It's even more basic than that.
Marvel owns X-Men film rights now, so they are going to lean hard into elements of X-Men that sell well.
They made minimal X-merch when the Fox films were out because they didn't want to advertise a competitor. Not to mention, the only Lego sets to release sold extremely poorly.
Now they can do as they well.

5 hours ago, EggBoi said:Since Wolverine has been teased in the minifigure packs, then that means there's a likely chance that we may get some X-Men sets.
This is a common misconception. It's just a reused banner from early Lego Marvel. It's the same reason the 2014 Carol fig appears.

Thinking there's probably a stud for redwing, so you could probably attach a clip.
I really hope so too.

That wrap back to a circle on top? That wouldn't fit properly. Or they just abruptly end?
Would there even be room, or a flat space above the eyes? The eyes would be close to the top, maybe even in a rounded area.
Still have trouble envisioning it. Hopefully it's just not the case.

I just realized something. How in the world would Gator Loki's crown even be printed? It's not as if the gator head would be flat. The two horns would have to curve over its eyes or something, that wouldn't even make sense.
I'm gonna keep the faith that they put more effort into it.

Wow, that sounds awful. He was legitimately my most anticipated part.
They could've done it with a pin like they did literally 11 years ago for Dr. Porkchop...

Wow, this is gonna be like the best series ever!
20 minutes ago, SpiderJazz said:HOT ISSUE: Croki might not even have the crown and it breaks my heart
Wow, this series is a complete and total waste!
(In all seriousness, if they made a dedicated Throg mold, I think they'll make a Goki one)

9 minutes ago, THELEGOBATMAN said:"Well, this at least explains Throg's inclusion in the CMF. Honestly, the whole CMF series starts making more and more sense with each new information.
If that's the case, it must based on concept art. I sincerely doubt they would spend the money on finished effects and then cut the scene.

Which is a big step forward to getting closer to the official reveal.
I agree, always expected them to wait until this point. Hopefully they can beat the leaks for the rest of them...

New piece with a lil hammer.

2 minutes ago, hondohnaka said:Yeah I saw someone say that. Pity, seeing as a Spider Strange fig would have been really cool. Makes me wonder if other parts of the list are bogus too.
No way they could have gotten Gator Loki right by guessing. Maybe it's just some misunderstanding like Spider-Woman being in the Bugle.

Wow, thanks so much. Appreciate the shout out.
32 minutes ago, Agent Kallus said:I really like the figures in far from home set, but the builds being 4+ are awful and the parts themselves are also non that useful, and I haven't even mentioned the price yet... I think I'll either get it if there is a suitable discount or just hope the figures show up else where.
Sometimes I feel like the 4+ sets are excuses the create good figures but put very little effort into the builds and charge a lot for the amount of pieces. No 4 year old is going to care that much about exclusive figs, but a bunch of AFOLs are...

Marvel themselves did a merch feature this morning, I doubt it.

Here's the lowdown on the new suits. They obviously want to include the main ones from the movie without spoiling any of the main plot points.
The Upgraded suit appears with the modified belt area, because that's the one he starts with in the film.
The Integrated Suit is an amalgamation of the Upgraded suit and the Iron Spider. The Funko version also shows it has the ability to cast spells, so Strange and Peter probably work on it together.
The Gold suit is a little more mysterious, but I think I figured out its use. Electro is one of the confirmed antagonists, and the suit resembles shock-proof Spider-Man suits from the comics. The funko version also has exposed circuitry on its wrists and blue lights above the eyes, so this seems extremely likely.

I'm not sure the Advent Calendar could be blander if it tried. The only, and I mean only, appealing part I see is the infinity stones that have already existed for 3 years.
Even the new Spidey torso is wholly uninteresting. Easiest pass for me out of the entire wave.

This is Tony Stark landing in Sakaar in 2012. She wouldn't be dressed like that yet!

7 minutes ago, ood0 said:The minifigures are nice and all but it just baffles me how they created a new head that's perfect for the Watcher and then didn't use it on him?
They didn't give him a big ol' head because that's not what he looks like in the show.
I think this set is fantastic. It has Tony Stark in a Black Sabbath shirt, a better Valkyrie, and the Watcher himself! They even gave Valkyrie a bottle of booze
It's a great fig selection, and the mech itself is visually interesting with those awesome teal highlights. I personally prefer this to Iron Monger, I think the scale fits it better too.
Sure I'm getting sick of mechs, but this is miles above the War Machine one or any of the small ones.

Is Lego Club News reliable? I'm not inclined to believe it yet, but that's probably because I don't want to.
And now that you guys mention it, with the series being dominated by What If figs, it is rather disappointing they didn't include the Watcher.

There are an abundance of red ones over here in the States.

LEGO: "Of course not you idiot! Another day another Looney Tunes post! "
The funnier part is that it's the same one they posted last week, except they took out Roadrunner with the Woody legs and deleted the old one.
No unsanctioned fun allowed.

They're just carrying on per usual.
We have a set of expectations that we're projecting onto them, leading to disappointment and frustration.
We just have to carry on and what happens happens.
New LEGO Speed Champions 2022 Rumors, Speculation
in LEGO Town

Surely there's room for both iconic movie cars and standard racing cars in the Speed Champions theme.
The Aston Martin is an extremely iconic vehicle, and surely they'll prioritize detail over play features for this version.
Some films don't require a whole theme, just a recognizable vehicle and minifig. I think a Speed Champions subtheme is a good compromise.
