Hi,

can stalling somehow damage a PF motor? Of course i only mean short time stalling, so e.g. just 1 to 3 seconds - but repeatedly?

Yep, stalling any DC motor will create issues. In PF there are several safety fuses that will cut in to protect the batteries and the motor but in the end it is adding extra stress to the brushes and commutator. That said M motors are cheap as chips so if you break on you can always replace it

Return to center? Depends, seeing the PF motors have thermal fuse, receivers have SCP, and that the battery box has thermal fuse I doubt you can damage the motor too much,
