Bricknblue Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Why is this topic looking like a wish list ? We are in-between toy fairs, after this weekend it will be "Oh that looks nice, but DAMN that price!" topic. Quote

Yeah, that's right NY Toy Fair is a week away.......five days to Lego World so we'll have even more to comment or complain about right ? Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 These diver sets look great! All those sea animals... The city square is also another great set! Quote
BatonMedved Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Building on the discussion of the road-baseplates, I would be really happy to see introduction of modular parts for highway. Remember set 6600 from 2000s? I was lucky to grab it on Bricklink, just cause of the overpass. Quote
SMC Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 (edited) Does anyone think the sub does anything, what's at the back do you think there's a place for drivers to get in? Edited February 7, 2015 by SMC Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Does anyone think the sub does anything, what's at the back do you think there's a place for drivers to get in? More likely the pilots of those subs enter through the windscreen of said sub......just like putting pilots into Tie fighters.....click hinged ! Quote
SMC Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Yeah it looks like that but what's the rest of the sub do? Seems there is space inside for more than one fig at the front. Quote

Vorkosigan Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Does anyone think the sub does anything, what's at the back do you think there's a place for drivers to get in? Based on this shot from the youtube posted a couple pages ago, there is nothing back there for minifigs. There are the storage containers on the sides, and then it narrows down and is just engine structure. I think at most there might be a little storage for diving equipment behind the operator. Quote
SMC Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 ^ Good spot, would have liked to see something a bit more. For the biggest sub in the line its not very big. Quote
Vorkosigan Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Yea the big sub from the 97 divers had the nice feature of opening in the back and a computer for a second minifig to use for research. The computer with a picture of a fish on it always cracks me up. Quote
nesquik Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 ...and a computer for a second minifig to use for research. The computer with a picture of a fish on it always cracks me up. Wow, what a blast from the past! I had forgotten all about that part. Likewise, it's easy to forget just how good that diving sub-theme was. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Better/non-blurry pictures of the City Go Kart polybag: What's interesting about this polybag is that it comes with a silver chima fist piece and an alien ray gun. Quote
tedbeard Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 A safari theme would be cool, but the term "safari" could be controversial because is related to hunting Not so much anymore if they simply make is an obviously "photo safari" with the minfigs equipped with a selection of still and video cameras. El Garfio Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 A safari theme would be cool, but the term "safari" could be controversial because is related to hunting Something like this: 4637-1: Safari Building Set But with molded animals, a better car, and more detailed elements. Quote
SMC Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 ^ Yep that would make a great line one year in city, I wonder if the cost of the molds mean lego don't want to make city sets that look bad value. Recently they had added one new animal each year but two bears were the same mold so less cost. They couldn't use the old elephant mold as it would be dated now so all new molds would be need, at least 3 for a elephant, giraffe and loin. Could even do a stop the hunters to up some action, Quote

So one bloke in Chima has a 3-cyl engine for a hand? Looks like enough for me. Edited February 11, 2015 by XAxles Quote

Could even do a stop the hunters to up some action, I know this thread shouldn't become a wishlist, but hey, it's still fun to talk about things we'd like to see LEGO produce. Playmobil has had a safari/zoo theme for euhm, forever, so I don't really understand why LEGO doesn't give it a go. They already have a lot of animal molds they could use and even the old elefant mold looks good IMHO. Just make it a 5 set theme and see how it goes from there. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Well, we don't have to wait long now......tomorrow is the 12th so Lego World starts and that's when we'll see the latest sets in layouts......hopefully better close ups of City Square and fingers crossed for the heavy haul train too.......and maybe just maybe a sneaky surprise we know nothing about at all. Quote
XAxles Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) ...Maybe, just maybe, a sneaky surprise we know nothing about at all. Valet parking? Office building? Harbor 2.0? A 6-axle crane in the similar vein found in 60026 Town Square with a slightly bigger and better boom assembly? A bigger Divers sub that TLG successfully hid all those toy fairs? And heck, how would that train look like, BTW? Is it something many LEGO Train fans have been waiting for, or is it a bit more modern? Edited February 11, 2015 by XAxles Quote
