spongebrickpl Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 (edited) Hello again Eurobricks members You propably have seen my Space Truck http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=94499. Building trailers I had to modify it. Previous model was too tall. I also decided to change some details. Model represents rare these days Model Team line. It has small amount of simple functions. All motorized functions can be switched to manual mode. It was very important to me because i prefer play it without Power Functions. But some people cant live without motors so this model gives You oportunitty to choose way of playing. Peterbilt 362 Basic info: - weight 1442 g - lenght 37 studs - width 20 studs (24 with mirrors) - propulsion M motor - steering M motor. Main functions: - driving and steering with or without PF - openable doors - liftable cabin - suspension on both axles - functional interior - functional fifth wheel. 1st trailer Basic info: - weight 1180 g - lenght 54 studs - width 20 studs - M motor with receiver and "trains" battery box. Main functions: - suspension - brakes system working with or without PF - supporters moving up and down working with or without PF - toolboxes. Very important thing about truck and that trailer is that both models can be connected together just using remote control- so You dont have to touch it and move anything. 2nd trailer Basic info: - weight 1206 g - lenght 54 studs - width 20 studs - no Power Function system. Main functions: - suspension - brakes system working without PF - toolboxes. Photo gallery: https://www.flickr.c...157645084422198 Movie: Building instructions Because LDD isnt so good software to create good building instructions (brick can fly in air ) i made 2 types of files for each model. The first one is model in one piece and 2nd file shows the same model divided into modules. I wasnt able to connect few bricks so You need to use Your imagination or ask me about that. One model: truck https://www.sendspace.com/file/qkynlu 1st trailer https://www.sendspace.com/file/65k16x 2nd trailer https://www.sendspace.com/file/y16not Modular build: truck https://www.sendspace.com/file/phjxge 1st trailer https://www.sendspace.com/file/d569il 2nd trailer https://www.sendspace.com/file/at6pdz Offcourse this is not over of my LEGO story... dhc6twinotter Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 (edited) I like it! When I was living out in California, I saw quite a few of these hay trucks out there. They also use these trucks to haul produce from the orchards. You've hit it spot on. Edited July 21, 2014 by dhc6twinotter Quote
Zerobricks Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 I like the cartoonish look and the smooth lines. For movie remove the S from http to show properly. Quote

TinkerBrick Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 A Masterpiece! The brakes are a nice detail. You managed to hide the PF elements ingeniously. Quote

Great Job!! PS,,, Is it possible that you can add a partlist? --> Nevermind asking it - found the partlist on Rebrickable   It would be great honor for me to see it. Thank You You found partlist on Rebrickable because I uploaded it after Your post If You need any partlist and You have LDD file there is option to found it. Just open LDD file, in right corner- Generate Building Guide (F7) and when You have it look for left corner- HTML building guide. When You have HTML instruction go to the last page- there You have part list. I tested my instructions (that modulars) and it was very difficult to use them. Very often You choose a brick and You dont connect it anywhere Bricks are flying in the air. Even if You build smaller modules it is the same problem. But I dont have skills and time to use more advanced program so I have to stay with LDD Quote
Cumulonimbus Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Very nice, reminds me of the classic model team sets. I like your colorscheme, it is very striking and unusual while using non-exotic colors. I'm very curious about your braking system. Could you tell and/or show more how it works? Quote

Start my Youtube movie at 3.55 and 6.12 because there is about it. If it isnt enough please wait about 3 days and I will show it better. Here is a little more about the mechanism: Edited July 24, 2014 by spongebrickpl Quote
