  1. Maybe there aren't Ultron Sentries in the set? If that's the case, 76287 might only have the Iron Legion, or maybe it's a Iron Legion vs. HYDRA set, with repeats of the 2021 HYDRA trooper, considering that both were present in the opening of Age of Ultron, even if they didn't directly fight, and would make slightly more sense than a Iron Legion vs. Ultron Sentry set would.

  2. I'm still hoping that we get the Black Lake variants of Fleur and Gabrielle instead of repeats of the versions from the last Carriage set.  I'm not sure where else we could get the Black Lake variants otherwise (at least while the Black Lake set is still available), and I'd be pretty annoyed if we only ended up getting three out of the four champions from that scene.

  3. Current thoughts:

    • Bat-Mech: Pass, assuming the minifigure isn't anything special
    • 4+ Batcave: At most, I'd be interested in the minifigures, assuming they are BTAS versions
    • Bat-Pod: Pass
    • Batmobile: I'll probably pick it up at some point, but I'll be waiting for a sale.

I won't entirely rule out the mystery D2C being something like Arkham, considering the piece count isn't that far off from the 2013 and 2017 Arkham sets, but otherwise, this wave isn't as interesting as I was hoping it to be.  Plus I'm annoyed at the lack of the Phantasm, the minifigure from the original Skyline set leak that I had been most excited for.

Do we know which one is the 8-in-1 buildable character? Judging from the current sets in that age range at that piece count, my guess would be that.

ETA: Almost identical piece count, and precisely identical price, to the HP two-in-one Patronus.

The 8-in-1 set is set 40748 with 325 pieces, with an apparently unknown price, so definitely not the $70 set (76273)

I wonder if LEGO will ever make sets based on the Arkham games. We have gotten sets for Batman ‘66, Keaton, BtAS, Nolan, Batfleck, and Battinson, and aside from a few more Nolan sets (Batpod (though we may get that this year), camo Tumbler remake, Bat remake), LEGO is running out of well-known film/TV Batman content (they could make sets for the Schumacher films, but I am not sure how popular they would be!).
Most of the Arkham games are rated T (with Knight being rated M), so that could be an issue, but there are a wide enough range of villains, Batsuits, and Bat-vehicles that LEGO could easily get a few solid waves out of the franchise.

I wouldn't rule out LEGO finding ways to incorporate stuff from the Arkham games. I mean, an Arkham Knight version of Batman did somehow manage to sneak into the 2018 wave...

I can't help but be very excited for a rumored $70 and $60 set. We haven't really gotten those price points in recent years. With the Batmobile and Batwing still being on shelves I hope we see some new material for the $40 set as well. I can't help but be a bit pessimistic as well, seeing as the company has been notorious for not exploring new concepts for sets, not exploring new characters, heck not even trying new variants of the few characters they juggle. Still, there is hope maybe they have taken in some of the feedback? Who knows.

I personally want to see a new big fig Bane. TLBM version of Bane is not quite comic accurate since it has the Nolanverse coat. So I'd like to see a figure for the comic fans like me where that ugly coat is not present lol. Poison ivy gets drawn a million different ways these days definitely wouldn't hurt to see which of those many source images the company would choose to pull from. Never got Harleys Hyenas which would be a convenient mould to bleed into City Safari sets... so while they may not use ALL of this themes unused potential, we have 3 decent sized sets coming that may make meaningful contributions.

The $60 set, with its piece count of 435, seems like it has a good chance of being a Batmobile, if a rather expensive one.  Hopefully it'd have more than two minifigures like many of the previous Batmobile sets over the past few years had.  The TLBM Batmobile was $60 and had five minifigures, though I doubt we'll be seeing that level of generosity.

The $40 set is a 4+ set with 180 pieces, so I'm not expecting much from the build.  Maybe it could contribute a unique minifigure or two.

The $70 set is what interests me the most, as it seems like it has the most potential for a strong build and minifigure selection.

Falconfan posted something talking about an 8 in 1 batman figure. Any idea what 8 in 1 means?

Maybe it could be a buildable Batman figure that has swappable parts to make 8 different variants? (Not sure if specific movie/comic/show/game variants could be featured) The buildable Batman from last year had 275 pieces, while the 8 in 1 figure apparently has 325 pieces.  Unless it's a Brickheadz set.

Arkham would be nice, but it also may be a BTAS batcave. In this case we could get a new Alfred minifigure. If it has some Wayne manor parts, the inclusion of Phantasm in the set would be reasonable

A Batcave could be a possibility, assuming that LEGO doesn't have any issues with having two big 18+ Batcaves available at the same time.

  9. I'm hoping it's something minifigure scale at least.  The piece count of 1822 makes me wonder if it could be a BTAS Arkham Asylum.  That isn't too far off from the piece counts of the 2013 Arkham (1619) or the 2017 TLBM Arkham (1628), and we haven't gotten a non-4+ Arkham since then.  Plus, some minifigures from the summer wave could probably be reused.

  10. Looking at the previous two Marvel sets at a $24.99 price, the Deviant Ambush had three minifigures, one of which, Gilgamesh, was exclusive and had three new prints that were not used elsewhere in the wave.  Both of the minifigures in the Miles Morales vs. Morbius set were exclusive, with Miles having one new print and Morbius having two new prints, for a total of three.  So three new prints total for the minfigure selection in the Surtur set sounds reasonable if the pattern continues.

If it is based on the beginning of Ragnarok, maybe a head and torso print for a Fire Demon and a new torso print for Thor?

I imagine a lot of people assume the second being Bill Weasley, supposing he will appear in the survey-leak-Burrow set.

If that set manages to get released during the summer, Bill would be a pretty good prediction.  I wasn't sure if it was assumed to be a Fall 2024 release.

At least 2 of those characters on the list will be coming this summer!

At least 2 this summer?  Interesting.  Karkaroff seems like a no-brainer for the Durmstrang Ship.  My best guess for the second would be Barty Crouch Sr. in the same set, unless one of the Hogwarts sets turns out to include Katie, Cormac, or Ernie.  Maybe even Peeves.

  13. I feel like we're eventually bound to get another Hogsmeade set similar in structure and pricing to the 2021 set, but with the Hog's Head and Zonko's.  That'd be the best way to "soft reboot" Hogsmeade when the 2021 set retires without actually repeating anything from that set.
