NO WAY is the Bugle coming with 25 minifigures. Where are they all supposed to go? Unlike the Star Wars sets which had a similar amount of figures (Death Star, Cloud City, Cantina, etc.), a lot of the rumoured figures for the Bugle don’t make sense to be inside the building itself. Like are Blade and Punisher supposed to work in office cubicles?

I'm assuming there should be a decent amount of space on the rooftop.  In addition, the description specifically mentions a huge fire escape with small balconies.  Also, the fact that a newsstand is included makes me think there might be some amount of area to stand figures outside the building.

Where is 25 figures coming from? Whos the source?

I've only seen it mentioned by Briqfoundation, who claims the information's from "a reliable source".  I'd take that info with a grain of salt, because 25 minifigures seems like an unusually generous number for LEGO to include.

  3. It would be great if they included Stan Lee as a taxi driver, but they'll probably just have the taxi be driverless.

The claims of the Bugle having 20-25 minifigures would be amazing if they're true, but I'm going to wait until we hear more from reliable sources before setting my expectations too high.

With Doc Ock and Carnage confirmed, that's now six villains accounted for, and likely our Sinister Six lineup for the set.

I would have preferred a civilian Gwen Stacy over another Spider-Gwen, but maybe we can still have both if we're lucky.

  4. Groot looks way better than the Infinity War version, with leg printing and a more accurate dark tan coloring.  Now I can only hope they redo the adult Groot and both baby Groot variants in dark tan to maintain consistency.  Quill looks great, probably my second favorite in the set behind Groot.  No sign of a helmet, which is unfortunate.

What's the current rumoured minifig list for The Daily Bugle??
Looking forward to Spider-Woman (if that's confirmed)

    1. Spider-Man

    2. Daredevil

    3. Punisher

    4. Spider-Woman

    5. Blade

    6. Peter Parker

    7. J. Jonah Jameson

    8. Betty Brant

    9. Venom

    10. Green Goblin

    11. Black Cat

    12. Mysterio

Plus at least two other unknown villains to form the Sinister Six, as well as potentially more heroes/civilians.

Fulcrum teased the Bugle set itself in the same way earlier (showing the bugle logo flag and deleting it). May just be a callback to that.

If that's the case, then that should make 12 out of 14+ minifigures from the lineup accounted for:

    1. Spider-Man

    2. Daredevil

    3. Punisher

    4. Spider-Woman

    5. Blade

    6. Black Cat

    7. Venom

    8. Mysterio

    9. Green Goblin

    10. Peter Parker

    11. J. Jonah Jameson

    12. Betty Brant

There should be at least two more villains to form the Sinister Six. I really hope LEGO doesn't skip out on including Robbie Robertson here, considering it wouldn't make sense for him to appear elsewhere.

For the Bugle, I'm still a bit curious if no new villain's also applies to no new versions of villains that have already been made before.

I'm currently going to assume that Venom will be exactly as he's been the past couple years, Mysterio is probably going to be a repeat of the Monster Truck set version (Though I'd like to see more arm/leg detailing), and Green Goblin is presumably going to be a repeat of the Spider-Lair version (Again, arm printing or dual molded legs would be an appreciated upgrade).

Yeah, you're both right. After doing a little research, she has been a member of the Sinister Six before, too, so I guess it's not an outrageous idea. With the many Spider-Man villains we've received in sets over the years it won't be hard to make our own Sinister Six for the DB. The only Spider-Man villain we're really missing is Electro in his classic costume. Really hope we get a minifigure someday.

If Electro does show up in the next movie in a prominent role, I could see LEGO making a comic minifigure at some point (probably a year or two later) after the movie version, like what they did with Mysterio.  They also made a new Vulture variant for the comic sets after his appearance in Homecoming.  On the other hand, secondary villains such as Shocker, Molten Man, and Hydro Man have not received comic minifigures yet.

In general, the comic Spider-Man line is in dire need of a better villain selection.  I would be disappointed if the next wave of sets continues to reuse the same villains we keep getting without any new inclusions.  I hope that the new bigfig design we're getting with Thanos this year is used for Kingpin and comic Rhino later on, because it would be quite the missed opportunity to not get either of them.

I hope we get three other villains to form a Sinister Six. I'd say Black Cat's more of an ally to Spidey than a nemesis, but Lego's probably not taking that into account.

I'm pretty sure Falconfan described Black Cat as being "the only new villain" in the set, which suggests that she's not being treated as an ally by LEGO.

Has there been any more info on the remaining 3 mystery figures for the Bugle set?

Nothing new yet.  Because we have four villains confirmed (Venom, Black Cat, Mysterio and Green Goblin), there logically should be two more villains to form the Sinister Six that has been hinted at, neither of which being new villains and going by the art series that Falconfan was using to confirm villain inclusions and absences, could be among Doc Ock, Vulture, Scorpion, Kraven or Sandman.  I'm also predicting/hoping that Robbie Robertson is the third mystery figure, as it wouldn't really make sense to leave him out of a Daily Bugle set at this price point.  I do hope there's more than 14 minifigures though, as some additional new heroes would be great.

  11. A solid lineup of characters for the Chocolate frog cards overall.

    Random observations:

I'm pleasantly surprised that the main trio did not get included in the card lineup.

I don't think there are any canon sources stating that Maxime, Picquery, Flamel, and Snape got their own Chocolate Frog cards, but they make sense as inclusions.

I'm still convinced that there are two Dumbledores and no Merlin included.  Looking at the hats and beards, they are a solid match for the Gambon Dumbledore from CMF Series 1 (gold and purple frame card) and Harris Dumbledore from CMF Series 2 (silver frame card), with neither card's hat and beard combination matching up with the Universal card's depiction of Merlin.

Rather peculiar that Maxime got a card but Karkaroff did not.

Newt's card looks like it portrays him with the Series 20 Brick Costume Guy haripiece instead of his typical hairpiece.  It might just be an artist interpretation that doesn't mean anything, though I would like it if they used that hairpiece for him in future sets.

I still hope we get a minifigure of Nicolas Flamel next year.

For that matter, I also hope we get that variant of Picquery as a minifigure at some point.  The COG design we did get was a less interesting design with considerably less screen time.

  12. I think logically, a camo Tumbler or the Bat would be make more sense for a Dark Knight Rises minifigure selection, considering the black Tumbler didn't really feature in that movie.  I'd like it if one of the Tumblers had minifigures from Batman Begins (ideally Batman, Ra's al Ghul, and Scarecrow), and the other from The Dark Knight (Batman, Two-Face, and Joker (possibly the green vest or nurse outfit if they wanted to set it apart from the 2014 version)).

  13. It will definitely be interesting to see how LEGO handles next year's sets with how much MCU content is coming out.  Between sets for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Magic, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and The Marvels, plus a potential spoiler wave for Spider-Man: No Way Home, a likely continuation of the Infinity Saga sets, and almost certainly more Disney+ sets, 2022 is shaping up to be a very expensive year.
