Hi all, I'm new to this site but not to the Lego world. I started with Lego in the early 70's and still have a lot of my old stuff. I retired my old bricks in my early teens and moved onto airfix and airfix type kits but quickly moved past them and onto scratch building my own models. It was a nice hobby for a while until it turned into my day job and I've been making models for architects museums and movies for the last 22 years

Well about a year ago I met a girl and it turned out she has a kid (8 y.o.) and he is mad into Lego. It was nearly 25 years since i had touched a brick and this kid wanted me to build him a "space police lab prison". It took me ages because i kept stopping and examining all the new shapes and colours and bricks and all the other doo dahs i had no idea how to use, her son actually had to teach me how use some of them

Since that day I have been re-hooked. I went and bought the pet shop and it's kind of spiraled on from there. I'm still re-learning how use all these new parts and I'm in awe at the MOCs on here. My old bricks have been dragged out of retirement and old sets rebuilt to show the kids how much "better" they were in my day (NOT!)

At the moment I'm in the middle of my first custom modular building to add to my others. I'll go and find the right place to post some pictures but here's a sneek peek until i sort out where to go.

I hope the pic works.

A very warm welcome to Eurobricks Luke

Children are, to me, the best reason to get back into and to stay into Lego :classic:

I think you'll be very happy here.
