    My lego star wars collection

You've certainly gone for quality over quantity, a nice collection there.

    7667 Imperial Dropship

Wow there are some harsh judges on these cheap sets! The shadow trooper is beautiful. Sure the ship isn't quite as nice as the rebel's ship, but I have to actually say that the stickers work pretty well on this set and I'd rather have had them than some blank pieces. The plate on which the stormies sit is a little flimsy but hey I'm still grateful to get a half reasonable ship in a minifig set. The pieces on the whole don't seem quite as useful as thsoe that come with the rebel ship, but 4 cool figs for a reasonable price seems like a good trade-off to me. I give it a solid 8/10.

    Endor Bunker Battle!

Hey, it's really nice, this is just my perspective but I think a little randomness in height in the bunker would look good, ie jsut a little less neat, but as it is I'd still love it for an Endor battle scene.

    Steampunk Milllenium Falcon BS find

You're right, that cockpit is brilliant. Slightly off topic but after this comp did the price of brown and reddish brown tiles skyrocket on bricklink?

    Rebel Battlepack Review

Lord_Sylp I have to disagree with you on a number of points. I found the speeder, well constructed, stylish and definitely swooshable, for the bonus part of what amounts to a minifig set, it's pretty nice. even the stickers that came with it look pretty good although applying the smaller ones is a little awkward, I guess I need little kid hands. I thought there was a good range of pieces and it definitely looks like a complete set unlike the stormies' ship that looks a little unfinished. They're some pretty harsh calls on design, pieces and price.

    TTfigs

Innovative, interesting use of the hand, does it make the fig a puppet? The bobbie looks superb, the extra height in the top half makes the proportions look just right.

    A "Little" Mistake...?

I heard it actually happened quite a bit with the mini star wars sets. There was also a brief run of 4483 AT-ATs with AT-TE written on the box, a few people were prepared to pay a premium for thesem but I guess jus thaving a wrong set in the box isn't going to be worth any more.

I have it on very good authority for an authorised seller that the Gunship will be $180 and the AT-TE will be $150 in Australia. These are the prices this seller was quoted from Lego.

    What did you buy today?

7657 AT-ST and just built it, a beautiful top, that uses some great building techniques, the legs on the other hand are horrible, more ugly than the box and any movement in them is very restricted. And now for another positive, the minifig is surprisingly good, but the downside is with the chair positioning he can't actually see out so no wonder they weren't real successful on Endor.

    Eurobricks Neighborhood Contest Poll

Batbrick got my vote, just ahead of was it Lost Viking. And as an added bonus I got to vote for another Aussie, even though it didn't influence my vote.

    Batman '08

I am so underwhelmed by the Mr Freeze set, good for people that don't have a Mr Freeze fig from one of the last wave of more expensive sets, but those vehicles look like they were hastily put together by a kid. Looks like the Jester's hat mold is being used for Harley as many suggested. I'll reserve my final judgement on that set once better pics become available, but my first impression is 'hmm, a bit ugly'. Let's just hope they make the tumbler a bit more accurate than the prelim pics show and it'll be beautiful.

    Steam A-wing

As others have said, the engines look great. The use of all the tiles don't have quite a steampunk feel to me (hey I'm no expert just a guy giving his thoughts). They seem to look a bit like a rickety wooden plank bridge. But hey keep up the steampunk MOCing, they're my favourite type of MOCs.

    What did you buy today?

I finally got my hands on the 7667 and 7668 battle packs. The figs are awesome, the black stormtrooper amazing. The rebel ship is actually pretty nice but I think the stormies ship will be dismantled for the parts pile, a few useful parts in it, but overall a pretty ordinary ship...but that won't stop me buying more of them for the figs and weapons.

No, you're not the only one. In the smaller pics I sort of imagined the clones to be closer to other clones lego had produced but with added features. Now they seem more cartoon-like. I guess this is good for consistency and after all they come from a cartoon. I just hope it's a look to appeal to kids. But hey, it's saving me some money and plenty of people here feel enthusiastic. Thankfully there are plenty of other great Lego sets coming to choose from in a variety of themes.
  16. If it's in good condition and definitely 100% complete you could expect $150 or maybe a bit more.

What got you back into lego after your "Dark Ages"?

It was actually a pretty ordinary theme that got me out of my dark ages, around 13-24 years old, this theme was Life on Mars. I was really into classic space as a kid but missed all the futuron, blacktron, M-tron,space police, unitron, ice planet themes which is a pity as some of them were pretty nice. I bought a few small discounted LoM sets, then pulled out my old classic space lego that was stored at my parents' place and wanted more space ships and then Star Wars first came out so I got a 7134 A-Wing. I found a few Space Port sets which I bought and then late 2002 I discovered bricklink and tried to complete my classic space collection, wow! sets I'd never seen before as classic space continued after I stopped collecting. Then I noticed a few nice star wars sets and I was hooked.

    Steam-punk X-wing MOC

Nice! What would be nice was if there was more lego available in brassy gold colours to add to steam punk creations. The engines look brilliant, definitely see them working as propulsion in steam punk. Are the white round bricks the steam? Anyway well done and I'd love to see more steam punk from you.

    What's the best space station?

I must say I'm surpised that the 6987 is so far out in front. I love the Blacktron 1 colour scheme, but to me , it just doesn't work at all well with the old classic space grey baseplates.

Is the new Castle line making old ones obsolete?

Well like many others I'm totally impressed with most of the new castle sets. I don't think they'll usurp the classic castle sets of the 80s but I'm sure comtemplating whether I need to keep all those KK2 figs and sets I have, when I could use the money for the upcoming castle sets.

    2008 Picture thread

I love the clones, but the cartoon look of the other figs is horrible. I assume this is to look more like the upcoming cartoon so it might attract kids which is great but for AFOLs like me, it's enough to make me pass on otherwise great sets like the AT-TE.

    LEGO and your pets

My cats love standard helmets, yes I even buy them for them as they tend to knock them under the fridge. They bat them around the polished floorboards for ages. That and my male cat likes to chew my Harry Potter graveyard duel as I built it, that wasn't so cute.

    What did you buy today?

More 6212 x-wings, they briefly reappeared on shop at home for less than 24 hours (for Aus buyers). And a minifig version AT-ST.

Why do you come to EB?

Definitely for all the new pics and some great reviews. So to all those that provide those, a huge thank you from me.
