First post, so here goes.
I was always under the impression that Lego was impervious to harm [except Technic... that stuff broke on me with relative frequency]. But I noticed lately that a lot of bricks seem to be splitting, far more frequently than I thought possible. I have a 1x2 flat plate from, I think, one of the Creator mini sets last year and it's split up both sides. Worse, the 1x2 brick with knobs on it from the micro crane in the Advent calender is cracked in two lines up one side, and it's only been built for 9 days [the calender makes it easy to back-date it]. They're both yellow...
Is this a colour thing? A manufacturing thing? Lowering quality? Am I doing something wrong here? It's distressing, to say the least.
