Discuss this exciting new set and see many more hi-res pictures in the Star Wars forum!

I don't think you have to have a certain amount of posts. It's more likely that you are not deeplinking them properly. Here's a tutorial that should help you out.

Member R5-N2 has posted this hilarious (and well-built) MOC called Darth Vader's Sail Barge.
See all of the funny details and many more pictures in the Star Wars forum!

hello I'm new to the forum, I wonder if the LEDs were allowed (even if they are not lego) Thank you.
Escusez me for spelling mistakes or possible because I'm French.http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/default_cry4.gif
I think that would be fine.

Do you want to post a picture here? Unless it's really terrible, I wouldn't worry about it.

In the Star Wars forum, member samiam391 has created a clever new idea for combinable Star Wars battle packs.
Discuss the idea and find the link to the CUUSOO page in the Star Wars forum!
-
Then reply to my post and say you agree with me. It's a much better and quicker option. Truth be told, I'm not that annoyed anyway.
He can post the ideas again if he wants to. You are not a staff member, and therefore should avoid telling others what to do, especially if it is something that is not bad in the first place.
-
Done!
My sig-fig is fighting Mia for the last croissant. Hey, Friends can fight sometimes too! (although they still at least have smiles on their faces)
-
I have deep linked the image for you.
If you don't know how to do this (in case you ever need to post a picture again), there is a link to a tutorial in my signature.

I'm just curious, what is considered a "good amount of time"? The past few days there seems to be quite a bit of activity, but i remember times where the front page didn't change for days on end. Personally i find it nice to see something new on the front page every day.
I was thinking, isn't it possible to divide the front page into two seperate columns? Then you can have one column that always features the latest announcements, news and reviews, and one column to feature a "MOC of the day". It's just an idea ofcourse, but if possible it would allow you to feature MOCs on the front page more often without it interfering with news and announcements.
Usually around a day or two for important news.
I'm not sure if the board software would allow for something like that; you'd have to ask an admin who should know about these things better than I do.
-
I have to disagree on that aspect as every MOCer tries to achieve a certain level of status with their works. Being blogged is one and on the FP is another. EB has a lot of MOCers in their specialized themes that other members may not realize they exist since like me, I spend 90% in LSW and the rest on the others. But when I see a pirate MOC featured on the FP, I'll likely spend a lot of time that day on the Pirate forums.
You're telling me that on slow days any MOC can wind up in the FP? That's not really fair, just my 2 cents. There has to be a consistent rule to only feature MOCs that are truly worth mentioning on FP, be it a slow day or not.
AC
I actually think that front-paging MOCs is indeed important. However, breaking set news, or other TLG related things will always come first as we have a duty to report them. Therefore, sometimes the timing doesn't work out if there is a great MOC at the same time as an important news item. I agree that it is best to only feature fantastic MOCs on the frontpage; as far as I am aware, this is what we usually do. Of course, we do not frontpage contest entries as that would create an unfair advantage.
As Brickdoctor said, there isn't always a surplus of great things to frontpage, and sometimes we simply overlook something. We're all human (at least as far as I know. ). We will try our best though, and now that you have raised this concern I will try to be even more aware of the situation.
Kim, there have been a few new blog posts since you posted.

I wonder what mini head would look like on normal Bobba?
I don't believe that the mini heads are removable, unless it's been changed since last year.
-
I've changed my mind, Rooney is appaulling. England could have won this by now.
They also could have easily lost it. It will be an interesting end for sure.
-
Viva España!!! It was a great match, one of the best in the tournament so far.
Really? I found it quite dull to be honest. Spain just kicked it around for 90 minutes; France was pretty powerless.
-
I'm sorry if this has already been answered, but I am brand new to EB, can I still enter the contest?
Yes.
-
YES!
Congratulations guys. I'm glad you represented us so well. The layout is spectacular, and certainly deserving of all awards it received. Thanks for posting pictures as well for those of us that couldn't be there.

Could I create a scene from a SW book/comic? I remember one funny part and would like to re-visualize it in plastic.
As long as it has an astromech droid in it, it's good to go.
-
One thing you might consider doing is adding a description to your MOC so that people know exactly what it is. It is often easier to appreciate a MOC when you know the story behind it.
-
Are you allowed to change your entry until the end date? I mean, change the whole project and re-name it? I know it says they are WIPs but I'm not sure whether you can redo the whole thing from scratch. Help appreciated!
Yes indeed. You are allowed to change up your entry up until the end date in August. However, if you want to completely rename the MOC, then you would have to PM me or another staff member, as only staff can change topic titles.
-
Nathaneael, as the tubes come in set lengths, cutting them is not allowed for this contest.
-
To be honest, I'm not certain, but I'm 99% sure that they're for staff who want a shiny lightsaber for a tag.
I think that's relatively accurate.
-
They're in almost every space battle, mounted in the fighters.
True, but somehow they don't feel like a "star character" somehow. Anyway, it doesn't matter, let's keep this discussion on the contest.
