My newest modular is a small hotel with a New Orleans French Quarter look.

The first floor:

Three rooms on the 2nd floor with a shared bath:

The top floor apartment belongs to the owner - Mr. Good & Evil. His secret lab is accessed through the bookcase.

And the back...

Really love your use of the extra handcuffs into architecture. Looks like you had fun with this creation. :classic: why are there tiles on the second floor with the gauges?

Wow, amazing modular building. The detail on the exterior is amazing, front and back. As others have mentioned, brilliant part usage with the handcuffs and the ornate fence in general.

The interior is really well done too!

Well done and thanks for sharing!

Happy building :)

Very nice work. The detail on the railings is amazing.

I also have been looking into doing a New Orleans style building, but I am worried that it will not fit into our town layout well.

Another great build. Very good all around, but you should be particularly proud of your use of handcuffs. That detailing really turned out nicely. The build as a whole reminds me of the video game Infamous 2, which is based on ..... you guessed it.... New Orleans.

Very good.

I was thinking of something similar for my town.

But your balcony detail is better than I was planning.

Now I can follow your guidance. :sweet:

Now you just have to get some girls on the balcony and guys in the street with beads for a truly authentic feel, empty beer bottles in the street or sidewalk...the back looks great too, have ended up in the back of a hotel in NO before, looked almost like that. If you haven't been to New Orleans French Quarter, well this is the next best thing, great job!

Thanks everyone for all the great comments!

Pick-A-Brick. I needed tiles and the gauges were the only ones available the last time I was at the Lego store. I'll use them in spots that aren't seen from the outside.

It definitely wouldn't fit in with many towns. I am still building my town layout so I can design around it.

Very good.

Awesome... I'm glad you are inspired. :)

Maybe come Mardi Gras time I'll post some new pictures. :)

I like the way you have kept the design relatively simple but still have plenty of really cool features like the balcony and the tiling on the ground floor.

Thanks!

Love that wrought iron balcony and the fans!
