What are people's guesses for the 2025 D2C? A yearly pattern has been pretty firmly established now, with varying sizes of sets ($350 Bugle, $250 Sanctum, $500 avengers tower, $300 X-mansion)

The pattern doesn't have to mean anything, but the first set (Bugle) tied in with the regular sets and reused the figures/recycled misc parts with a high total fig count, the second (Sanctum) was tied to relevant media (DS:MoM) and introduced more new figs rather than repeating, with a low fig count, the third (Avengers Tower) tied in with Legacy sets, reused figures and recycled misc parts with a high fig total count, and the fourth (X-Mansion) ties to relevent media (97)... figures currently withstanding, but hopefully introduces more than it repeats with it's low fig count. If that pattern isn't a coincidence, next year's could be tied to the sets released at the start of the year.

I really do hope it's Oscorp, comic Spider Man sets have so much more to give than just the same 1.6 inches of Venom over and over. Since the Bugle gave us new heroes, and important civilians made from recycled parts, Oscorp could do the opposite with new villains and some villainous civilians made from recycled parts

I am just saying that Batman universe is interesting because characters don't have superpowers

So do characters like Bane, Poison Ivy, Clayface, Killer Croc, Man Bat, Ra's Al Ghul and Solomon Grundy not count?

They're all part of the Batman universe, and all either have powers, or access to unnatural abilities

How many LEGO-sets TLG has made which are based that laser eye?

    ...never mind...

But the answer to how many sets include Superman's laser eyes are 8 sets, one dimensions pack, one CMF figure and one foil bag

    Would Ruth be Sabra?

    Yes.

I really hope that LEGO swaps Sabra/“Ruth” for Diamondback (she would realistically only need a new torso print)!

I'd rather have the Leader over either of them. Imagine telling someone in 2014 that we'd get a LEGO Sabra minifigure before the Leader :drunk:

We know we're going to get Wolverine for sure. I'd put money down that Cyclops and Magneto are also going to show up. If Beast or Rogue show up, we will have at least half of the characters be variants or repeats of existing figures. Nothing is certain yet, but it's looking very likely that we won't get as many new characters as we'd desire

The best comparison to what we'll get in the X-Mansion is what we got with the Sanctum. Unlike the big figure counts with the Bugle or Tower, the Sanctum's 9 figure count only consisted of one repeat figure from the Doctor Strange MOM Gargantos set, and the rest all used new printing somewhere (18 new prints total). But the Wong and America Chavez used in the Gargantos set weren't repeated in the Sanctum, even though they easily could've been, but America remained exclusive, and we got a different Wong

You're on the nail that Wolverine is a given, so that's one repeat from the X-Jet. I reckon Cyclops will also be a repeat, but possibly with printed legs (at least I hope), as he is the current leader of the team. As the X-Men's main villain/frenemy my wildcard guess is Magneto in his classic suit, reusing the same head but no printed legs, only a new torso. Rogue could be the new America, and stay exclusive to the X-Jet. So currently 2 new prints

Jean Grey, Gambit and Jubilee are the top picks to round out the base team of the cartoon. Jean would need a new face and torso (leg printing isn't essential for her costume), Gambit and Jubs would both need new face, torso and legs (it would also be cool if either used the Scarlet Witch skirt cloth piece for their coats. Between the two I think Jubilee would suit it better though, and I'm fine with Gambits coat being leg printing. Also if Jubilee ends up with bright light orange over yellow, they can reuse the skirt cloth from Dreamzzz)

Sinister is also the likely option for the villain, and would take a new face and torso at least. And finally as everyone says, it makes sense for the Professor to appear here, so a new face and torso. This makes my total new print count 14, and figure count 8.

For the other 2 figures, I'm just as clueless as to who it might be as everyone else, but to throw names around, lab coat Beast needs 2 new prints, Morph needs 2 (if same legs as Cyclops), Bishop needs 3, Nightcrawler needs 2, Deadpool needs 3, Iceman needs 2 and Sunspot needs 2. Two of these picks would bring the new print total to between 16-18

Just remember this is all speculation, and just because the Sanctum had 8 new figures/18 new prints, it doesn't mean the X-Mansion will be the same, this is all just my own guesswork. If in 7 months time it turns out I got all of this right, feel free to ask me about lottery numbers

Is it possible that TLG did not have any idea who plays Batman OR how his suit looks like? ... It is interesting that some of the minifigures, well almost all others are so accurate. Almost I would say. ... MAYBE Batman was kept secret in the end.

Pattinson was cast in 2019, the suit was revealed in 2020, and there's zero logical reason to hide the protagonist of a film away from merchandising

Like it or not, LEGO was lazy and cut corners, nothing else to say about it

I have a feeling they they'd adapt the $35 buildable figure format for a sentinel set now - wether you think that's a good thing or not, though... 😂

As someone with a deep hatred of them, I'd rather that format used for characters that make sense, like Surtur, Galactus or Sentinels, as opposed to giant actions figures of Iron Man, Cap, Wolverine and Venom

Giant Man was my exception to that, as I preferred the brickbuilt minifigure style used in Civil War, and the lack of a minifig scale set annoyed me

Wow episode 5 of X-Men ‘97. It nearly made me finally buckle and buy the X-Jet set but I’m still clinging on waiting on principle of the cost and waiting to know what (duplicate) minifigures come with the mansion.

If there is no Gambit minifigure this year I will be very unhappy.

Keep in mind all the Quinjet figures were reused in the Tower, I'd expect the same for the X-Jet. Maybe Magneto in that costume remains exclusive, and his original suit could appear in the Mansion

I'd hope Professor X, Jean, Gambit and Jubilee are included to round up the original team. 97 really seems to embrace a rotating roster of characters (Bishop, Nightcrawler, Sunspot), which makes expectations difficult. X-Men sets have so much potential, I hope we don't go the Venom route with them, if we eventually get more

Is it possible there could be more than 10 figs in the X-Mansion ? perhaps more at the back of the box like the Sanctum, leakers haven't seen yet ?

It's definitely possible, the original post said "around 10 minifigures", and everyone has since taken that to mean exactly 10

Although I feel like Fantastic Four will only get one set, I hope I'm wrong.

    Silver Surfer!!!!!!

I'd happily not get Silver Surfer from this film to be honest

I've never complained before about any of the race or gender swaps from Marvel (maybe aside from Taskmaster, but it didn't help that she didn't have any character in Black Widow), but come on now

There are actual female heralds of Galactus (Frankie Nova, Golden Oldie), Stardust who is agender, and enough male heralds that wouldn't receive as much backlash for a gender swap as this one will (Firelord, Air Walker, Morg).

But instead we're getting Norrin's wife instead. So yes technically it's not a gender swap, but what purpose does this serve to make her Silver Surfer?

As much as everyone else, I hope when the film comes out, there's a chance we could finally see some comic based F4, because that's where we'd the Silver Surfer we've all wanted since the beginning of the theme. It's still a long time til the film releases, and I'm still going to watch it regardless, but at this point in time my opinion on the matter is just... Why?

I wonder if it's possible we could ever get an X-Men related advent calendar. Especially considering the 90s show had a holiday-themed episode. But I guess between the MCU and Spider-Man, Marvel knows those two have more appeal and widespread recognition for an advent calendar compared to a TV show.

We'd need more sets to release before an advent calendar is possible, so then they can reuse all the figures. X-Mansion would be an X-ception as D2C figures typically remain X-clusive

The only new prints you'd usually find in a calender are X-mas sweaters, and I personally think a generic X-Men sweater could look X-quisite. The X-pectation however would be something with Wolverine's mask/Magnetos helmet and a basic unX-citing pattern set

On Brick Clicker's video, he gives a little more information, but only that there's 'two unknown minifigures'. My bets would be Thor and one of the little fire demon guys

My guess would be a repeat Valkyrie from the A-Force set. Especially looking at the rest of the wave, seeing that most of the figures will be repeats

I'm hoping that since we'll be getting at least one new Thor this wave, they update his head, but not holding much hope for that, since Tony has had the same head since 2018, even when it's used for civilian clothing or helmets that don't flip up, making the HUD printing pointless

    76293: Spiderman Advent Calendar

246pcs $44.99 Minifigures include: Spider-man, Ghost Spider, Venom, Miles Morales, Green Goblin

I'm pretty sure I called this last year. Wonder which figures will have the sweater treatment

    76286: The Milano

2090pcs $169.99 Minifigs include Star-Lord, Drax (grey version), Gamora, Rocket & Baby Groot (moulded piece not minfig)

Right so I'm confused... GotGV2 to the Holiday Special is a 6 year gap for Drax, so clearly at some point during this time, he became slightly greener.

Obviously he's always been grey, but since LEGO made him green (which he is in the comics), I was hoping they'd give us more than just a head. But now we have designers without colour blindness...

A little disappointed it's not Vol 1 Groot with long limbs, but very happy Gamora is finally back

76289: The Avengers Assemble: Age of Ultron

613pcs $109.99 Minifigs Include: Iron man, Captain America, Thor (new plastic cape), Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk bigfig & 3x Hydra Agent.

A set with all 6 Avengers (that's cheaper than the Tower) is pretty cool, but what we were all expecting would've been cooler. Until I see pics, sounds like a skip for me

This set does sound like a NWH type display set without the round base perhaps, so maybe my past ramblings could happen. Fingers crossed for an IW Titan battle

76290: Avengers vs Loki & Leviathan

347pcs $59.99 Minifigs include: Hulk bigfig, Captain America, Black Widow, Loki & Chitauri. Build is a Leviathan which is very similar to the one in Avengers Tower

So if everything here I already have from the Tower, sounds like another skip. At best Hulk will have a new head, but if said head is reused in the AOU set, then this really can't offer me anything

    76289 Surtur Battle $24.99

No elaboration on the one set I'm looking forward to most? I'm only expecting a Thor figure, would've been nice to hear theres more

    29 minutes ago, Rwbricks said:

    76287 Iron Man Vs Hulk (4+) $10.99

After the AOU set being a different scene, this set being only $11 is the second biggest surprise after the last Iron Man 4+ cost $25 with 66 pieces. If it's the same Iron Man (perhaps with reused minifigure Hulk from the mech) then I might grab this

Quantumania wasn’t even near as popular as nwh

Okay, but that doesn't have anything to do with the point you made though. All we had for Quantumania was a buildable Giant Man figure, still not a single minifigure from that film, which might've been the only opportunity to get Kang the Conqueror before he became Kang the Cancelled

  17. 9 hours ago, Matichado said:

Hear me out people: we are getting a NWH bridge battle, not leak but based on evidence: it would be absurd that LEGO makes two iconic and demanded suits one of them TWICE: the iron spider and raimi goblin without making minifigs of them so hear me out: they will make a NWH bridge battle if not this year then next winter wave cause LEGO doesn’t like making buildable stuff like helmets brickheadz or buildable figures of stuff that isn’t in the market the same year it happened with Rex in Star Wars: we got a helmet early and BOOM that fall we got him as an official Minifig

    <Laughs in Quantumania>

But still no. If they know their movie is bad, they'd doubled down on merchandising to make up for the money.

So if we follow this logic, we should be seeing Madame Web sets soon right? Sounds like a lot of money was lost, so I expect a full wave. An ambulance, a Pepsi sign, the jungle where Ezekiel Sims was with her mom when she was researching spiders right before she died
