What's the best way to store minfigures?
Mythos replied to ziljin's topic in General LEGO Discussion
my Husband pics them up at Walmart for like $3-4 ea. (don't remember what they are called) he likes them cause the 32x32 baseplates fit right inside them with room to spare fore and aft for misc. items. -
What's the best way to store minfigures?
Mythos replied to ziljin's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well this is how my husband stores his figures before he makes factions with them: his minifig faction building area (this has changed): once he starts organising factions: and how he stores his factions: and where he keeps his current factions hes working on: -
Problem with that is how many people have you seen with armies of Royal Knights, or Lion troops or Dragon Knights? yet how many armies of Teutonic Warriors or Greek Hoplites, or Hospitaller's and such? He likes to be unique in that aspect. but too each his/her own.
-
He makes his own creations, making tunics and such for them, while he does have a bunch of the LEGO castle knights he doesn't show them off since they're nothing new or unique.

you can see most of his armies here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=asterios

BrickArms 2011: August Release!
Mythos replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Enigma; I understand what your saying but understqand from our point of view it angers alot of us when protos are shown and it can take years if at all for some to even show up as actual production runs, and this is what turns us off, we see items we'd like to get and they never show up as production items, just protos forever. -
BrickArms 2011: August Release!

I agree, my husband and I have been hearing from a few people who are not happy with Brickarms prototype dealings, some of them have even been mad about it, saying its not fair for Brickarms to tease people the way they do with the prototypes and then never produce them for public sale or take forever to get them out, in fact my husband recently swore off of Brickarms because of this too. -
Where Can I Find a Cheaper Death Star
Mythos replied to Lord Of The Fries's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Actually if you don't care for the box the set comes in, then Flat Rate Priority Shipping is your friend, might be able to squeeze it into a large Flat Rate box which is about $60 if shipped in the box it can be quite expensive. -
Well right now my husband has already told one guy that if you want all 6 of the LEGO minifig/parts/accs. (not the BA or MB stuff), he'd let them go for $150 for all 6 lots plus S&H of $15 in the US and $50 internationally.
-
My husband says it was like a special "test" run or something like that, only available from LEGO but not available to the public.
-
the Mega Blok lot is $35 total shipped in US or $65 Total shipped out of US(can be combined with other items):
-
Question is what would you offer for that lot? you've got 5 army men, 46 flesh heads, no HP figs, 4 ostriches, 13 horses, and 2 grey boats.

Ok my husband has decided on which of his armies hes going to use for his fort, but he now needs an army to attack it, so he is asking around on what he should use: Right now hes trying to figure out what shield type to use (out of the three shown or get something else) and whether to use the kilt or not, and if he should have helmets on the spearmen or the archers (and what type if any?). heres a couple of pics to get an idea of the designs to use:
-
sorry to hear the bad news the towers were looking really good.
-
yes they are and some rather unique pieces too.

the round one and square one are BrickTW products in fact the link to their forum is in my signature.
-
he'll probably make a couple hundred since the fort will house about 100 troops in it.
-
Well he got the parts for his towers, now he only needs to figure out what to do for the headquarters then work on the outside terrain of the fort:
-
Well he had to make an order for the plates needed but heres how his army is coming along(1st image shows a couple troops with shield hes going to use):
-
Actually he decided to go with the 2x2 reddish brown round plate with a 1x1 met. silver round plate in the middle for the boss, he believes this is more appealing as the old Celt small round shield which was also like a Buckler.
-
believe it or not he thought of that a little bit ago and was trying to think about it.
-
He was thinking of using the shields from the vikings line, but he'd have to order those and ordering a couple hundred could get pricey, as it goes his fort is supposed to be around 600-500 BC on the greek border country, and the Celt's/Gauls (and so on) clan warriors have been around alot longer then that (they just didn't brag about it like the Greeks/Egyptians/Romans, etc..)so he figured they would make a good barbarian force to attack the fort. but its a matter of coming up with a fig design, as it goes he'll be using that torso design since he has several hundred of those still lying around in a tub, same with the legs, the kilts he planned on using on his Roman's but they didn't look good on them so hes thinking of recycling them for this project, problem is his only weapon he has alot of is the BF Falcata in Dark Grey so that might be their weapon of choice, which isn't historically accurate much, he might have some Silver Gladius's hanging around but not enough. as it goes hes hoping to avoid haveing to spend money on anything and using what he has, but that might not be an option.

I think the ship should be bigger, both Bi-remes and Tri-Remes and so on were much larger ships then some people think, but it is still a very nice looking ship. as to responses don't worry about it since even my husbands big yellow paper weight hasn't had many responses either.
