  1. I personally feel that there's enough loose ends left to justify a fourth wave.  Not a large wave, but a wave with about three small-to-medium sized sets like the final wave of TLM.  It will seriously bug me if the Justice League Party lineup isn't finished at least, considering it's now only two minifigures and a monkey away from being completed.

  2. Hmm, the movie still on the back of the Justice League Anniversary Party is cropped so that everyone to the the left of Flash/El Dorado/Hawkgirl and everyone to the right of Martian Manhunter can't be seen.  Including Samurai and Classic Cyborg. :sceptic:  That might not mean anything, but it still makes me feel a bit uneasy.  At least Gleek seems to be present, though that might not mean anything either.

  3. I actually would have been totally fine with snakeclowns being included in a set.  Oh well...

A picture of the CMF box just showed up on a certain photo sharing site. Not a whole lot new, but we get to see Canary's awesome screaming face along with Zod's laser eyes.

Double sided face printing for Canary and Zod is a nice surprise.  Hopefully some of the other minifigures in the CMF series also have alternate face printing.

As far as I know TLG plans a summerwave including brickbuilt snakeclowns, since they are very big in the concept art. But if you want to make a minifigverion, you could use the CMF clown torso, together with a Ninjago sneak headpiece.

On a different note: I visited my first Legostore & found the TLBM battle pack - amazing figures, shame many won't have the opportunity to get one.  3 exclusive faceprints, 2 armprints, dual molded navy blue legs!

A 4th wave? Hooray!  If that's true, I hope the Justice League/Super Friends party lineup is completed.

  5. I haven't watched much of either of the Powerpuff Girls series, but it's nice to see that LEGO is willing to expand on some of the licenses they used in Dimensions.  I also hope they make a couple sets for Adventure Time, with all the potential for sets and minifigures that the series has which Dimensions barely scratched the surface of.

    70923 - 643.

Huh, the Dune Buggy has more parts than I was expecting.  $20 actually isn't too bad if it has 198 pieces.  The Party set isn't too bad, considering the minifigure selection.  The Harley Quinn truck probably could've used a $40-45 price tag instead of $50.  The Egghead Mech and Space Shuttle both seem to have great piece counts for the price (considering some of the more costly parts included in the Space Shuttle).

According to this TLBM-2 CMFs will have display plates with Batman logo instead of usual black ones.

That's...very interesting actually.  Those could be useful to have.

Thank you! The Dune Buggy and Party set are overpriced, they should be $15 and $20 imo. The Space Shuttle has a really good price though!

I agree with this statement.  The Dune Buggy and Party sets seem a bit small for those prices.  The Party I could have seen being 25$ due to the selection of minifigures, but I was hoping for another 15$ set for the series so the Dune Buggy being $20 for that size and selection of minifigures is a bit disappointing.  The Egghead Mech and Harley Quinn truck prices are about what I expected.  Definitely glad the Bat-Space Shuttle isn't $100+, at least!

I wonder what the piece counts for the sets are.  I'll likely end up buying them all anyways, so...

At this point I'm thinking there might be a summer wave next year

I mean, they release Batman sets every 6 months anyway, so why not just reuse these character desings?

They can produce sets no based on any scene of the movie, but with the movie desings and background. Like Penguin atacking the Batcave in wave 1 or Cannonball Harley in wave 3

New box art, more bat costumes and vehicles not released, villain variants, back ground scenes GCPD, Arkham extenstion, Bat cave ext, endless options!!

Yeah, the new box art combined with the so-close-to-being-complete Justice League party lineup and the number of interesting vehicles and character variants that haven't been made yet are leaving me unconvinced that this is the end.  A fourth wave similar in size to The Lego Movie's final wave would be a great way to fill these remaining gaps, and would have great potential.  It would be a nice way to bring closure to the TLBM line before The Lego Movie Sequel comes out in 2019.  But I suppose we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I think a good idea could have been a LEGO Batman advent calendar. They could have put in a couple of batsuits as well as the vacation variants because they pretty much have to put in the main figures. Then the remaining spots in the minifigure series could have been filled with samurai, cyborg and some more batsuits. The builds would have been just smaller versions of the vehicles from the waves like the lowrider and such. Then day 24 would be Santa batman. It’s a missed opportunity in my opinion

That does seem like it would have been a great way to get more minifigures and some fun mini-builds.  It could have had such potential. :sceptic:

Arctic Batman was a figure I was really expecting to be in CMF wave 2. Mostly because there's been skiers in some of the previous CMF series.

Thanks. I'm not finished with it yet, but when it's done I do plan on posting some kind of instructions.

I'm surprised with no Arctic Batman in CMF 2 myself.  Here's hoping that there's a polybag or Batman Bricktober pack next year to fill that gap in the collection.  As for the instructions, I'll be looking forward to that :classic:

3 years ago.. who would have ever thought that we'll get a Bat-Spaceshuttle & a bat Kanu?

Not me, but I'm so glad now that such a set will be reality.

    - The set could also be modified into a Bat-nuclear bomb!

  11. Wow! The sets look even better now that they can be seen more clearly.  The stand-outs for me are the Bat-Space Shuttle, which is a great add-on to the Batcave set with a great selection of vehicles and Batsuits, as well as the Egghead Mech, which is a great looking build with equally great villains included.  Still a little disappointed about the Condiment King's stud shooters, but he actually looks pretty nice fully armed despite that.

The other sets also all have their strong points.  The Bat-Dune Buggy looks like a neat addition to the other vehicles and has Captain Boomerang, the Justice League Party doesn't seem to have as impressive of a build as the other sets in the wave, but has great minifigures (and are those Bat-Records on the DJ table? ) The Harley Quinn Cannon Truck would look great next to the Joker's Notorious Lowrider and the small buildings would go well with the one included in the Catwoman Catcycle Chase set.  Crazy Quilt looks great, Gentleman Ghost even moreso.  Ghost is film accurate and has a white Penguin hat, and not the one with hair shown in the preliminary pictures (don't know what that was about).  Cannonball Harley feels a bit unneeded considering it wasn't in the movie as far as I can tell, but it still looks nice.  The Phantom Zone Projector is also a neat bonus.

Though I'm still hoping for one more wave next summer to tie up the remaining loose ends, if this turns out to be the end of the TLBM theme, it would be going out with a bang.

  12. These are the Batsuits that have currently been (or soon will be) released:

In Wave 1: Current, Bat-Pack, Scu-Bat, Raging Bat

In Wave 3: Friends are Family Suit, Nightwing Suit, 1966 Suit, Reggae Man, Fire Starter, Space Bat

In CMF 1: Lobster Lovin' Batman, Glam Bat, Fairy Suit, Cave Bat, Vacation Batman

In CMF 2: Merbat, Lifeguard Batman

In polybags/books: Tartan, Tiger Tuxedo, Disco, Tears of a Bat, Kiss Kiss Tuxedo (as a keychain)

    In Lego Dimensions: Excalibur

In Bricktober 2017 set: Dollar Bill Tuxedo, Easter Bat, Wizbat, Baturion

In previous DC Super Heroes sets: Classic, Pirate, Desert Bat, Comic-Con Exclusive, Arctic/White Bat, Electric Bat, New 52

    That should leave:

El Murcielago, Batriot, St. Batricks, Krampus/Santa Bat, Bat-Hurst 1000, SWAT Bat, Arctic (with skis), Prom Date, Gotham by Gaslight, Batman Beyond, Night Terror, Death Merchant, Clawed Reign, Winged Avenger, Winged Armageddon, and Silent but Deadly.

Plus more tuxedos than I could count.

So that's 34 out of at least 50 suits, which isn't bad, actually.  Prom Date, Winged Avenger, Winged Armageddon, and Death Merchant can also be replicated (or extremely close to it) out of preexisting parts, and Krampus/Santa, SWAT, Night Terror, and Silent but Deadly can be somewhat approximated, though official releases would be very welcome.

Am I the only one suprised they didn't release the Barbara Giordon minifigure with the purple gown??

I was sure it would be included in the CMF 2 series.  Maybe it could be included in a Wayne Limo set or something?  I think Limo Driver Alfred is the only Alfred variation left to make that I could recall, as well.  Pilot Joker with a "classic" bomb accessory would be nice, too.

    4 hours ago, Nexogeek said:

They almost need to release an accessory set like set 853651 with the rest of the Justice League and Gleek, or a few different ones that are just bat suits

Yeah, the three minifigures could be Samurai, 80's Cyborg, and one more (maybe Green Lantern with a new face print) and Gleek as an accessory.

Regarding the Bat Chopper, I imagine it didn't make it into the wave because there's already a Batman helicopter on the shelves at the moment in the Scarecrow set and they didn't want to cause confusion with parents and such.

At least in my area, the Harvest of Fear set has been put on clearance at the stores I've been to, and there's barely any left on shelves, so I don't get the impression that set will be sticking around much longer.  Plus, Lego was willing to include new versions of Scarecrow and Killer Moth in the TLBM line that look similar to the previous ones from Harvest of Fear, so perhaps that could extend to the Bat-Chopper.

    Not gonna happen...

In that case, they would probably have to reuse a villain as I think all the Bat-Vehicle sets included at least one villain.  The Bat-Chopper probably wouldn't be a big enough set to include extra Batsuits, unless they included a Batcave expansion such as the one in the Bat-Space Shuttle, but that seems very unlikely.  Hmm...

  15. 1 hour ago, Borex said:

Maybe you can just make them with lego? I mean that’s why it’s lego of course :-)

Why not release cool Bat-Copter and earned few backs? It's lego!

I would appreciate it if Lego could at least release instructions for the vehicles they won't release as sets.  An official Bat-Chopper release would be nice if it included Phantom Zone villains (generic Gremlin, Agent Smith, Dalek) or more Batsuits.

At least the Bat-Space Shuttle is being made.  I wasn't expecting for it to be made, considering it wasn't included with the other physical models shown in the Making of the Movie book, so learning that it would be included in wave 3 was a nice surprise.

I'm kind of getting the vibe that lack of Samurai in what we've seen means he'll be the Saturn Girl of the Super Friends characters.

Dear gosh, I hope not!  I want to believe that the entirety of the movie's DC villain lineup being made is a good sign for the Justice League Party lineup being finished in the near future.

  17. Just now, Lionbear8 said:

I agree, so much more potential, like yourself, I too, have collected all the sets. I have counted at least 25 bat vehicles to go with your 16 bat suits that still have not been released.

It's unfortunate that there's so many great Batman vehicles from the movie that will likely go unmade.  I'm still optimistic that the Bat-Chopper from the Making of the Movie book will be made, at the very least.

I'm not collectioner, i'm buying that i'm like based on my expirience with DC. Merbat  just too 'over the top'. I know collectioners will be pleased wth rare funny Batman or custom makers, but this version not for me.

...And biggest mistery still where is Samurai.

It seems like Lego is going for a mix between wacky/vacation outfits and new Batman villains and Justice League/Super Friends members.

As for Samurai?  That's why I'm hoping for a fourth wave of sets to wrap things up.
