Thanks for the comments guys, glad you like the wear on the walls.
Welcome back master!
Ha! You have stepped into my void and ruled with an iron fist, truly a Nocturnian not to be messed with.

Just a sweet, well composed vignette well photographed. Great job.

A really nice build. Your transition on ground types is good but will improve with greater blending (and probably a much larger cost for parts ) the action posing is cool and helps draw people in. All in all a good build.

Really cool vignette, some nice techniques and cool figures lift this.

Cheers all, good to be back even if it's a little sporadic. Feels good to build a castle though! Maybe there will be a few more similar builds. I think as your collection grows you are tempted to build bigger all the time, but this scale is still great and is able to convey a lot of detail.

Hi to all my fellow guild members, time for some free build fun again. I recently had the privilege of picking up a cool remake of the classic 375 Castle at the 10th EB Event and it inspired me to have a crack at my own homage of it. Hope you like, C + C welcome.
Uktror
These Moruth Orcs have taken residence in the abandoned castle on the outskirts of the capital Abyssian. Moruth Orcs are always on the lookout for a nice juicy score, be it a poorly guarded delivery or some poor lost souls, these are characters you don't want to stumble upon.

Congratulations Bob, enjoy your new role as Supreme Overlord. I for one welcome you and can help in converting others to your rule!
Beautiful builds to boot! Good show.

Thanks for taking so e great pics of this set Fangy. My copy sits proudly on my build table at the moment. It was great how everyone sorted the parts to help make this a reality. Something I will really treasure.

Good description Z, I was planning on a small outpost build, but now I have the necessary back story, perhaps Lord Ssilyrrylith will be seen again......
-
Exceptional work Gabe, very impressive vessel along with the water and wake.
The alternate colour shields and sails help draw you in to the rest of the detailing.
Great job.

Looks like 98 pieces to me.
:P
Did you run out of fingers and toes
Just as well judging will be done after you leave.....maybe.....

Hey to all the Guildies, in particular my Nocturnus members. It has been too long since I have contributed in any way to Guilds, but this little vignette is a start and I must say it got the juices flowing. I think the bigger ones collection, the grander the plans and sometimes it's nice to build on a smaller scale. This is built for you guys as well as a 100 piece challenge for SydLUG.
Props of course to my man Ecclesiastes for the tree design, who I got to hang out with in Billund last week! Good times.

Well I guess you get what you pay for :P
I was one of the helpers on the 1x6 bricks. I know 2/3 of bags got the full 50, then we ran out. It seems on the second day when we got a resupply, every bag got 16 instead of 50 for the bags that had none. So you either get 66 or 16

That looks very faithful to the original mecha, the tan is a good substitute for olive. To my eyes it looks like it could use a ladder on the front of the trailer, probably black. The cab roof does look a bit too smooth and monochrome. Perhaps some dark bley plates would show the door seals a bit better. I would swap the front grill for dark bley grilles as well. Should help break up the colour. I would suggest a decal for the doors, but the original doesn't have anything on the doors.
Hope some of this is useful, it really is a great truck, and these are only minor suggestions.
Cheers mate.

I had a cool time meeting all the nice people, really enjoyed the activities and the chance to hang out.
Big thanks to Copmike and Bonaparte for there efforts and Jan and Kim for making the event the coolest yet!

Well it's been 9 months since I have built anything I felt deserved posting, but with our annual big show, Sydney Brick Show, next week I have been working on a large space collaboration with Taz-Maniac, Intrastella/Dr Rod and Bricktron. My part doesn't fit on my large table and had to be constructed in parts, some old stuff returning as well as new pieces. Hopefully I will snap some good pics at the show next weekend to post, but for now this is a little tidbit.
Pumpkonia
On the desolate plains of the planet Agreon, the
Pumpkonians have learn't how best to exploit the natural resources while turning a space buck or two. Commandeering bits and pieces from downed star ships and bartering with otherworldly conglomerates keen to mine the rich Ioth gas deposits for their jump gate technologies, the Pumpkonians have all they need for a simplistic life style.

The angles on the towers are great, they help break the shape up to give a nice perspective. The portcullis design is pretty nifty too. Great job.
