Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion

I think that looks fantastic. Really does look like John Hurts appearance. I doubt we'll see Florean Fortescues Ice Cream Parlor, Eylops Owl Emporium, the Apothecary or Madam Malins but only because they weren't featured in the films. Despite my best hopes, Lego doesn't really like making non film scene sets. There is the chance for Quality Quidditch supplies, as I think I'm right in saying it was in the Diagon Alley micro scale set. Flourish and Blotts could be done, though judging by the modular library sets I'm not sure how many actual book pieces we'd get, probably just a load of unprinted tiles. I'm unsure whether Lego would make the Leaky Cauldron, as it is does have the pub element to it. But it would be nice to see the brick wall that leads into Diagon Alley. I can't remember if Borgin and Burkes is confirmed, but it would be great to see it again. Especially if they include the vanishing cabinet like they have previously. For Weasley Wizarding Wheezes, I hope it has plenty of prints or stickers and little references. (love potions, edible dark marks, Peruvian instant darkness powder etc) For Olivanders, I hope there's a way to store extra wands, as I have quite a number of the CMF series figures I've ended up with plenty of spare wands. Gringotts is the most obvious inclusion, I would like the Ukrainian Iron Belly to be able to fit on top of the roof. Or at least be able to remove the heard and place it in an empty panel on the roof, to give it the effect of breaking out. -

I hope that in the future (maybe for another Advent calender) we see the new owl mold in all gold for Dumbledore's Owl Lecturn. -

For the new cmf series, does anyone else hope that on the stands they print HP, like how they printed the Batman lego for that 2nd series? -

The YouTuber Ashnflash recently uploaded a video on some new pipe pieces from Lego Friends. I think if they were in a transparent brown colour, they'd work well for the pipes at the entrance for the Chamber of Secrets, where Harry, Ron and Lockhart go down them in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. -

Anyone else think that the CMF series 15 Faun would work really well with the new centaur piece?Especially as the faun was based off of Mr Tumnus from the Chronicles of Narnia, which also contains Centaurs which are slightly similar in looks (eg long horizontal ears). -

I think I would've preferred a black hair piece, as it reminds me a little too much of Cedric Diggory atm. Would've been nice to see the old school Slytherin emblem or Prefect Badge, would've made it look more teenager rather than adult businessman style. But glad they have the iconic cheekbones that the CoS actor had. And a wand in black (even though we mostly see him using Harry's wand at the end, yes I know in the diary flashback he uses his own). Shame the recast made him look more childish (gutted they were going for a creepy horror film kid type) -

I was just thinking that how Voldemort's flying or the weird version of Apparition in Order of the Phoenix would work with those ghost legs. -

I like those ideas. I like McGonagall's outdoor hat from the first two films, adds to her Scottishness. -

I think it'd be more likely to see the Three Broomsticks rather than the Hog's Head just in terms of what's more visited in the films. -

I think the Flitwick figure, whilst being the redesign from Prisoner of Azkaban, I think his outfit was meant to be reminiscent of the Yule Ball from Goblet of Fire. I'm the films the only places in Hogsmeade we see are: The Three Broomsticks (Lego might not want to make a bold associated with alcohol), the Shrieking Shack (not very festive) and Honeydukes which might be the best guess. In the bonus features for PoA, there's a couple of interactive scenes where you can move about Honeydukes (and Lupin's classroom/office) which displays a lot of the sweetshop. I'd really like to get some printed designs of stuff like: Chocolate Frogs, Fizzing Whizbees, Pepper Imps etc. -

Oh yeah. Would be good for maybe someone like Fred or George if they appear in a cmf. -

The Thestral is a lovely piece, and I guess we could see it in a set for OotP or the 7 Harry's scene. Grawp could be decent, but I personally wouldn't be too exited for. I highly doubt Lego would make the Inferi as they are literally reanimated corpses. So yeah, bit grizzly for Lego's taste. It would be great to see Centaurs, the main downside is they probably wouldn't have movable legs if they did make them. I feel like Lego might not, as we don't see much of the Centaurs in the films. -

That would be really nice as despite how nicely printed the current owls are, they do look rather stationary. It's been so long though, so idk if Lego would bother making a new owl mould. Hope that if they do another burrow set, we can get a grey owl representing Errol. -

Why would they change that when the cmf one's fine. Is this confirmed? -

Well, from what I've found Ron gets a maroon jumper every year (at least one without an initial) and Harry gets a handmade sweater with this design on: Philosopher's Stone: A Golden snitch (the film changed it to the letter H) Chamber of Secrets: Unspecified. Prisoner of Azkaban: Gryffindor lion. Goblet of Fire: Hungarian Horntail. Order of the Phoenix: Unspecified. Half-blood Prince: Another Golden Snitch design. Personally I'd like to get the Fred and George in their Christmas jumpers (or Gred and Forge). But if it's PS then they'd only be in third year (might need mid legs). -

I'm not sure if that piece would work. Hermione's hair isn't really very braided like that. -

Oh yeah that was a fab piece. I love getting just little details like that and the printed house logos for the architects plinth (as there wasn't really a way to have the four animals around it) -

Really good, some nice minifigures (with a cheaper way to get Dumbledore and McGonagall). Loved most of it, like the micro Hogwarts Express and the chess set. Even the weaker items like the flags or little trees look good when it's all put together. I think it made a strong set as (particularly PS and CS) the series has many chapters on Christmas. I hope they can do another HP calendar next year maybe more characters from the yule ball, or Christmas at the Burrow, or even Slughorns Christmas party. -

Um, we already got a Chamber of Secrets Castle section. The one with the flying Ford Anglia and the Whomping Willow is based off it. I doubt they're going to make another set of the chamber itself. Especially as the latest castle section we got is the clock tower, which whilst it appears in PoA it's themed around GoF. -

The HP Bricktober pack (the one with Hooch, Slughorn, Umbridge and Boggart Snape) is currently on Amazon UK for £20. Does anyone think it's worth it? As I think we'll get Umbridge and Slughorn in later sets anyway, and I don't care much for the Hooch minifigs, so £20 feels a bit much. -

I think it'd be a bit intricate. By the size of the brick built cage for Hedwig in a poly bag (this year I think), it'd be hard to get the sizing right. I think it'd have to be like a stud taller than the normal dome piece (the one often used for glass cases). -

It's a shame that the film didn't include the part at the end of PoA when Harry gets permission to go to Hogsmeade and gives the delivery owl to Ron. If they did we might've got Pigwideon in a set. Maybe even a small owl mold. -

Here's the set that has that new owl print, which might be nice for HP mocs. Who knows, it could turn up in the HP cmf series 2. Jinx. I'm guessing you just watched just2good's video? -

The layout is just like the Golden Snitch instructions to me, so I'm guessing it's a promotional build. Just hope for once this crops up in the UK as so many promotional Lego (also Bricktober sets) only appear in America. -

The absolute derpiness on that trolls face is hilarious. Doubt we're getting any scenes off of PS though. I really hope that the Goblins do get a new mold(s) and this is just a little art piece. Btw, did anyone notice a few rows behind Harry and Hagrid there's a witch with a hair hat combo. I can't tell if this is a recolour of the wacky witches from the monsters cmf series, but it looks nice in green.
