  1. I for one am looking forward to picking up some of these sets. The forest ambush is a perfect army builder plus you get a decent amount of treasure and extra pieces to help build up my collection. i will be getting at least six of them for sure.

Not to sure what people dislike about the figs but I think they look great! If I am not mistaken this is the first time LEGO has produced figs with brigandine armor printing  Plus the three different styles for the "good" faction are really cool and I love all the different possibilities they give you for creating unique units! However, I wish the torsos with the mail printing was just mail without the blue "vest". This would allow for different color arms to be attached and allow for even more factions.

  2. That polybag is amazing! I need to get at least 10, if not 20! Finally a rather cheap way of massing elf armies! I just hope it is at TRU's in Canada!

If not you can always join the 100's of Canadians who cross the broader to snap the great US prices. This has given me an even better excuse to duck across the border and do some serious Lego shopping.

@ Infernum I just tried to order some online and have them shipped to Canada and it wouldn't let me.

  3. That, and I assume the Eomer torso looks atrocious with a red chest and green arms? Like some sort of Christmas outfit I'd imagine, lol...

Actually I used some light grey arms on Eomer, as it matches the chain-mail under his tunic. The green arms would have been a Lego minifig fashion disaster lol

  4. I checked my figures and they seem to have the new print too. So I swapped out the Rohan Soldier's dark green arms for Eomer's dark grey arms and now the red sash looks really good. The Rohan Soldiers look a little more armored and the colour scheme of dark grey, dark brown, with a hint of dark red blends really well. Of course you lose the the Rohan dark green scheme  , but it gives you another variant for your army.

  5. I like how Lego uses different textures to make the door look old and battered. I'm wondering if Lego is going to start making brick-built doors from now on, or just a feature of LOTR sets. I'm kinda "meh" on the cave troll' face, but if the arms have better reach than the big trolls from the Castle line than I'll be ok with it.
