David Thomsen Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Encountered this on my regular Science website io9: A Lego Pirate Is Sacrificed To A Colossal Wave In The Name of Science The fact that they chose a Lego Pirate for this experiment is rather endearing. They could have chosen anything, like a paper plate or any other basic toy boat, but obviously some AFOL decided to make good use of their old Lego parts. The video itself is rather disappointing, unfortunately... 'sacrificed to a colossal wave' is a good example of journalistic exaggeration. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 25, 2014 Governor Posted July 25, 2014 Since when do LEGO Pirates actually float? (not counting the 4+ 7075 Brickbeard's Ship) P.S. I incorporated the video into the first post. Quote
Lego_Warlord_8 Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I lost it after that tiny splash sound, hilariously underwhelming. Quote
