  1. This set is classic Lego star wars at its greatest, I really want this set, apart from the miss matched colours the set is perfect and just shows what TLG can do without going to extreme lengths to do it.

And fallenangel327 I think reviews can be bumped at any point.

  2. Well done Troopmaker, that speeder is a big improvement on TLG design, I like the back and front, but not so sure about the beam down the middle, a bit to high and thick, but still a good job.

On the ranks point 100 posts is citizen 500 is knight 1000 is count etc

  3. The helms used in the V wing are supposed to be closed ie post-13561-129155518448.jpg and post-13561-129155520063.jpg this is because the v wing has no internal atmosphere like the TIE fighter and unlike the ARC fighter where the pilot has an open face like post-13561-129155517285.jpg. there is no minifig of post-13561-129155519209.jpg.

Edit: where are my images? I can see thm in code view but not like this

  4. Just to clear up the pilot thing the first two are republic pilots and two second are imperial pilots.

    post-13561-129155517285.jpg and post-13561-129155518448.jpg

    post-13561-129155519209.jpg and post-13561-129155520063.jpg

    and the Lego versions

    Pilot 1, Pilot 2, Pilot 3.

There is no minifig of pilot 3

Pilot 1 and 3 are open faced pilots that fly ARC fighters, Y wings, Shuttles and ships with atmospheres. Pilots 2 and 4 are closed faced pilots that fly ships like TIE,s and V-wings that have no atmosphere.

The pilot in the imperial v-wing is the closed faced one like the closed faced clone pilot but painted black, and will eventually become the TIE pilot. The old V wing pilot is the same as the EP shuttle pilot but a old mold (a closed face republice pilot).

The open faced imperial pilot (pilot 3) has no minifig.

  5. No, I meant on the computer. If you don't want to, do you mind if I try?

If you want to, you can try with these ones, and if you want you can also try with the ones I take tomorrow. So go ahead  anything will be an improvement on my awful photo skills.

  6. This may not end up being accurate but here is my Theory: The reason they brought back the Falcon was to use it in the Movie they had not used it as a set in, they have not made a ROTJ Falcon so I assume it will be a ROTJ One.

Hmm yes I suppose so. The problem I made was I thought that all the MF where ESB sets, but I forgot to look at the figs on the first version so my mistake. Yes i think it must be a ROTJ set. Hopefully it will follow the lines f the previous two and not the UCS one.

  7. Great job, CB, I like the second one best. You guys should try brightening those shots, though, I think that'd make the snow pop.

I tried but the snow was so heavy it blocked most of the light I tried using on it, and when I used an artificial light source the snow and figs blended together :hmpf_bad:

  8. I think we can trust the South African site but I still need pictures to be totally sure

Hmmm it seems to Me that the SA site has some sets in common with *HIM* but They have set numbers, nothing to prove, or fool, so even without pics, for now, I am willing to believe them. I wonder if the Falcon is ANH, ESB, or ROTJ?

  9. Yep.

I do rearrange that display every once in a while, so I can ensure that the CW ones are in the back. Like in the section where I display the Droid Developer Kit, Battle of Endor, MTT, and Mon Cal Cruiser, I use the Twilight and AT-TE boxes to lift up the latter two so I can see the four non-CW boxes.

HAHA a CW bully, its a shame really because some CW sets are really good like the AT-TE and the RGS and some deserve to be flung as far into hyperspace as possible (Twilight, Droid battle pack, Hyena bomber, solar sailor etc)

  10. Okay, fine. What I meant was that using Technic could open up more possibilities, it's not my fault that TLG used it in the wrong way.

Well, as I just said, like the AT-AT had them used very well! But there was also the Star Wars technic models that were cool as well!

Well Brickdoctor it could if TLC used it responsibly and The_Customizer yes the technic models where good and I would like to see more of them in 2011 or 2012 (BTW would they count as action figures and infringe on Hasbro's rights?) I presume by AT-AT you mean the motorized one, if so then I suppose you could be right.

  11. You are living each and every Lego Star Wars fan's dream. :cry_happy: Damn it, I wish I had £1,000,000 GBP to spend on all the Lego Star Wars sets ever made. Oh well, that is but a dream that is likely to never come true. :cry_sad:

    Lord Embo

Looking at the cheepist (no box or instructions To build you dont need them and we have the instructions on EB) sets on bricklink or ebay or amazon only  about £5,000 is needed over all (the majority of that pricing comes from the UCS, DS playset, and CC)

  12. Same here, although I have to disagree with you on Technic, I think it opens much more possibilities for the model.

Like in the Twilight, the technic in that closed off so many possibilities in the model, the first thing it did was quite literally close off part of the model. I.e. the huge spacious cargo bay was completely filled with a pointless technic landing gear.

  13. Hmmm

I for one hope that TLG turns its back on pupils on figs I don't like them they make the figs too detailed and not Legoie enough. I might have mentioned this once or twice (13 times that I can remember  ) but I much prefer old Lego SW (1999-about 2002) and pupils (along with technic, endless amounts of characters, and some CW) are responsible for the 'megablockification' of Lego IMO.

  14. Nice new shots CB and Mr Man. They're very good considering that you are both(I assume) new to taking photographs of your Lego Star Wars collection. I hope to see more good shots from you in the future.

    Lord Embo

Thanks and yes I am. I might take some more or some better shots tomorrow, at least work on the resizing issues. I've got plenty of time before the snow goes away .

  15. I thought it was the phantom menace

Whadayamean? Clone Wars was far and away the greatest of them all. How could you not know that?

    not

I was been serious I really like ATOTC and can't see what everyone hates about it, but don't talk to me about PM (IMO CW does not count as a film and is just a glorified episode)

  16. The Twilight is one of those sets that still looks horrible even if you had one, I have had one but sold it on again.

As for a set that does look better at second glance, the RGS. this looked blocky and ungainly on the net, but when I finally got my hands on one (a friends, not my own ) I saw that it was good, but not a patch on the old one. (I didn't like the choice of figs though 8 clones would have been better).

  17. Thanks,

I recomend resizing the pics but uploading both different sizes to brickshelf but only deeplinking the smaller ones and linking he bigger ones so people can see the more detailed ones.

I live up north in Yorkshire, and its very very deep .

    Thanks, CB

Thanks I looked but I have just realized that I replaced my HD pics with the resized ones *facepalm* not good.

Off Topic: up here in west yorkshire the snow is up to my knees (about a foot and a half )

  18. Well done CB.

I like the first and last ones. I also see what you mean about resizing, maybe if I resized them to 50% instead of 25% they would look less bad, (but they looked OK on my computer before I uploaded them). Incidentally what part of England are you in as the snow doesn't look 'that' deep

  19. Very good Mr Man . Did you did those on a window ledge  (I don't mean that in a bad way). The last one is the best picture .

    Thanks, CB

Thanks and yes it was on my window ledge, so I could stay in the warm whilst photographing them. The snowtrooper angle one, I liked that one my self.

I have a very good camera but brick link reduces the quality a lot, does anyone know how to avoid that?
