Battle Dwarf to me.

Elf is such a disappointing figure even after the full reveal. Red Hood is too simple. Spooky boy is meh. I won't vote for Marge because no Simpsons figure should deserve to go ahead unless they have good accesorries and she doesn't. Stratchen Post is... a terrible minifigure, at least for the CMF line.
So I can't believe I did it, but I voted Cheshire Cat.
-
I voted for the Sheriff although I like Relay Runner a lot too (despite not owning him). The shield is a great accessory but really the only good thing about Forest Maiden. I don't think the minifigure design is that good - odd hairpiece + normal legs would look better than the dress piece.

Demolition Dummy, for all the same reasons everyone already mentioned in the thread.

So, a licensed series that isn't Batman, Disney or Ninjago movie.
What could it be...

You just don't look at the bow and quiver.
That's just... nice printing and a sign. Just like hundereds of other CMFs have. You tell me what's not interesting enough in a Lego man wearing an actual, body sized Banana suit.

... yeah, but I was talking about 2018
Winter 2018 - Batman 2
Spring 2018 - S18 (costumed)
Summer/fall - Ninjago 2

Well yes but I thought about possible Series 19, but not gonna happen.
That means there is another licensed series in 2018, besides Batman?
I assume the layout is Batman 2 - Series 18 (costume party) - Ninjago 2

What are Mob Boss, Hired Gun and Frontiersman doing here?
By the way, Mob Boss is the best one
-
Well, obviously, the Banana Man, who is along with Hot Dog Guy the best minifigure, and I would call it the 'greatest collectable minifigure'. Too bad he will get beaten by Rogue (he's overrated, no interesting parts and awful face!)

Well that's obvious, but the problem there would be minifig's arms. It would be impossible to fit them there and have a normally shaped cake.

No regular series, I guess?

Well, now 4 people, 3 of them already known to be extremely reliable, said the same thing, so yeah, costume series confirmed!
2 hours ago, albertbalanza said:I guess that is correct, on all accounts. Saying that it is a 'costume party' theme still opens it to a lot of potential designs. And if this is a sort of celebration of LEGO's minifigures through out the years, then it is reasonable to assume that each particular milestone may well be represented - only with the twist of having them as 'costumes'.
He just said that it is not a party. So it's not a "40th anniversary of minifigure party series", there are costumes of all kinds.
-
Yeti is far better than everybody else in this round.
-
Ok, so the costume party series is no longer a rumor!
Cake suit guy? Hm... I can't think of any shape of cake that would fit a minifigure costume.
-
Thomas Muller! I thought they wouldn't be able to make him right, but it turned out great and accurate. Others are all 'meh', except the Leprechaun
-
Tiki warrior. No wonder he has that much votes, every other minifigure is from early series so he has the advantage of better printing and more interesting head piece.
-
Baseball player.
-
Uh, this is a good one. The conquistador, gangster or the spy...But vote goes to the conqusitador because the spy has a generic torso, and the gangster doesn't have a Tommy gun.

1 hour ago, Robert8 said:Or maybe we are taking this wrong and they won't be animal costumes
Maybe it will be like a Halloween party? And they all will be dressed as monsters, like Dracula, Frankenstein's bride, Mummy, etc
We all know LEGO loves Halloween
Um... isn't that what series 14 already is? What's the difference between actual monsters and people dressed as monsters, when it comes to Lego minifigures? Think about it.
Anyway, just please no, no more Halloween, monsters or anything related. I'm sick of it!
Also nobody suggested that every minifigure will be an animal. Surely if they do a costumed 'party' series it would be logical to throw in food costumes, or any cool looking, vertical object, like the rocket suit boy.
-
Roman Commander, yeah. None of these are excellent to me though.
-
A giraffe like the one from Robert's designs would be good. How do we not have one already? Also elephant, mouse (this would be a kid), phone, pizza, chili pepper, any kind of bottle (well, except alcohol obviously), ice cream...
Reuses/recolors of past costume molds are inevitable, but it's also hard to reuse most of them, like the banana or hot dog. Here's what I think they can reuse:
Lizard guy's head, but with wings instead of the tail (or a new piece whoch combines huge wings and a tail), can work perfectly for a dragon suit guy.
Panda costume's head can be used for a bear suit guy, recolored in brown.
Chicken can be recolored with rooster colors.
Bee suit girl's headpice in black/brown can be reused for an ant suit guy, with new arms.
They can do something with the hot dog as well, maybe change the sausage and sauce color.

... Except I mentioned all costume series in this thread?

Yet you say the correct theme is nowhere in this thread? Hopefully this just means that you missed this... and we are actually getting costume party. Right?

Lmao...
Seriously, man, you say that we are getting on your nerves talking about regular series, yet literally each comment you post is complaining about Disney 2 not happening.
And I agree with rob-ot. At least Disney, like The Simpsons is made up from all sort of iconic characters from different times in history. Unlike Batman or Ninjago series, they don't need to keep up with one franchise/movie and release it while it's fresh. They can make a Disney series 2 in even 3-4 years from now.

So Brothers Brick was right when they said the minifig is nothing special.
What's the point of making it a 'mystery character'?
The face is not from the Evil Dwarf (compare the eyebrows and lower part of eyes), though they do look a bit similar.
