Kumbbl Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Hi, can stalling somehow damage a PF motor? Of course i only mean short time stalling, so e.g. just 1 to 3 seconds - but repeatedly? Thanks for your answer. Quote
kieran Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Yep, stalling any DC motor will create issues. In PF there are several safety fuses that will cut in to protect the batteries and the motor but in the end it is adding extra stress to the brushes and commutator. That said M motors are cheap as chips so if you break on you can always replace it Quote
Zerobricks Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 (edited) Return to center? Depends, seeing the PF motors have thermal fuse, receivers have SCP, and that the battery box has thermal fuse I doubt you can damage the motor too much, Edited July 16, 2014 by Zblj Quote

Zerobricks Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I put some 20+ volts on them when I was testing flying machines and after a while they shut down. Quote
Black-Build Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 What about L-motors stalling in the 9398 & 41999? Quote
Tommy Styrvoky Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I had one of my PF m motors die from something (I used it in return to center steering) but it could have been from a short-circuit In the wire. Quote
