  1. The sets all look great!  The quality of the builds look well above average and look accurate to what was shown in the trailer.  I question if $70 for the Sweet Mayhem's ship is accurate though.  That seems like a somewhat high price considering the build size and small selection of minifigures.  It still looks like an excellent set either way.  I can't wait to see what else is in store for this theme!

  2. My local Target finally got the new sets in stock, so I just bought the Aragog's Lair set, and it is definitely fun to play around with.  The Aragog build is great, the tree build is decent, Harry and Ron look very accurate, and getting 5 spiders in such a small set is a very nice surprise.  The only other thing I wish LEGO would've included in this set is Fang, but otherwise I'm very satisfied with this as my first Harry Potter set in 7 years.   I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more Harry Potter sets released at this price point if they do more waves.

Have you tried Target.com to see if your store has them in stock? The website stated my store had four even if though they weren't on the floor. Hope this helps! :(

Hmm, Target.com does list them as being in stock at that location.  I'll have to check next time I go out there.

Well Jang got the Whomping Willow at least. His review is up!

Well, looks like I have a review to watch!  :classic:

Did you not ask if they were out the back??

I did ask, but the employee I approached claimed there was none available.  This wouldn't be the first time this particular Target suffered a delay in stocking new LEGO sets, though I was hoping there wouldn't be an issue this time.

  6. Assuming that the sets follow the pattern of the previous three movie lines, I'm predicting that there will be between 18-23 sets released across three waves, a D2C set, and a CMF series.  I would be surprised if LEGO deviated from that pattern significantly at this point.  It definitely looks like there will be a nice variety of characters and vehicles to include in sets and a CMF series just based off the teaser trailer alone.

Interestingly, I also just noticed that the two "cyborgs" that appeared in the trailer are recolors of TLBM Mr. Freeze's Mech with different weapons and pilots.

  8. Batwoman, OMAC, Ace, and the Talons will all be nice minifigures to have.

Grundy would be an excellent and long overdue choice to include in a set.  I just hope that LEGO would make him a bigfig.  Copperhead would also be a great choice, though I wonder which version would be most likely for LEGO to make.

    So tell us about it.

I thought it was great!  It took a lot of liberties from the original story, but I think it worked out quite well.  I'm not sure the original story would have translated easily into a movie, so the changes were understandable to me.  Of course, now I wish that LEGO would have made a few sets for it

Can we all agree that the 3 waves is more than enough and that lego has done a fantastic job with the vast majority of the line and a 4th wave would honestly be a little redundant.

I do feel that LEGO did a great job with this line, and many of the important scenes from the movie were represented quite well in the sets.  I don't personally believe that there was a single bad set in the theme, though some of them could have used a slightly lower price tag.  If LEGO had decided to do more sets, I likely would have bought them if the quality stayed consistent, but I can see why they didn't.  My only real regrets were that the Justice League lineup wasn't completed, and that the appearance of the Bat-Chopper in the book ultimately didn't amount to anything.  At least I still have the Harley Quinn Cannonball Attack and the Bat-Space Shuttle left to get before I'm done collecting sets from this theme (As I am currently lacking both the funds and the extra space for Arkham Asylum and Joker Manor).
