To me the entire Dark Turquoise facade reminds me of a jukebox.

Hi LegoSjaak,
I understand and apologize if the post was inappropriate. I grew up with Lionel Trains, I do not remember seeing Legos when I was young and didn't build my first one until 18 months ago when I turned 65. My wife and I enjoy the whole experience and plan to continue to expand our Lego collection and Lionel Trains. We have progressed to building a few of our MOC's including the Church, memorial garden, playground and school.
Thanks for responding.
Regards,

P.S. Looks like on line as well

I used a Brother P-touch to print text and a grey scale photo. Worked pretty well. I had it hooked up to an iMac computer.

Robin Lego, Yes, your garden was the inspiration. We lost our 15 year old airedale terrier recently and decided to make the garden in her honor.

First I'd like to thank Robin Lego for the garden idea. Below is how my modulars are displayed with a MOC church. I hope you enjoy the video.

Found really good picks at

and looks like they are set up for the video when available.

I wonder if the detectives car might be the bonus set when the detective agency is released...

This past weekend I was fortunate to acquire a used, complete Sydney Opera House for $150 through CraigsList. It is now assembled and will eventually be used for parts.

Having just started in July, I have one of each starting with the Fire Brigade. I also have the Haunted House and just recently acquired a used complete Sydney Opera House for $150 that will be used for parts to attempt a MOC church.

Like you, at first I didn't give it a second thought but it is now on my list. I plan to set it up as a carnival area on my lionel train platform along with some modulars. The carnival will be just out of town and will be replaced with a winter village as it gets closer to Christmas.

Being new to LEGO in general and the winter village series in particular, how does one get the extra elf and 2 toy soldiers?

Thanks Legogal!
Colosus, I enjoyed reading your post. I think some of my kids and friends may question my sanity...

Well, the Modulars got me interested. When I turned 65 last month I started thinking about things I'd never done and building a LEGO was one of them. I grew up with Lincoln Logs and Erector Sets, LEGOs I don't remember seeing. Went to the local LEGO store and the young lady there was extremely helpful. I walked out with the Parisian Restaurant. Since then I've built the Town Hall and Pet Shop. Bought a few others waiting for the grandkids to come visit and help grandpa build them. I'm pretty sure I'm hooked!

Hi Tim,
2011 Mustang GT 5.0 L. Way back had a '67 Shelby GT 350, sold to buy first home. I still see the buyer and he drives it regularly.

Thanks for the welcome. Lionel because I have a set already, I like the sound of them running and they bring back fond memories. I also have a Lionel trolley to run back and forth down Main Street eventually.

Well done! I think I’m going to do something similar in my city.
