My main observation is that they really stepped down a bit with the TFA minifigures. Particularly the generic rebels (sorry, resistance). So many of them had plain legs; we'd got used to printed legs on most SW figures before that. I've had to replace so many sets of legs with Bricklinked replacements. There are certainly some figures who would benefit from dual moulded legs and printed arms, for sure.

13 hours ago, La Chupacabra said:I think that sw585 is the best Stormie for now. Black hips are OK for me.
I agree with this too. Plus I have like 40-something of them, so don't want them to change :)

Just confirming triple VIP points and FO stormie are valid for UK. Ordered the Death Star. Took until at least 2am for the triple VIP points to actually show up in the basket.

I use third party weapons for all my figures anyway, so whether it's stud shooters or normal blasters doesn't worry me (I have a box full of them, and I've sold quite a few).
New sets sound an interesting mix, but until I see them it's hard to say. Likely to pick up the RO sets, not the buildable figures, and only the MicroFighters if the figures are useful.

The embargo can only continue until LEGO themselves release images, which they have. As have all the other Rogue One toy manufacturers. Someone's got their wires crossed here at EB it seems...
FWIW, I thought the RO sets looked great when I saw the leaks, and the final set images don't dampen my enthusiasm for them. I hate all the negativity about everything here. We're getting amazing products more and more frequently. They're toys. It's all good.

I know this is one of these open-ended questions, but can anyone remember when we usually see prelims of the Winter sets? Specifically the new Phantom, as I want another Phantom to go on my Captain Rex's AT-TE, but am trying to decide whether to wait for the new one to pair with my Ghost or to Bricklink another set of the old version without minifigs.

A 2nd Resistance Transport, the Star Scavenger and the A-Wing vs TIE set on Argos' 3 for 2 sale, and the Combat Frigate. Plus I Bricklinked 3 extra walkers from the CTT and a handful of minifigs

Picked up the newer HSD, 75142. Wasn't going to pay UK prices (£34.99 is $46.35 currently) but it's $24.99 plus tax at TRU right now so I picked that up while in Tucson.
Also ordered the Captain Rex AT-TE set from Amazon UK because it was on a great discount (£76.98), and with the weak pound since Brexit, was cheaper than in the US ($102 incl tax and shipping)! I'll pick that up from my parents on 1st August when I get to England.

Clone turbo tank, Resistance X-wing, Encounter on Jakku and Eclipse fighter from a Target while I was passing through Mississippi (lowest sales tax of any state I'm visiting on my trip)

If other LEGO games are anything to go by, the other DLC packs usually come along a month or so later than the exclusive release.Concerning the new game, will the PS4 exclusive DLC packs (droids pack) or the Gamestop exclusives (jabba pack) ever be released on other platforms such as PC in the future? I don't see any reason for them to keep it console-exclusive. I ordered it from Steam, by the way.

Fabulous build, great atmosphere. Would love to see it from more angles.

Not even had chance to pick up the June wave yet, and I've got a new guitar on the way, but I need to start saving. These (other than 75156 - need to see that more clearly as it doesn't look like much in the tiny image) look really good and have a great OT feel to them. I see myself buying several AT-STs for different dioramas.

I'm thinking this is likely to be the Force Friday freebie when Rogue One sets come out

75134 Galactic Empire Battle Pack is based on the Battlefront game (as is 75133). I need to count my Stormies at some point. I've picked up quite a few over the last couple of years (mostly SW585)Battlefront bp?

I dunno, I've never heard him speak (or seen him act at all for that matter). It's all about the voice, what they look like is secondary. Plus it can't have helped that Dylan O'Brien (one of the favourites) got badly injured filming Death Cure.

AT-DP is already discontinued... I'd expect the Final Duel will still be available for a little while, maybe until the Rogue One wave comes out? Or the next winter wave. I'd expect the first wave TFA sets to be available until sometime next year (not sure if it's usually 18 months or 2 years that sets stay on shelves, probably depends on the area, although the AT-DP only got 12 months). BTW, are you still looking for normal LEGO blasters?Does that mean they will be discontinued soon? Was hoping to get one of those next month.

Grabbed the Death Star Final Duel set plus another AT-DP and FO TIE Fighter while they're still available and before the June wave. I'm moving apartment in just over a month, so won't be able to do any more building for a while, but I plan to pick up most of the summer sets while I'm in the US in July.

Thanks for that. The Rebel Starfighter looks a really cool interesting design. Sort of a cross between a Y-wing and a Kom'rk fighter
-
The minifigs in the last AT-TE were pretty weak too... only Mace Windu and the Clone Commander were of any real value IMO. At least with this one we get 5 actual minifigs.
-
These are cool. For mine, I just replaced the 58247 blasters with 61190f blasters which look a lot better. But not as detailed as this.

I like the look of the ship, the minifigure selection is OK, but putting Kallus in instead of the 7th sister makes no sense. We already got Kallus with the Gozanti, which is the natural display partner for this ship. And we now have 3 Rebels sets with Kallus, 3 with Ezra, 3 with Sabine, 3 with Kanan, but only 1 with Zeb (and 2 with Hera if you include the Ghost microfighter)? Another Chopper is a welcome inclusion though.
Do we know what store this is an exclusive set for in the US? TRU? Target? Just so I know where I need to go when I'm in the US - it'll be lots more money in the UK and more still here in Hong Kong.

There's no bad sets per se with the Ep 7 stuff (although several are overpriced) but it just seems like it's a bit phoned-in (by the TFA filmmakers, more than by LEGO). Just a lack of iconic vehicles. When troop transports are among the best sets from a movie, something is wrong IMO. Both the First Order and Resistance transports are good, but not inspiring. The other good sets are minor tweaks on older designs (the X-Wing, TIE Fighter and Falcon)

There's not much that can be done about the shape of the figure, sure, but it's just that hair piece that looks terrible (and the skin tone - she should be the same as Starfire from the Jokerland set)I don't blame Lego for Sabine she's got a very skinny shape that's not the best for Lego.
What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
