So at long last, LEGO are finally forcing me to buy one of these things... as long as it's only a faceplate and not the same as those accursed figures I'll forgive it BRING BACK THE BUILDABLE LEGO FIGURES, BE GONE WITH THE LEGO BUILDABLE FIGURES!!!
-
I'll send you one of the CMF medal pieces to add to your meal
-
The Wolvie buidables were both marketed with 97 on the box, and the CMF page does say "X-Men 97 Adventures" under the picture of Storm and Beast https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/lego-minifigures-marvel-series-2-71039 Alsooo technically the audience who watched X-Men TAS in 1992 are now an "older audience". End of the day though, it doesn't really matter what they're branded under, the animated characters look just like they do in the comics (probable exception of Sunspot's 97 costume), so everyone's winning... except fans of the bland black latex movie suits I'll let it slide. They said the *title card* word enough in the episode that kept block teasing us until the very end Heads the easy part, torso might be a bit difficult to swallow Don't know if a LEGO torso would be great to swallow either
-
Just a thought, but if Feige can appear in Avengers Tower without existing in universe, don't see why Deadpool couldn't make it in the set even if he's not involved in 97. Just simply a bonus figure Sorry, but we don't say that name in this forum, we only cut to title card

Really had to double check I read that right, certainly a take I haven't seen on the film yet. I saw it one week ago, I'm still debating to myself whether I prefer the first or second (leaning more towards second, Kamala carried) Haven't yet seen any good discounts for Hoopty yet, and having seen that the GotGv3 ship & Knowhere are under 'last chance' on the LEGO shop, which is surprising as a couple of Eternals, Love & Thunder and Wakanda sets are still there (though also currently on last chance too), so I wonder how long until Hoopty follows suit Preliminary, not final Besides is getting a brand new iconic Marvel landmark centred on characters that LEGO has famously blacklisted, with brand new characters that aren't Venom not exciting?

I know it's 'What If...?', so certain characters being together doesn't mean it HAS to be 80s, it could be 90s, but between Janet disappearing in 87 (Hank wouldn't be as quippy if she's 'dead' right?), Peter Quill (who appears to be the villain) being abducted in 88, Mar-Vell dying in 89 and Bucky killing Howard in 91 (eventful few years ), I'd place my money on 80s Would really make for a cool set, especially if Ego shows up (which would make sense if Peter's powers are activated) Rumours stated one episode would be based on Marvel 1602, and it looks like during Infinity War, Cap accidentally scrapes the Time Stone, sending the Avengers back in time. So... Hulkbuster 1602 set incoming?

Trailer for What If, including our first look at Goliath Few characters we see that could've been good alternatives: Doctor Strange Supreme (skipped again! THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!!), Odin, Mar-Vell, T'Chaka, Rocket and Kahhori (who I think should only be included if they cover other characters as well)

But it's also lighter than the suit his previous figure was based on. Ultimately though if the X-Men line grows out, that shade of blue will probably be used for Nightcrawler, Mystique and most X-suits that involve blue (Jean Grey, Cable, Bishop, etc). Only blue-adjacent X-Man that I could see having a different shade is Iceman I do agree, and I don't have any problem with the figure... at least above the waist...The visor being printed is 100% fine by me. Even if not Cyclops for a visor/hairpiece mold though, I stand by my point that Storm's spot in the CMF should've gone to a different character that would require more detail or new molds. And Rogue is definitely a good shout, her hair could've really used that CMF touch Her hairpiece looks like it belongs in a beach MOC next to a seagull Couldn't find a show with that name, are you sure it's on Amazon? Joking aside, I weirdly don't think I've seen anyone make customs for <title card><blood splatter>

Dark blue wouldn't look right on his 90s suit. The actual colour would fall somewhere in the middle between regular and dark, but without a colour in LEGOs pallette to accommodate that, regular blue is the better pick A molded visor is exactly why I think Cyclops should've been in the CMF. Storm's hairpiece would've been easy to introduce in a set, whereas Cyclops' visor would've required dual printing, something the CMF would've provided. Plus her leg printing is very basic, and honestly unnecessary (I know that'll probably anger the leg printing worshippers, but if you look at her costume, plain white is all she really needs)
-
Rocket wouldn't be a repeat, the last few figures we got were based on comics, Endgame and GotGV3, they'd need a new torso to update either his orange or Ravager outfit
-
Cap 4 had been filming, Thunderbolts was next up in early production, meanwhile we still don't have a cast for Fantastic Four. So at least to me, F4 is highly likely to be pushed back, then we'll just have the 3 films in 2025
-
Personally I'd say the Dana Barrett/Agatha hairpiece would've been better For years, Narcissa's hairpiece was perfect for making a purist Rogue, but here it's really not been executed very well
-
And Red Guardian (not gonna get ahead of myself and say he will be in Thunderbolts sets, MCU sets this year have been rather incomplete with important characters) Also, good news, after 4 years, we're finally getting a Spider Man bust/helmet in January, at the appropriate and reasonable price of $70
-
I got to 8/12 without a single spare, then I ended up getting one duplicate of almost all of them (just one She Hulk & Wolverine for the moment) And I'm also still missing Moon Knight (both in fact), plus Kate and WBN
-
I thought the same for a moment, but then what's the excuse for the X-Jet being the same price Sounds like Skrull talk to me...
-
Exactly. The big secrecy behind Endgame and NWH, and the fact they were both top 10 highest grossing of all time guaranteed future spoiler sets, but the same definitely doesn't apply to surprise cameos in regular films LEGOs budget would be much better put towards covering missing characters from the Infinity Saga that have more importance than Silent Bob, Jim's Spaghetti and Tom Cruise's Maria Rambeau Trade Arachknight for a Venomized Web Slinger with a Venomized Widow, and it's a day 1 for me
-
Cap and Black Widow could be reused, maybe Vision too, but that would take away from the Tower, so maybe not For new, other than Quicksilver and Ultron, Iron Man MK45 and Hawkeye would be my picks. Also a generic Ultron drone that could appear twice to round out the battle I thought he'd be a given as he could be reused, though the Hulkbuster looked amazing, I have the original, and one new figure wasn't enough to completely sell me on it But as others have pointed out, being able to recreate the 'always angry' scene would've been nice

Sure, Selvig was more obvious, but I called Pierce (close enough to our first CA:TWS figure after the half film/half comic Bucky) After seeing all these iconic scenes represented, I'm a little disappointed for no Rumlow, could've included the elevator scene, but otherwise I'm happy with this Hope the big omissions of Quicksilver and Ultron means a Sokovia final battle set in our future🤞 Let's pull up the stats for these "low standards" Bugle: 12 exclusive prints on 6 minifigures, 10/25 figures were repeats Sanctum: 18 exclusive prints on 8 minifigures, 1/9 figures were repeats Avengers Tower: 21 exclusive prints on 9 figures, plus two brand new molds for big figs, 14/30 were repeats (arguably 16 if you include Thor and BW who both include one exclusive aspect to their figure that previous versions haven't used) And yes, 4 were literally the same figure, but if you think including multiple Chitauri in a $500 Avengers diorama is a waste of potential and or budget, then you might not have noticed every Avengers film includes a 'canon fodder' army for all the heroes to face, it doesn't take 1 Chitauri to pose a threat to 6 Avengers

I've just watched the Ashnflash review of the visual dictionary, and there's a couple of points of interest that deserve sharing *There are several mentions of High Evolutionary on the page talking about the Bowie (Guardians New Ship without the licence to David), also no mentions of Ego at all on Star Lord's page *In the X-Men section, Deadpool is completely missing, even though his helicopter is displayed. Both the Sheriff and Duck figures are also missing from the page talking about exclusives (Comic Con). Punisher too, but he at least was ONLY in an 18+ set, anyone could've gotten the Pools
-
Miles, Spider Ham, Black Cat (who all appear on the back), Peter Parker, JJJ, Robbie, Betty, Ben Urich and Ron Barney And if you need more evidence that what we see isn't all we're getting, no way this set doesn't include Iron Man
-
Not shown in the box art are either of these 2 Iron Man suits, Wong (assuming he is in the set and they didn't get it... Wong <badum tss>) and Kevin Feige Let's all just keep in mind that the Sanctum had Infinity War figures on front, and MoM on back, so just because we can't see any more, doesn't mean there isn't Hoping for a billboard or poster round back for Rogers: The Musical too Then again, Ant Man's inclusion has to be 100% in reference to it, assuming no other figure is from Endgame
-
The price of the set isn't covering arm and leg printing though, it's covering over 5000 bricks Daily Bugle had 12 new prints on 6/25 figures and Sanctum had 18 new prints on 8/9 figures, so far we've seen 9 new prints on 5 minifigures out of 31, with much more to come, and maybe it's just me, it usually seems like it, but I'd rather see this sets new prints budget spread over as many of these 31 minifigures as possible, rather than only having like 5-8 highly detailed figures
-
Well it looks like you're right, the torso has leaked I was expecting it to be a damaged MK7 not 6, as it would make more sense to the first Avengers, also it would've been nicer to have a damaged version of a suit we already have (updated, I know it exists in 2012)
-
Personally I'd go for what Soldier Boy says to Homelander in the S3 finale
-
Glad I'm not going crazy, when I saw that figure was grey, I went looking for film screenshot reference photos cos to me he was always wearing green, but in all the photos, all I could see was grey Just chalked it up to a bit of Mandela effect
