Sariel Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I've been curious about these bad boys for a while, and finally got around to buying and testing a few kits. Now, considering that LEGO has done literally nothing in the lighting area since 2008, I intend to use these in my future creations (and if you're going "Heretic! Persecute him!", at least do that in Monty Python voice ;) ). Quote
andythenorth Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 (edited) Lifelites are neat. Good product, good people. They used to have a PF brick, but discontinued it. P5280200 by andythenorth, on Flickr Edited August 4, 2014 by andythenorth Quote
Jody Meyer Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 i have the two elite sets, i have a hard time incorporating them, also a set for mocs. they are a great product. nice little video. Quote
peter_m Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I think I like Brickstuff sets more - they have thinner cables. I would love to see a direct comparison. Quote
TinkerBrick Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Thank you very much for this review and first of all proposing this alternative lighting to the crowd. Quote
Jody Meyer Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 i have been looking at the brickstuff as well, i think i am going to try them next, i do want the thinner cable.. Quote
Sariel Posted August 5, 2014 Author Posted August 5, 2014 It's just my impression, but the Brickstuff sets seem larger and much, much more expensive. Quote

John Daniels Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Hello, I have the LifeLites Advanced 2 kit, the RGB Modulite kit, 3 expander boards, 3-4 of the flickering flames, and some assorted extension cables and extra lights. I'm not sure if you covered the expander boards, in your video. But I have found them extraordinarily useful for expanding a pattern to incorporate more lights, or for isolating lights from the pattern using the auxiliary power output on the advanced 2 mcu. Even though you have to purchase extension cables for the boards to work. Overall I have found the LifeLites kits to be a very useful investment. And you have created a nice review for them Sariel. ~John Quote
nerdsforprez Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I have bought several lifelites. I really enjoy them, and they offer great customer service. One of my MOC died... and even after it fell from about six feet up the cables did not rip or tear and they are still functional. Even after this..... http://mocpages.com/moc.php/386710 btw.... sorry for the URL. I am new on the site and am unsure how to post pics. Any help???? Quote
