What ?

A modular from LT ?

Yes, it's an Octan Rural office and store.

I should of said picture heavy I guess  but you can see the two sections that come away so repairs or minifig positioning can be done.

Any comments and questions feel free to post them. :classic:

Well, after regaining consciousness...

Congrats on a finished modular! And a nice one and all!

Love it when the interior is visible from the outside; just add enough windows :classic:

Great design, with the angled walls (my favourite part). Easy to adjust to fit a modular street as well.

Would it be an idea to replace the profile bricks with masonry bricks? Mere details...

Keep putting those bricks together!

Thanks 'Withacee' for your kind words and feedback.

I chose those bricks for that effect of a late 50's early 60's building design rare in modulars I think.

To explain, downstairs is the store/showroom/merchandise sales, upstairs agro-business (real estate, livestock, finance and insurance).

Blimey! Who are you and what have you done with the real LT? Are we going to see a ransom demand next?

Seriously though. It looks really good. I like the inverted slopes on the front, the 1x2 grille detailing on the facade, the interior design bits and the pullout sections.

Tip of the hat LT!

Wow, really striking features on the building especially the inverted buttresses. The interiors are very well done as well. If I were asked (and I haven't been so take this advice for what you paid for it) I would add in some red and green stripes at the top of the building - nothing too much, just a pop, maybe remove the top two layers of bricks and lay down two rows of green plates, two rows red, and two rows white. Just to really brand it as an Octan building. Even without it really is a sharp looking building. Thanks for posting it.

Very very nice. I like the angular walls. There's no such build where LT is not the master, right? :)

But tell me... where are the Octan colors?

Really a great building! I like the architecture (and I think masonry bricks wouldn't work that well here), and you interiors are excellent as always, of course.

Thanks everyone :sweet: , it might not be my last modular, because I have worked out my style so I'm full of surprises.......now also I haven't made the brick-built sign yet and new fuel pumps.....that's today......so keep watching as usual ! :sweet:

Thanks '3BrickFriends' for your kind words as well, I was going originally do my usual open back but I thought of a fusion idea of a modular with access panels/removable walls.

the lower floor is a combo design of two 1950's hardware stores on the east coast of Australia.....I'll try and find those pictures again.

Edit - found them......

MF002650.jpg.....and I can't show you the picture thanks to image extension :hmpf_bad:

not bad, not bad.

Maybe you...... you....... agh, I can't say anything

Maybe I can........ no, I can´t

Well, only..... Not Bad

Oh, I got it

maybe you would make it taller, Maybe, I don't like small buildings, maybe

Thanks 'charly1221', , no not taller....because it's meant to be in a rural town....so yeah I might try a few more buildings to go along with this....might be a post office, but again not to tall.

Keep watching for those small additions to this everyone !

Wow, what an exceptional design - a very original building, I especially love the contrast between plain white elements and the dark bluish grey profile bricks. The interior is great as always, too. Looking forward to more of those Googie style buildings from you!

Thanks 'ER0L', I'm just working on the Octan sign and new fuel pump for this......then I can start the post office which will be a modularised version of a recent post station......keep watching !

I like the corrugation on the walls, but I think that throne and sink out the back is brilliant. I can't wait to see what you do with your signage, you have a knack for it.

Thanks 'Criga88' and 'Lordofdragonss' for your kind words.......hmm, the colour will be in the sign and pump.....keep watching !

Edit - how does this look ?

Ohh a modular! Really nice, considering you do a lot of details, leaving the open back looks... somewhat "wrong". A good idea is adding a removable wall or roof to show what's in the inside, also since your buildings are mostly with only ground floor :classic: This building (modular or not) is a good step in the direction of better realism.

Nice! I particularly like the angled parts on the wall and the feature wall created with the grill bricks. I also like how you have done the basin in the bathroom.
