  1. As in shop selection or do you think the set itself is better? Because I could maybe see your point if you're talking about the shop selection
  2. I would imagine they have at least a little flexibility in production. New molds obviously would be harder to reschedule but other than that I feel like it wouldn't be too hard
  3. I wonder if they've already started making Eternals sets? I imagine it would be costly for them to store them for over a year before being able to sell them! What are the chances we get a new Black Widow set now that we have another 9 months until the movie? That's the usual production timeline so I'd say it's highly unlikely, but they could decide to make a spoiler set to capitalize on the hype for this movie. I bet people will be VERY excited once it's finally released
  4. Does anyone think the new medium nougat "Nick Fury/Finn" hair from the Elite Police Driller set (60273) mean we might be getting an Osborn soon? I'm definitely using it for custom Harry and Norman. I'm leaning towards no, but it would be really cool if they did!
  5. I've always considered the hair they gave Krum as a buzz cut. I think it's realistically as close as LEGO is ever going to get
  6. Now that would be a great surprise
  7. So the $10 sets are confirmed as more mechs?
  8. Ebay is only ever great deals or complete ripoffs from my experience
  9. I would argue there was an improvement in the builds too. The Avengers tower is the best Marvel set they've made in a long time (or maybe even ever?) for me
  10. I imagine we might see Marvel on the list again next year. This wave is easily (for me) the best one in years and the last Spider-man wave had a number of new characters that have been asked for for a while. We just won't see the results of these sets for another year. I would be more disappointed if it's not on the list next year. The current wave's quality is down to it being on the list last year so they might drop the quality if these don't sell as well as the Endgame sets
  11. What store are you price matching the prices from? I haven't seen CMF's going for $3.44 anywhere
  12. I think that kind of gets to the core of the issue for me: it used to at least feel fair and like a good deal. The points were easy to understand and were easy to redeem, and I feel like there were more 2X points opportunities. When LEGO revamped their website and the VIP rewards, they definitely made it look nicer but it can be harder to use. I'm not usually one of those who goes "back in my day it was great!" but they really took a step back when they updated (you can't even organize or comment on your wishlist anymore!). Now I buy most of my LEGO on Amazon, it's frequently 20% off and I get 5% back with their card Then again, at least LEGO isn't Toys R Us bad
  13. Tyson's is such a long mall, but I've been to their LEGO store a few times (mostly for BAM) and it's so nice! Really wish there was one in southern VA too
  14. What are the chances that we get a double VIP points offer on the D2C? I'm still on the fence about it but getting $40 back would probably be enough to convince me
  15. Would it have any new minifigs/prints though? The DC one is just the minifigure series WW and Cheetah with another character made of existing pieces.
  16. Right, like I said I'm not opposed to it, just noting that it's very expensive and maybe prohibitively expensive for me. It is a little frustrating that I'd be missing out on Lockhart and Lucius if I skip it though since they were at the top of my list of missing minifigures I wanted at the end of the last wave with Ginny I would bet that we're getting a second D2C DA with the other shops and Gringotts in 2 years. "Gringotts and Alley Shops" or something like that
  17. It's kind of weird that this set looks better to me spaced out than in a line As great as this set it, unfortunately it's pushing me towards not buying HP sets anymore. I just don't know how I can justify spending $400 on a set, which I have no idea how I'm going to display, when I'm buying a house and getting married soon. In general this year, the sets have been getting more expensive and harder to justify but this really puts it over the top for me. $720 (not including the minifigure series or Hedwig) for JUST this years sets is kind of crazy, I've been getting rid of other stuff of my LEGO wish list to accommodate HP, but it feels like I'd be better suited cutting out these sets to still be able to buy more than a couple sets a year But that's just me, for the people who can afford this theme it really is wonderful! I'm so glad that LEGO is giving us more playsets and less vehicles (which makes sense for HP but still)
  18. But didn't he say it cost $30 or $40? I don't see B&B being worthy of the rest of the shops at that price. I'm leaning towards it being the brick wall "entrance" to DA. That Harry makes sense for that scene and it would legitimately add to the scene. Especially at $40 they could do some fun stuff with the entrance...
  19. This set is so confusing to me. I've been really excited for it until I saw the minifigures and now I can't help but feeling it's just too expensive for what it comes with 14 figures is a lot, but for a $400 set it feels lackluster (especially compared to the 20+ in the rumored $300 Ninjago City set) and the figures that are there are mostly repeats. Admittedly, Lockhart and Lucius are great additions, but it's honestly a bit weird to me that there's no shop owner for F&B and Scrib. It really is a beautiful set, and I really like it overall but the price makes it hard for me to justify if it isn't full of stuff I really want. I think at $300-$350 this would be fine but I personally want more characters (especially ones that could only be in a set like this) for $400. On a different note, I really don't get why people are so upset about how LEGO is doing reveals...they have a plan and they're sticking to it. Just be patient. They can't help if someone leaks it in the meantime I am very surprised that the leaked Harry didn't show up in this set though. I also noticed there doesn't seem to be an entrance (other than Knockturn Alley) when I'm pretty sure there was one in the set description...I wonder if the HP-4 set that ninjawhip told us about is a $300 GWP that's the brick entrance with that Harry? Just a thought
  20. Personally, I think they're different enough that at most I'll be taking interior parts of the old tower to add to the new one. The colors for everything changed I believe
  21. https://brickset.com/article/53185/pre-order-harry-potter-series-2-cmfs-from-minifigure-maddness This is a very tempting deal...
  22. That's very interesting! I might pose that question to my family as well and see what they think. My mom is as big of a fan as I am and my sister loves the movies but I don't think she's ever read the books (she asked to borrow mine recently but they're packed up in storage until I move into my new house
  23. I was really hoping 60271 was going to be $100-$150...I still think I'll get it at $200 but I wish they had excluded the fire/police stuff and gone for a better price point :/ also $200 for a 1500 piece City set isn't the best value even with the train pieces Can anyone tell if the tram would fit on the roller coaster style tracks? It looks like the wheel base is narrower than the regular trains but I can't tell if it's the right size for those smaller tracks
  24. We don't really think they'd do a D2C Harry Potter set as a 2-in-1 or 3-in-1 do we? That feels about as realistic as that fake leaker being correct to me if I spend $400 on a set and it's technically only half of the set....I would not buy that set personally. I don't think anyone is really happy in that case. Plus you'd end up with buildings that look nearly identical representing very different buildings and that just seems so anti what this reboot has been so far: very detailed and specific sets
