Something cool popped up on #legoleaks in the past hour or so

Yeah that Sanctum Sanctorum is like a dream come true for Lego Marvel fans, now let's hope we get an equivalent D2C set for HP theme (we know there is only one option :pir-tongue:)

  2. There is nothing wrong in expressing our hype and impatience for new leaks ... we have already discussed all possible options for these sets number of times here so naturally there is nothing else left to discus atm. I know it is maybe annoying for some people that are handling their excitement better, but we just can't help it.

is order of the phoenix even possible this year in the first place…?

Everything is possible. POA and GOF year is just an assumption based on last year, but we could get a wave based on multiple movies in no specific order to previous wave.

  4. Well I hope we won’t see many Hogwarts castle sets in this wave. I kinda got bored from them even though I accepted the new system and made it displayable with 2018-2020 sets. I want to see some interesting buildings with more natural and dynamic shapes rather than generic 8x8, 16x8, 24x8 blocks, which while it works for making interior based scenes, it is just cheap design imo... hence so many people now make their own MOC rooms with this system as it is quite primitive concept which is easily replicable.

but I had not even heard of them until I started reading this forum

Most of the leaks usually come from them and everyone else just shares what they come with. I am not saying there arent other great leakers, but it is just Promobricks is the biggest source of this info. They are super reliable as they have their set lists almost always 99% right. I dont think they have some deal with Lego, but maybe it is because they are Europe based so their sources have direct connection to Lego.

It's only ironic if you consider LEGO to have one overarching standard that applies to all themes in the same way, which I think is clearly not the case.

Except even within the HP theme they made literally the darkest scene of the series which is the Rise of Voldemort set.... so that is why I think we shouldn't defend what designers said, because they just have double standards on what is too dark for kids and what is not.

If it is a Gringotts, how do we reckon they’ll reach the price? Including a massive interior? Or adding extra buildings like Borgin and Burkes

Adding more buildings obviously is only option here... if it was just Gringotts it would be very oversized and not in scale with Diagon Alley D2C.

I’d say the ministry is just as iconic as diagon alley, features just a prominently.

Screen time doesn’t equal to iconicity. Diagon Alley is more iconic, because it was featured in first 2 movies (technically even 3 as Leaky Cauldron from POA is a part of DA) while Ministry of Magic was introduced in 5th movie. That means that in fan’s minds Diagon Alley will always be more iconic than MoM, because the Wizarding World was basically introduced to them through DA. Then there is also the fact that DA is more positive place with that warm magical atmosphere which designers talked about when asked about why they are not doing sets based on DH movies. MoM on the other hand while also kinda iconic is connected with dark and quite traumatic moments in Harry’s life, so as I said it would be better as small playset rather than big flagship D2C set.

  9. Ministry of Magic would only work as smaller 50 euro set based on specific scene... which can still happen in this wave. Either way today is the perfect time for HP leak. Yesterday we had Transformers, day before Jurassic World, like there is rly nothing other left so please Promobricks end our suffering :D

Hopefully Harry potter summer reveal being last might be a good sign that there are some good sets in there.

I've just finished all my additions to the Hogwarts 2018/2020 style. There was still a lot of potential left in that version of Hogwarts. Still don't understand why they wouldn't finish it. Well anyway here's my version.

Yeah this is what we should have gotten before reboot…. Great job man.

I love the look of the new Hospital Wing, it shows that the 20th Anniversary style of Hogwarts sets can have good interior and exterior details. This Clock tower set isn't as good as the 2019 one, but it shows that the 2022 Hogwarts sets have some potential to be really good.

Well the first floor has some details and I kinda like the white windows but the Clock Tower itself is still quite ugly and very inaccurate. I know that many of you don't care about accuracy at all but for me it is quite a big deal. I understand why they named it the Hospital Wing and not the Clock Tower, because the set just doesn't look like the actuall building... even if you add one more floor like some people suggested. That being said I don't wanna sound like some whiny boomer here, because I still find something to be happy about on these sets, even if it's just minifigures. I just wish they would put more care into displayability and movie accuracy with this new castle system.

  12. Yeah but there is no chance for entire wave of FB sets imo... one maybe two sets, but that's it

Also I hope we get an updated Shrieking Shack with a new grim piece and a werewolf Lupin. I'm mixed on the idea of Lego continuing to use the 2021 20th Anniversary style Hogwarts system in 2022.

I hope we get minimum of Hogwarts sets and more non Hogwarts locations (everything except the castle). Shieking Shack is my absolute most wanted set as I love that scene, and POA is my favourite HP movie.
