Art - 6239 Cannon Battle

I've just gotta repost those pics because it looks as if the redcoats head has swollen to massive proportions. Nice clear pics, and usually I would have thought a white background is better but the wood actually suits the theme. I'll be doing a review of this set in the near future, but I probably won't need to cover all the sides of the box

Battle Pack Contest Rules & Discussion

Interesting contest KimT Hopefully I'll be able to make the time to make an entry - I know what's needed as far as the Lego universe is concerned (and, no, it's not the bleeding obvious OT )
  22. The Rancor

    Atlantis 2010

I still think the 3D glasses and key collecting ideas are kick- a$$! It would be a shame to HAVE to buy the prelim pic set for a special key though because it's not that great.

    Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Well the Ultimate SIth edition or whatever its called isn't out til November, so the trophs might not be updated til then.

    Review: Hyperspeed Pursuit 5973

Raphy was the first person to notify me of this. Another look at the score of the set and it seems quite odd, because more people voted 2/5 than 3/5, but the set got 36 votes for 100% excellent. I still haven't dismantled the set - it is on display in my bedroom with other additions from the SPIII line (which aren't as good)

    Eurobricks Reviewers Academy

I also need to thank the teachers (especially of Star Wars and Indy such as Svelte and def) not only for their teachings but providing great reviews which sometimes have persuaded me to buy a set even if I didn't seem it worthy. But its a thanks to everyone really (Svelte and def aren't the only ones who need a lot of credit )
