I've built both. The pony car is much smaller and more compact. They are both excellent, your choice would be based on what you are looking for. Since you already built the Predator, I'd recommend going with the pony car for something different.
Thanks, Blakbird. I will take your advice and I have already placed some BL orders for the Pony Car!

Most of what I like to build is midsize. Most of the MOCs are non RC. Many have instructions, so feel free to build what you want.
Indeed:) I am glad that I found your blog when searching. Very cool place. Thanks!
Personally my favorite medium size set is buggy 8048. It has just few functions (steering, suspension and fake engine) but I've built lots of alternative models out of its parts.
Love your alternative builds!
http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=98843 this is one o The best small rally car i've ever seen!
This looks so great. Does it have instructions?

Sorry for bumping up this old topic.
I built NK's Predator and I absolutely love it! When I was looking back at NK's earlier work, I got interested in his Pony Car. I like the compact size of it. And I think I could also possibly build a Jeep based on its chassis. But before investing on it, I just have one question -
Is this an advancement from his older Concept Car. Or should I instead build his Concept Car which is more modular and maybe better engineered despite the bigger size?
-
Thanks for the recommendations! I don't have a strict upper limit in part count. Maybe less than 1200 parts. But I am thinking more about the physical size, not the number of parts. 8043 only has 1124 parts but I consider it big because it is hard to just pick it up and play with.
Looks like most of the recommendations above use old pneumatic parts. The only pneumatic model that I have built is 8110. Not my favorite, but I think I will give one of the smaller ones a try.
As for RC models, I think some of Madoca' RC cars will fall into this category. They're fantastic and I've already built the SUV MK1 and MK2.
Any recommendations for non-RC, non-pneumatic models?

I've built a number of large models recently. IMHO, 8043 represents the best of RC models, and NK's Predator represents the best of non-RC models today. But they're all large models. Now I'd like to explore more mid-to-small sized models to see what Technic can achieve at a smaller scale.
So what are the best mid-sized technic models that you can build with parts readily available today? No matter whether they are official sets or MOCs, RC or non-RC.

Great work! It is so interesting to see this car taking shape gradually. Obviously, This is not a light one. How does it drive at different speeds?

Great progress! I like it very much. I was thinking about suggesting you post the work here in EB when I first saw it on lelezhen. You will get more constructive feedbacks here. Now here you go! :) Btw, if I can vote for the color scheme, I will definitely vote for white and black.

+1. This one must belong to the HoF IMHO.
another proposal:
Nathanaël Kuipers 2015 Predator Supercar
Topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=106316&hl=predator
Nathanaël is an Eurobricks-member, there exists a topic and i forecast that it will sit on blakbirds shelf in not too distant future ;-)
And - btw - it is an outstanding model of an outstanding designer...IMHO

I understand that Chinese find it easy to buy/sell on a chinese emarket, but this doesn't justify to sell someone else instructions at first place!!!!
I completely agree with you. I was talking about the buyers. It is somewhat understandable. There's nothing to say about the sellers.

As a Chinese Lego fan, I feel really sorry about this. Actually, someone shared this very discussion to the biggest Chinese local Lego forum. Most folks there feel bad too. Many of them expressed great respects to the original authors and the willingness to buy the instructions from an official channel. I personally also buy instructions from the authors directly. However a big number of them as I believe are still getting the instructions for free or at a relatively low price from taobao.com or from other people's sharing.
I think there're several reasons behind this. Many Chinese fans do not read English well or do not have the habit of going to English websites. Paying in foreign currency is also not too easy for them. On the other hand, Alibaba has made taobao.com extremely easy to buy almost anything. So it has become the default choice for many things. They buy instructions there without thinking too much about intellectual property. Things are being improved over years, but I have to admit that as of today IP is still a concept that many folks don't have in mind especially for digital things.
Some folks there suggested the authors to open stores at taobao.com to sell the instructions for Chinese fans. But I am not sure whether MOCers are interested and how feasible is that.

I just can't understand why this MOC is still not on HoF! :)

Personally I prefer robustness way over a little better looking. You always have to balance. I think you have done a great job. I don't miss the brake system and sequential gear box. They are fantastic but now it is time for something new:)
I tried with non-technic parts, but the result wasn't better and it was very fragile.
