    Allied forces (all against Napoleon)

indeed. These are for general infantry, while the official shakos are better for the english rifles or light infantry. I also made a design for a higlander, I'll try to post this evening. Gaetano

that would make a great idea! Romans and pirates! I voted for sabre island, still don't own it, but it got me into lego pirates. Gaetano

Hey, I have made a new design for the English shakos, made of a 1*1 tooth plate, a 1*1 plate and a 1*1 inverted slope. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Tanotroo...-2007shako2.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Tanotroo...-2007shako3.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Tanotroo...-2007shako1.jpg Comments are as always extremely welcome! We need SHAKO's

I think 1dollar/euro would be a good price for most collectors, since we need to buy them in bulk. I made a design for the English shakos, which I will post asap. Gaetano

Can't we all sign a petition or something, or send mails to say they need to release an imperial legend, like Eldorado fortress? Or a new line of pirates in wich the shako is included? We'll have to wait and see... Gaetano

Yay it's my birthday! *sweet* (last time lol) Here is the WIP. It's based on the photos, but I leaned it over to the Imperial building style. It will have an interior, and I prefer a roof also :) la grande arm

PICTORIAL REVIEW: 6285 Black Seas Barracuda

I was lucky enough that I discovered lego pirates in 2003. I went to LEGOLAND billund that vacation, and saw this ship (legend version). I prefered it over the black falcon's castle, and I still do now. I also bought 30 brown rowboats, wich I don't have a use for now... I was surprised how long it took to build this ship... It's a magnificient exemple from the time when LEGO used a whole lot of plates instead of the now chunky blocks of plastic... My version also got the new shooting crossed cannons, I like them more than the shooting ones. I'm going to break it apart, (well, I'm actually already stealing pieces from it...) for MOCs. The special thing is... it has 4 places for cannons, and they are all filled up. This is missing in most of the other ships. Gaetano TT

    Mosana's custom torsos

why Napoleonic wars: it's a weird story: When I was 12, I stood with my hand in my vest, acting like someone I saw in the flinstones, for fun. My teacher (great guy) said: "Like Napoleon". Napoleon, I heard that name from somewhere, and only heard about how small he was (he wasn't that small). I watched tv, and on canvas, I saw Napoleon. I decided to watch, and saw the great battles and all. I went to search more and more about him, and I became a Napoleon freak (lol). The same teacher said we needed to do a "show-and tell" about famous historical persons. I chose Napoleon right away! I did the assignement dressed as Napoleon (with my fathers way to big black boots) and acted as him. I wanted to make these things in LEGO, so I saw that the pirate line included French and English soldiers. My interest was awakened again whilst on vacantion, by going to an exhibition about Napoleon, where a frenchman had this huge Waterloo diorama, with all the soldiers made by himself in tin. I bought 2 tin soldiers from him. (Now identified as a Belgian hussar/light cavalry and a light french dragoon I think) It rested then for a year and a half. Then, I was in Playmobil, and tried to make Napoleonic soldiers, wich didn't work because I couldn't get to the parts and all. I forgot about Playmobil and it rested a few months. But then: I saw this huge army of french line infantry in LEGO, over 100 soldiers. Impressed by this, I got a bit more back to Napoleonic wars. Then I bought Cossacks 2: European wars on PC, and this made the final push. I finally saw what I wanted. And now, I'm buying soldiers everywhere. The series I watched on canvas later turned out to be "Napoleon" with G
