The ground floor is open for business. The front Octan_Ice_Cream_01 Sitting beside the Cinema Octan_Ice_Cream_02 Jo serving customers Octan_Ice_Cream_03 Cold drinks are available as well. Octan_Ice_Cream_04 There is a small office behind the shop, and there will be an apartment above with access from the rear laneway. Comments and crits welcome as this is my first building moc! lightningtiger Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Excellent work so far 'SeanJFry', though I wonder if the ice cream will taste oily or not ? Brick On 'SeanJFry' ! Quote
Yzalirk Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 The building looks nice but you should change the roof. Quote
Chocolatecake Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 It´s looking good. Haven't thougt of using the parts from the icecreamtruck to a icecreamshop. So, nice idea. I'll be looking forward to your future builds. Quote

SeanJFry Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 The building looks nice but you should change the roof. I think you missed the part where I wrote that there will be anapartment above. I have not started building it yet :) Excellent work so far 'SeanJFry', though I wonder if the ice cream will taste oily or not ? Thanks! It's Octan, so it tastes 'awesome'! It´s looking good. Haven't thougt of using the parts from the icecreamtruck to a icecreamshop. I bought the Ice Cream Machine set while I was building the Palace Cinema so it seemed like a good idea to make it a shop rather than a van. Octan Icecream? I'll have an unleaded one and a two diesels please.... Good looking start to a MOC. I can't wait to see it as it progresses. Now that sounds like a nice flavour. Thanks. Modulars require so many parts it may be a while before I get the first floor done. Quote
ShadowWolfHount Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 This is a great looking MOC for your first building plus I am making mostly my first system MOC buuuut it's mainly a house. Anyways, love the uses of parts from the Ice Cream Machine, also like all the stuff inside and hope to see the mike minifigure that I guess is going to be in the office and same with the apartment hope to see it as well. I maybe thinking of making my own Ice Cream shop or just make my version of the Ice Cream Truck. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Nice work, but is there also a Shell's ice cream? Probably it taste excellent too!;-) Quote
SeanJFry Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 love the uses of parts from the Ice Cream Machine, also like all the stuff inside and hope to see the mike minifigure Thanks! Mike's in the office crunching numbers. I'll post photos when I've finished the office. I maybe thinking of making my own Ice Cream shop or just make my version of the Ice Cream Truck. I'd love to see someone else's take on an Ice Cream shop. Nice work, but is there also a Shell's ice cream? Probably it taste excellent too!;-) Haha, no Shell Ice Cream down here :) Quote
SeanJFry Posted August 9, 2014 Author Posted August 9, 2014 (edited) Update. I have started on the first floor. No interior, just the front wall for the moment. Edited August 9, 2014 by SeanJFry Quote
TheLegoDr Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I wanted to do something like this too. I never bought that LEGO movie set, but I may pick it up sometime. I like how simple your ice cream shoppe looks. It is very fitting. The subtle color scheme works well too. And I like the ice cream cones on the outside. I don't love the first floor so far. I like how it is done, but I keep picturing it in terms of other modulars. But how it stands, it looks very creator-esque inspired. Keep up the good work! Quote
CityBuilder Posted August 11, 2014 Posted August 11, 2014 Looks nice, can't wait to see the interior! Quote
