General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
ghostmind replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
I think you may be interpreting this backwards. Cars and Dino are going to remain available at retail, but there will be no more sets released (so far). PotC, Alien Conquest and Harry Potter are going to be phased out at retail, starting in July, and go OOP. -
At the London Toy Fair today, the "LEGO Ninjago Dragon" (aka the Epic Dragon Battle) was named one of the 32 "Best New Toys" for 2012. Expecting more details later today...

The Fellowship look great! And seeing what a great job they have done with Gimli, I can't wait to see all the different dwarves from the Hobbit sets.
-
These are the ones, though you can also get Jay's hair from the "Mutt" minifig in the Indiana Jones sets. The "sleepyhead" minifig looks to be the best current match for Kai - thanks for the suggestion!

Since it is looking like the 2012 line won't include the ninjas with their hairpieces (as in the cartoon), I've started to figure out which ones I can get from other minifigs. I've got them all except Kai - apparently his hair does not exist yet. Does anyone have a good substitute they could recommend?

I'm all for more unique minifigs in the sets. With the 2011 sets, I ended up with 4 of original Jay. Keeping all the names straight for the 17 characters in the snake tribes will be fun though.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
ghostmind replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The early 2012 sets are up in the US store with a January 30th availability. -
Helm's Deep is just a little cheaper than the Millennium Falcon on that AUS site. Going by that, I would expect it to retail at $130 to $135USD.
-
My guesstimates, based on price comparisons with existing sets: 9447 Lasha's Bite Cycle $20USD 9448 Samurai Mech $50USD 9449 Ultra Sonic Raider $70USD 9450 Epic Dragon Battle $120USD
-
FYI... the Fangpyre Wrecking Ball and the MDP1 are now available in the LEGO store.

http://youtu.be/96a8K5Gg9gY All spinners this time, with some spoilers if you didn't get spoiled from the last reveals. Looks like there will be an "NRG" variant for the ninjas now.
-
It sounds like additional Ninjago (and Star Wars) sets are going to be revealed tomorrow.

Just imagine a 2012 LOTR/Hobbit Advent Calendar... oh my.

XmasToys is being coy about things (like the Green Ninja) because he doesn't know. In Canada a few weeks ago, they ran the first 5 episodes of the new season, but only on an SD channel (hence his 4x3 dubs). The dude is breaking each episode into halves, so potentially he can milk this for 10 "episodes".
