I’m happy for Winnie-the-Pooh passing the review! By the way, LEGO already did a theme for Disney’s Winnie-the-Pooh.

    https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Winnie_the_Pooh_(Theme)

Thus makes Winnie-the-Pooh the first LEGO Ideas set to be based on an discontinued theme that LEGO previously made! :purrr:

I did know that and lets hope if eeyore is included the figure is as good as the duplo version

  2. hidden side and Jurassic world are my main priority lego themes from now on lets hope the mystery castle is as good as the monster fighters vampires castle and haunted house with lots of playability

the fire truck sounds awesome too

The submarine sounds neat if it's anywhere near as nice as the similarly priced Beach Buggy. I'm curious what kind of possessed character might be found in this set since we've already gotten a diver in the current wave. Maybe we could get a creepy animal as well like the alligator from the Shrimp Boat set.

The race car is also cool sounding—we haven't gotten a haunted vehicle since last year's ghost train. I'll be curious to see how the color wheel is affixed, considering that this year's sets have made a point to have the color wheel be an exterior piece of technology on haunted subjects (rather than integrated into the build like in most of the ghost-fighting vehicles or all of last year's sets). That might be harder to do effectively on a subject that's mobile, unless they come up with a creative solution that still works narratively.

An abandoned prison is an interesting subject as well, and fairly fitting for the setting. Of course, if the prison is abandoned I'm curious what kind of possessed citizen would be found there—would an abandoned prison still have security guards there?

The number in the name of the Fire Truck set makes it sound like rather than being a haunted vehicle, it might be a ghost-hunting vehicle like the Paranormal Intercept Bus 3000.

A little confused by the castle considering castles are not a typical fixture of Hidden Side's deep south setting. Perhaps like the "Welcome to the Hidden Side" set it's part of the Hidden Side itself, rather than the regular version of Newbury? If so that will probably be our best chance to get "Hidden Side" versions of characters other than Jack as well as more physical ghosts (hopefully including at least one blue "sad" ghost and maybe even a bigfig ghost if they figure out a way to make that work physically).

the castle could be the lair of prime ghost lady e and what if in the submarine set we get a possessed shark

Looks great, now let's hope the sets themselves are better than last years' (which shouldn't be hard)

what there great seriously people like you are whats wrong with the lego community last years sets had plenty of playability and were diverse

the adult fans of lego keep complaining about wanting sets more original and when they do something different you still complain

    im just stating the facts

  4. I have just built the little mermaid storybook adventure and I have to admit they are great fun polly pocket type playsets and I can confirm the builds fold in really well when you close the book , there is quite a few stickers that you get in which you can customise any way you want , I really like the charm of the figurines , however some may not like that instead of a standard instructions book its a fold up sheet that you usually find in polybags

the price is great too considering there are printed pieces and there is plenty of room to move characters and play

I hope this theme does well

Got Arendelle built and the polybag. The table from the polybag (that gave us the cake) fits perfectly in the corner with matching brown embellishments like Anna's chair. The chairs fit perfectly side by side.  (Screwed me over trying to make this pic 30kb to share...it's so tiny, sorry.)

So glad I got Olaf with the sleigh to go with Arendelle since I didn't get the other sets. His body looks really nice. I just need sven.

If you liked the Toy story sets, the roller coaster goes well with the Unikitty coaster. My kids got those sets for Christmas and I merged them together tonight.

Now I just need to build the clocktower and play around with merging Arendelle with it and the other HP sets.

I did the same with my unikitty and toy story 4 rollercoasters

I just visited my LEGOLAND discovery centre store and they had the new storybook adventure sets in so I picked up the little mermaid and beauty and the beast ones alas no mulans training ground or moanas island home sets they will be available on the 7th of January along with a lot of other 2020 theme sets

The Creator toy store is too small for my liking, but I guess that can be remedied by buying multiple sets. I will remain ever hopeful that we eventually see the Creator residential and commercial buildings return to fully-enclosed (i.e. four walled) buildings. And that we'll one day see plenty of houses released again, especially given how disappointing the recent "modular" houses were.

The monster (burger) truck is too bizarre for me, but I can see it appealing to the key demographic (i.e. kids).

I think the toy store in the donut shop set is bigger

The film is devisive but seems to be, review wise, doing pretty poorly. The non-professional rotten tomatoes score is higher though.

I think of course it would affect sales if it does really bad. But it doesn't look like it'll do Last Jedi bad. And they'll probably still sell well because most of the sales are for kids and kids have a lower bar (whereas after The Last Jedi I totally stopped buying the sets myself 'cause the movie was so trash). I mean the Prequels sets sold really well and adults didn't really like them that much but adults are less of the target of course...

I think the most it'll affect, if this whole trilogy goes kind of bad, is long term sales. OT Lego sets seem to do better than prequel ones. I think OT sets will probably always have more legs for toys. Even if the movie bombs the current sets will probably do well enough but maybe in 5 years we rarely get sets from this triology.

but rotten tomatoes is full of sjw's who complain about everything honestly the rise of skywalker was doomed from the start as many people are still sore about game of thrones season 8  ----

SPOILER when the emperor was heard in the trailer I jokingly said he is reys grandfather

That's an interesting theory I haven't heard haha. Probably had the interns designs the sets for other themes (Marvel... SW..)

Despite these sets being very exotic looking, I can't stop expecting that this theme will end up like Unikitty or Toy Story... Guess we'll find out in the next few months

yes I fear that even though they are great sets , with lovely box art and fair prices I cant see many people buying them honestly I was expecting these sets in march when the marketing campaigns would be in full swing for the film

and peppermint_M how come you singled me out yet again numerous others do the same

How about this crazy Bus/Caterpillar thingie??

For some reason I can't stop looking at it! LOL

I know all these troll sets are appealing and it does look accurate to what it looks like in the trolls holiday special , did LEGO decide to let the best designers do these sets and that's why the upcoming sets in other themes are subpar , I think this set may be around £30-£40

I mean Mysterio's mech could always be an illusion right? He is really good at those.

Also is it bad that I'd be completely down to get an Aunt May mech? I feel like that'd be hilariously awesome.

yes even in into the spider-verse film it implied may has had a few scraps already but I thought ghost spider was another name for spider gwen

I don't expect the venom mech to be better than the fantastic previous one even though it looked like a giant formed symbiote more than a actual mech

the vulture set sounds like the dock ock truck heist from a few years back even that had a explode function on the back and featured the same number of minifigures 3
