The Coming Darkness - Day One

It seems we're in the same boat, Camanakin Vote: Camanakin/Big Cam I would also welcome an investigation on myself to prove my affiliation to the town. And for those of you voting in the coming hours, I would ask that you trust me, who presented a clue in good faith, instead of Camanakin, who only attempted to search for clues when his own life was at stake. Vote: Camanakin/Big Cam

The Coming Darkness - Day One

I would ask every one to examine the clue provided by Camanakin carefully, especially if it seems to clear him of murder. There is a chance there are no more clues by now, but if there is, would you really trust a clue presented by one of the two top suspects at this stage? I would not expect any of you to accept a clue provided by myself if I searched for another one now. Until we find the cause of death, I really think you should overlook the hammer, yes. I might as well claim you held poor Leigh in a head-lock until applesauce filled his poor old lungs.

The Coming Darkness - Day One

I agree it doesn't help us much, but only because it doesn't clear either Camanakin or myself Otherwise it's a great clue, on the presumption that we can trust it. Using the magic of numbers and accounting, I find that we could possibly get up to about 7 witness clues per day. We've only used 3 today, so I think we should get one or two more to try and get this cased solved. Time is running out, and we need to start voting too

Just the usual. Sometimes I get so sick and tired of addition and multiplication that I nail kittens to the floor Other times I just need to put up shelves or hang up pictures on the wall.

The Coming Darkness - Day One

As certain members of this village would testify to, I don't mind exposing myself, but I'm starting to think that perhaps we should search for another clue as well. Any takers?

The Coming Darkness - Day One

Indeed, this would make sense, although the logic of eating applesauce from a bowl must be questioned at all times. In any case, I was just referring to Roweena's own account, who specifically mentioned Leigh lying face down in a bowl of applesauce. I think we can agree, though, that this is a truly bizarre murder; was the applesauce the murder weapon, or was Leigh just an eccentric who loved to start the day with a bowlful of applesauce? Both could be equally true, of course But I cincerely hope we catch the killer and get to know what really happened in that kitchen as soon as possible.

The Coming Darkness - Day One

I see that Donut's clue sparked quite a discussion, but Roweena is right, and hopefully my clue will bring closure to this matter: The killer was smiling, that I'm sure of. Now in my book, this would mean Scotty didn't do it, and I would never accuse Mr. Strut of smiling, so that leaves Camanakin at the top of the suspect list. Ok, if you want to be technical I'd have to include myself as a suspect, but I'd be insane to incriminate myself. I have first hand experiece (both metaphorically and literally) with the perverse nature of members of the Skywalker family, but the disgusting killing of Leigh takes their perversity to levels I never knew existed. Now the question is, is there anything else to consider, should we search for more clues, or is this enough to lynch Camanakin?

The Coming Darkness - Day One

Perhaps you can put your insanely large muscles to good use and prevent those planets from aligning in the first place But poor Leigh, what an undignified way to go, lying, presumably on the kitchen floor, with his face down in a bowl of applesauce. I hope he wore pants. If it's one thing accounting has tought me it's that the devil's in the details, and I strongly believe we need some clues to get to the bottom of this heinous crime.
  10. Carly Vikera here, town accountant. I fix up your books; above or under the table; your choice. I also have a bit of Skywalker in me. Regularly. Above or under the table. Not that I want to compete with dear Bananakin

    Gold in the mail today

I used the replacement parts form, and received a single pack of 4 gold coins and 1 gold bar in the mail after about three weeks. I wrote back to them regarding the remaining "broken" gold coins and bars, and will hopefully receive a few more in a while. (I haven't received a reply on my follow-up mail yet.)

Pat on the back to everyone so far, the build is coming together really nicely. I love all those different coloured classic space-men going about their business while smiling placidly They remind me of the Doozers from Fraggle Rock. Looking forward to the continuation!
  13. Sign me up, Scotty! The prospect of a week long game in realish-time sounds scary and fun at the same time, and I would love an opportunity to play. Thank you for considering me, def.

Hehe, or greed I had such fond memories of last year's sales, when Big W ended up being my number 1 LEGO pusher. Heh, now that spectacle I would pay for

Has anyone found any unexpected bargains at the Big W "toy spectacular" so far? I popped by Big W at Golden Grove and TTP (Adelaide) this morning, but didn't spot any extra bargains. I found the whole thing rather unspectacular and underwhealming and left empty handed

UCS Imperial Shuttle on the shelves at Big W Golden Grove (Adelaide). Picked up a box, nice and heavy, but for $448 they can keep it to themselves

Ooh, you should try it before you dismiss it. It's great when sorting through large amounts of unsorted LEGO, and I find the sound it makes while the pieces jumble around soothing. But it drives my better half nuts

    What did you buy today?

It's "that time" of the year here in Australia when the department store chains start having their mid-year toy sales. I popped by my local Myer department store today to get the Atlantis board game, and came out with the game, Millennium Falcon and Tower Bridge And next week Kmart, Target and Big W (who will stock the UCS Imperial Shuttle) start their sales...

If the Shuttle Expedition is $130 this week already, can we expect to get it for a bit cheaper when Kmart's toy sale starts next week?
